Chapter 16: Chapter 16 - Dark Lord Servants
Since arriving home from Hogwarts, days passed with Felix being shuffled around. He had spent most of the time at various doctors appointments. Due to using his path ability quite often lately, he almost completely reverted to the sickly image he had when William adopted him. So William began to run various tests on him.
While nothing really new appeared in the tests, a few began to question the boarding school he attended. Some of the symptoms he has were similar to overwork in their opinions. Hence, it was kind of awkward trying to explain this wasn't the case.
"Is it just me or is this street more busy than normal tonight?" William commented.
Looking out the window of the car they were riding in. Felix also noticed that the street was indeed more busy compared to other times. Which struck him as odd since it wasn't last minute shoppers either for most on the street weren't running around or carrying bags. Christmas was the next day and most shops were closing up early.
"It's not just you." Felix said.
He began to wonder if what he saw in the crystal ball was going to come true. So he began to get slightly worried about it and wondered if he should send an owl to Dumbledore. Since if that scene is coming true, then he rather have a grown wizard by his side. The issue is, Dumbledore was a busy man and also the only grown up wizard who can fight he knows.
Felix just eliminated the other professors in Hogwarts, mainly because he doesn't have much connection to them outside of being one of their students. Then he became a bit worried since he doesn't have an owl to send a letter.
'Hopefully, I am just overthinking it.' Felix thought to himself.
His instinct screamed of danger the closer they got to home. While the streets were becoming more sparse, a few sketchy or suspicious looking people appeared. Since more often than not, frowns or sneers could be seen on faces he could see.
"Should we try to find a hotel?" William asked, a bit worried.
"I don't think our guests would allow it." Felix said.
When he said this, Felix closed his hand and yanked it backwards pulling a trash bin towards him. There it was struck by various lights that splashed and destroyed the trash bin. While Felix pulled out his wand as figures in black robes and silver masks appeared.
"This is a bad situation, isn't it." William said as he panicked.
The car came to a screeching halt, throwing Felix forward a bit. However, an explosion happened across the street barely a moment later. Thus, barely saving both of them from an explosive death.
"It is." Felix said loudly as he hopped out of the car.
Felix swung his wand like a tennis racket as he was batting away a spell. While the protego spell can't block the unforgivable spells or some dark magic, it is able to block most. Hence, Felix put quite a bit of effort into learning it and learned it well in the last month.
He just wished he could cast the more advanced version of it like the professors did at the Battle of Hogwarts. It would keep his attacks at bay for a small while, but sadly he didn't have that skill yet. Hence, he went with another option, which was just keep his wand in motion while he ran for cover as did William.
"Dad, duck." Felix said as he whipped around and used Depulso shoving a newspaper paper stand into a group.
Which may have been a mistake as his instincts told him to move and he barely managed to dodge a fatal end, but still received a nasty cut on his back. Which made him scream in pain and want to cry as he nearly dropped his wand.
Then in a roar of agony came as Felix continued to cast various magic at his attackers. He saw William running the best he could trying to stay out of this fight. Since the man was no warrior nor weapons he could use to help even if he wanted to. Hence, he just tried his best to stay out of the way and alive.
Lifting a few in black robes and silver masks with a simple Levioso since he noticed these ones weren't good at blocking. He quickly followed up with a quick and brutal Descendo where judging by their screams, they weren't getting up anytime soon.
Then, Felix hastily raised a shield before an explosion blew him back as he barely saved his own life. Rolling in pain as the world seems to be spinning, Felix rolled as spells shattered the ground he just was. Felix while crawling on the ground for cover continued to throw various spells he knew and practice at the wizards.
"Son, behind you." William shouted.
"Diffindo." Felix didn't look behind him and just pointed his wand.
Then he heard a gurgling sound as something heavy dropped to the ground. When he got to the blown up car, Felix saw a man in black robe laying on the ground with his neck half detached. Which made him nearly lose his dinner, but he needed to focus.
Clutching his side as his body ached all over and was bleeding. Felix barely poked out of cover from time to time to fire at the wizards on the other side. While from time to time a one or two would try to use Apparition and attack. However, they clearly didn't train enough to use in battle. For they would need a few seconds before casting their spell, in which Felix capitalized on.
Then a series of pops were heard and the fighting intensified. Felix could see Aurors throwing spells as they disarmed or violently disabled the Death Eaters. Which forced the remaining ones who could move or able to use magic to run away.
"Are you ok, boy?"
A stout man hobbled over where he looked like he was roughly carved from wood. His face was heavily scarred as he looked down at Felix. Then he looked around in caution upon waiting for a reply.
"Do I look ok to you?" Felix snarked at him.
"Still alive aren't you?" Moody laughed. "Much better than grown wizards and witches that ended up in your situation."
Felix wanted to complain, but due to the pain and adrenaline waning due to what he assumed to be safety returning. He fell unconscious when he saw William racing towards him worried.

Christmas morning inside the Potter home, Angel woke up bright and early with excitement on her face. It was Christmas, one of her favorite days of the year for she receives gifts and hangs out with her family. Not to mention she will finally open the Felix gift he gave her.
While Felix said they could open it early, she decided to wait until Christmas. She was really curious about what he gave since he went through enough effort to conceal it. For it was a large rectangle and shaking it didn't help. For no sound nor feeling of what is inside could be heard or felt.
"Morning Angel." Fleamont Potter said.
Before the man who was in his sixes sat a cup of coffee, while the Daily Prophet in his hand. Angel went to greet her father when she saw the front page. Then she ripped the paper from his hands, confusing the man as the paper was there one moment and gone the next.
"What's wrong dear?" Fleamont asked.
"My friend Felix is on the front page." Angel said.
There on the front page was a picture of a wrecked street and Felix was there with a bunch of Aurors. Only he seemed unconscious and injured as she skimmed the article.
"Failed Death Eater Attack." Fleamont frowned as he looked over his daughter's shoulder.
"Luckily Felix became interested in dueling a month ago." Angel said. "He managed to survive and is stated to be recovering due to it."
Fleamont looked up at his wife who just shrugged. It wasn't until James bounced into the room with Sirius who looked at them did the topic shift. This time a much lighter topic took over as Angel ran off to write a letter.
"So what for breakfast?" James asked.
