Hogwarts: I Truly Am The Model Wizard.

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Diagon Alley

After careful consideration, Kyle ultimately decided to deceive his father and withhold the information about the three-headed dog, Fluffy.

After all, he too had a fondness for magical creatures, but unlike Newt Scamander, he didn't have the natural talent to understand them. Creatures like Fluffy were extremely rare, even in Greece, and missing the opportunity to see one would make it very difficult to encounter such a creature again.

When comparing the two, deceiving his father seemed like the lesser evil.

However, as a form of compensation and to ease his conscience, Kyle quickly wiggled free from the twins' grasp, made his way over to Chris, and offered him an apologetic glance.

This left Chris utterly confused.

The twins were just as puzzled. They had been preparing to sprinkle their Jumping Powder on Kyle's head, but at the last second, Kyle ducked, and they missed. Their Jumping Powder was already in the air!

It didn't matter if it was a second sooner or later, but why did it have to happen right now?

The twins were stunned, helplessly watching the powder draw a beautiful intersecting arc in the air before landing directly on each other's heads.

"Hiss... Hiss..."

"Scrape... scrape... scrape..."

Two rapid inhalations followed by the sound of frantic hair scratching caught everyone's attention. Instantly, everyone turned to look in the direction of the noise.

And when they did, they saw Fred and George, looking like two adult baboons, scratching furiously at their disheveled hair.

Their already unruly hair was now even more chaotic, resembling a bird's nest. Honestly, even the Sorting Hat would have looked more put-together than their current appearance.

"Oh, Fred, George, what kind of prank are you two pulling now?"

Seeing the strange looks from the crowd, Mrs. Weasley's face flushed crimson. She quickly grabbed the twins by their ears and led them down a side alley, away from the growing number of curious onlookers.

At least the alley had fewer people, so she wouldn't lose face in front of the whole of Diagon Alley.

She had enough of her sons making fools of themselves on the main street. If they kept this up, the Weasley family's reputation, built over hundreds of years, would be completely destroyed. Gone, just like that!

Mrs. Weasley's actions were swift and decisive, but for the twins, it was a tough moment. The sound of their gasps grew louder, and Kyle couldn't help but think he saw tears in their eyes.

If it was true, then he had to admit—these two were really twins; even their tears seemed to fall in perfect unison.

Meanwhile, seeing Mrs. Weasley drag the twins off, Mr. Weasley seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. He forced an awkward smile and waved everyone forward to continue shopping without waiting for them.

At the back of the group, Kyle, hiding behind Ron, struggled to suppress his laughter.

But the moment he looked up and saw Diana's gaze, he suddenly froze. He forced a grin, trying to appear awkward but polite.

His mother was incredible, with an almost uncanny sixth sense. Nothing ever seemed to escape her notice, no matter how hard he tried.

He had been lucky when he traveled back in time. If he had been born five or six months earlier, he was certain his true identity would have been exposed by now.

"Honestly…" Kyle muttered, scratching his head. "With a mom like this, I have zero privacy."

Diana didn't say anything, but after giving Kyle a warning look, she turned away.

The whole thing wasn't that serious. Molly just got a little flustered out of concern.

As for the twins, their antics were infamous at Hogwarts. Everyone in the magical world had heard stories of their pranks. Even Diana had caught wind of their more bizarre schemes. There were tales of exploding toilet seats, using sacks to capture Mrs. Lorice during a midnight wander, and throwing dungbombs under the seats of Slytherin first-years, accusing them of wetting themselves in class. There were surely more stories no one even knew about.

Compared to those legendary misdeeds, mimicking baboons in the street was nothing.

Thus, the bystanders merely chuckled, but no one thought to criticize the Weasleys too harshly—except, of course, for certain unnamed individuals from pure-blood families with platinum-blonde hair.

The reason Mrs. Weasley reacted so strongly was simply because she wasn't accustomed to this behavior.

Bill, Charlie, and Percy were all extremely well-behaved, and she subconsciously expected the twins to act similarly. Even though the twins' behavior was worlds apart from their older brothers, this impression wouldn't change overnight.

It was easy to imagine Percy, the most serious of the bunch, mimicking a baboon in the street. It gave some context to Molly's reaction.

But this phase would pass. In a year or two, once there were more reports from Hogwarts, Mrs. Weasley would become accustomed to this behavior.

At least, next time something like this happened, she'd be more composed.

After the brief interruption, the group continued on their way.

Since Ron and Ginny weren't old enough to attend Hogwarts yet, the Weasley family only needed to buy new textbooks for the twins and Percy this time.

But Kyle, being a new student, had a long shopping list. The most important item? His wand.

He didn't need directions. Kyle knew Diagon Alley like the back of his hand and soon found his destination.

The small, shabby shop.

Ollivanders: Makers of Fine Wands since 382 B.C.

Kyle stood outside the door, feeling a bit exasperated as usual.

The place looked so rundown. The dust on the windowsills could probably be used to make a sculpture out front. Did wizards really like that "old-fashioned" feel so much?

Gringotts and the broomstick shop looked great—clean and modern.

Was this just the power of exclusivity? A shop this dilapidated could still command attention?

But Gringotts was exclusive too…

This was something Kyle had wondered for a while. He even asked Chris and Mr. Weasley about it, but still didn't get an answer. Now standing here, Kyle just shrugged and decided it must be the eccentricity of the craftsperson.

Asking about it directly was out of the question. That would offend people. After all, Ollivander was the most renowned wandmaker in the magical world, and maintaining a good relationship with him was crucial.

But next year, when Ron entered Hogwarts, Kyle thought he could ask the twins to help him… ah, he meant ask Ron's little brother for a favor.

Not that he was scamming his friends. He was just asking Ron Weasley, the youngest brother of the twins, for a little help. No harm in that.
