Hikigaya's Inner World of Spring

"Hikigaya, Hikigaya! Are you even listening to me?"

"Huh? Oh... yeah!"

Hikigaya quickly snapped out of his daze.

Miura continued, "Did you hear what I just said?"

"Uh, just now..."

"Hah?"

Seeing Hikigaya's clueless expression, Miura raised an irritated brow, ready to scold him harshly. But then—

Her heart skipped a beat.

Wait a second! Could it be that Hikigaya was still lost in admiration of her beauty? After all, he had just called her... cute.

Suddenly, her initial annoyance faded. Miura's cheeks flushed as she stammered, "A-anyway, don't forget about tonight's training!"

"Uh..."

"We're continuing tonight, got it?" Miura's tone was firm, though her face remained tinged with redness. She hesitated before adding, "I-I'll try to be gentler this time..."

"Miura... hiss..."

Hikigaya couldn't help but feel a little flustered at her unexpectedly adorable demeanor. However, a moment later, his expression shifted as he took a sharp breath.

"Alright, I understand. I'll be in your care, Miura."

"Hmph, it's no big deal."

"Cough, cough..."

Hikigaya cleared his throat awkwardly. "Well, if there's nothing else, you should get back to your training. Don't... waste more time on a slacker like me."

"You..."

Miura opened her mouth, hesitated for a few seconds, and then swallowed her words. Frustrated, she finally muttered, "Hmph, I guess you're right. I'll head to practice. Handle yourself during PE class, okay?"

As she turned to leave, Miura bit her lip and mumbled under her breath, "Being with you... isn't a waste of time at all..."

Of course, Hikigaya didn't catch those words.

Shortly after Miura left, a figure emerged from beneath the sink.

Kasumigaoka brushed the corner of her lips with her hand and smiled faintly at Hikigaya. "My, my, it seems the bond between 'Air-kun' and Miura is quite extraordinary."

"Uh..." Hikigaya's face stiffened. "We're just ordinary classmates... friends, really."

"Friends?"

Kasumigaoka reached out and lightly poked Hikigaya's chest, chuckling.

"Friends? Since when do regular male and female friends go out late at night for dates or hotel stays?"

"What?!"

Hikigaya's expression shifted dramatically as he quickly protested, "It's not what you think! Miura and I just agreed to run together at the park in the evenings!"

"The park, huh? Hmm, a secluded forest area does sound... intriguing..."

"Hah?"

Hikigaya's lips twitched. "You have quite the imagination."

"As a woman, I can assure you that Miura is definitely interested in you," Kasumigaoka said with a knowing smile.

"Yui, maybe... I get that."

"But even if Miura has feelings for you, I won't let her take you away. Air-kun, you're mine! You're only allowed to cheat... with me!"

"I've already told you, Miura likes Hayama."

Hikigaya sighed helplessly. "And besides, there's no way I'd betray another girl."

If not for Kasumigaoka holding certain evidence over him, Hikigaya would never have strayed from Yukinoshita!

Hikigaya's resolve was ironclad!

Hikigaya... was committed to true love!

As she observed Hikigaya's unyielding stance, Kasumigaoka appeared to be deep in thought.

After a brief pause, she suddenly grinned.

"Come on, let's make the most of our time and head behind the school building."

"What??"

"Don't just stand there—follow me!"

Without giving him a chance to protest, Kasumigaoka grabbed Hikigaya's hand and began pulling him along.

He found himself being dragged to the back of the school building.

"Heh, this spot isn't bad. No one should notice us here," Kasumigaoka remarked with satisfaction as she surveyed the area.

Hikigaya's eyes widened in alarm. "Senpai, are you insane? This is way too risky!"

He could easily decipher her implicit intentions.

"No one will notice~ All the students are in class right now," she said nonchalantly.

"No way!" Hikigaya resisted adamantly. "Wasn't earlier enough for you?"

"What did I do earlier?"

"You—"

Seeing Kasumigaoka's innocent expression, Hikigaya took a deep breath and said, "Senpai, this is impossible. There are only twenty minutes left until class ends. There's not enough time..."

"It's fine. I think it's plenty of time."

Kasumigaoka chuckled softly, inching closer to him.

Eventually, she cornered Hikigaya against the wall.

They were now mere inches apart.

The faint scent of her perfume, mixed with a hint of sweat, made Hikigaya feel suffocated.

In his mind, scenes from classic anime played out—secret meetings between male and female protagonists behind the school building...

It wasn't just in that one show with the PE teacher and the tennis club president. Many anime featured such pure, romantic moments.

"Air-kun~ give me what I want... I'm hungry..."

"Senpai, please don't..."

"If you keep wasting time, and we run out of it, I won't stop easily!"

"You—"

Hikigaya's heart skipped a beat.

After much internal struggle, he finally sighed.

"Yukinoshita... I'm so sorry!"

"I... I understand..."

Hikigaya spoke bitterly, his voice full of resignation.

"Are you... prepared for today?"

"No, but..."

Kasumigaoka pulled a small packet resembling chewing gum out of her pocket, smiling mischievously.

"I brought some protection!"

"!!!"

Hikigaya closed his eyes with a pained expression, surrendering to the inevitable.

Kasumigaoka's triumphant smile grew wider as she basked in her apparent victory.

Meanwhile, in Class 3-J, a math lesson was underway.

Sitting by the window, Yukinoshita's gaze suddenly sharpened.

She had already been distracted, her thoughts entirely occupied with Hikigaya and Kasumigaoka.

Now...

She stared out of the window, directly at the opposite building.

Yukinoshita swallowed nervously.

Could Kasumigaoka really be that bold?

To take her fiancé...

Ugh!

That woman was far too audacious!

If it were her, she could never be so daring, even under threat of death!

"Hah..."

Yukinoshita took several deep breaths as her heart raced uncontrollably.

She didn't know why, but she subconsciously reached into her pocket and touched her glasses.

A sudden, bold idea popped into her head.

I... I really want to watch them right now!

But it's class time.

What should I do? This is unbearable.
