Chapter 6: Chapter 6: The Satan and the Stray
[3rd POV]
Standing in front of Morgan was Serafall Leviathan, Magical Girl, Satan Leviathan, and one of the most powerful women in the entire world. Said woman was an attractive girl who almost looked like a teenager, standing at around 5'3, with impressive breasts (a norm for this universe), pigtails, and a plump behind. She was also Morgan's favorite female character in DxD.
Gazing at the smiling woman, Morgan broke out of her stupor.
"Leviathan-sama, what can I do for you today?" Morgan asked, shaking off the nerves expertly, gazing at the shorter woman with a small smile, a nervous one, but that was expected when looking at someone that could atomize you.
"None of that sama crap, call me Sera-chan!" Serafall said as she walked into Morgan's home, or barged in more accurately. Morgan's peerage mates all looked at her, ready to fight, only to stop the second they saw who it was. Morgan had given them the description of certain individuals they cannot, and must not fight, and this woman was one of them.
"Bu-" "Sera-Chan" Serafall cut her off.
"Okay, Sera-chan, what can I do for you today?" Morgan asked, looking at the shorter woman, thanking Satan that her sacred gears can't be sensed, and that her demonic blade was put away at the moment. Nor would she be able to sense her peerage's sacred gears, as she had used a special set of runes that her family had made, that could hide the sacred gears of others, from the senses of higher beings.
"Well, you've been selling on the devil market, right Mo-chan?" Serafall turned with a smile.
"I'm assuming this isn't Satan Leviathan speaking to me, but Serafall Sitri?" Morgan asked, realizing what this meeting was about now. Serafall nodded.
"Yep! My parents were busy, so they asked me to talk to you! They want to commission some potions from you" Serafall replied.
"How many? I would need the materials for it as well. If you can't tell, I'm not exactly the wealthiest at the moment, fallen house and all" Morgan replied, not sugar coating her family's situation. The entire underworld knew of it's "Fall" and the reclusive heir that hadn't been seen in over a decade. Serafall only knew her name after contacting some friends of hers.
"Hmm, I think it was 500 or so? And they will send over the materials, the same price as you were selling them on the market" Serafall replied with a thinking face.
"And is it only the potions I sold on the market? Or do they wish for some better ones?" Morgan asked, which got Serafall's attention. The potions that Morgan was making were already better than just about any other potion besides Phoenix Tears, so to hear that she had more than just that, was definitely an attention grabber.
"You have better ones? What kind?" Serafall asked, not only was this Serafall Sitri asking, but also Serafall Leviathan, a fact that was not lost on Morgan.
"Ones that deal with all sorts of diseases, poisons, better healing potions, and a ton of other stuff. My family's library is a gold mine of potions, ones that I wish to sell to the rest of the Underworld, but don't have the manpower or materials to do so just yet" Morgan replied truthfully. She knew that out of all the Satan's, that Serafall was easily the most trustworthy, with Sirzechs being the least in her eyes.
"...What sort of diseases?" Serafall asked, as she sat across from Morgan, with the girls peerage leaving the room to let them speak privately. Serafall had a serious tone when asking this question, as her interest in Morgan only continued to increase.
"...Well, the kinds that the higher devil society would either kill to get, or kill to stop from spreading" Morgan answered as Serafall breathed in, understanding what she was talking about.
"You're being pretty forthcoming, aren't you, Mo-chan?"
"Well, I'm not foolish enough to lie to you, Sera-chan. You'd sense it immediately. Also, I'm a good judge of character, and can tell that you won't use this information or say anything about it, until I myself am ready" Morgan replied, knowing Serafall's personality. There was a reason why she was her favorite.
"Wow, you're pretty smart for a recluse!" Serafall responded with a smile, as she found herself more and more interested in the girl cross from her.
"Well, my clan trait would do that" Morgan replied, which caused Serafall's eyes to widen slightly.
"You mean that you have it? I thought you were traitless! No offense"
The clan trait of Zagan wasn't known by many, except only the higher echelons of devil society. But they did know that it was a simple, yet powerful trait, and was the reason why they were widely considered to be the most intelligent, and knowledgeable family in the entire Underworld.
"I do, it only recently has awakened. Why do you think I can make all these potions so rapidly?"
"Huh...good point. Well, Mo-chan, I think my parents might be interested in some of these potions! For now, we'll stick with the 500 potions, but I'll speak to them about these other ones. The materials will be delivered in a couple of days" Serafall said with a smile, as she jumped to her feet, and began to walk to the door.
"You're strange, you know that?" Morgan said bluntly, getting a giggle from Serafall.
"Yep! But you're even more strange than me, Mo-chan! I look forward to seeing all the things you do over the next few years. Bye Bye!" Serafall replied, giggling as she teleported off, giving Morgan one last wink as she disappeared.
Sighing as the woman left, Morgan shut the door behind her as she walked back in.
"Was that really Serafall Leviathan?" Valiana asked as she stepped back into the room, Issei and Ingvild walking in shortly after.
"Yep, unique, isn't she?"
"That's an understatement" Valiana replied with a snort.
"She has nice oppai, not as good as yours though" Issei said with a nod, as Morgan just deadpanned at her pawns' perversion.
"D-did she notice me?" Ingvild asked, which Morgan shook her head at.
"Nope, remember the seals I gave you all? They block out the senses of others, even Serafall, so you won't need to worry about her noticing you" Morgan replied, waving away her worries.
"Where did they get something like that?" Valiana asked in surprise. A seal/rune that could block out the senses of someone like Serafall, was...incredibly impressive.
"Hmm? Oh I think they learned it from Odin" Morgan replied with a shrug.
"...Your family is almost as crazy as you are" Valiana said with a deadpan.
Morgan could only chuckle at the girls response.

[A couple of months later]
A couple of months had passed since she had met up with Serafall, and some things had happened.
Morgan had continued her training with the weights, and was now at 600 pounds each at 3x gravity. Valiana had gotten to 450 with 2x, Ingvild was at 250 with 2x, and Issei was at 200 at 2x gravity.
After the meeting with Serafall, Morgan had started to make more and more potions for the Sitri family, which they would then use in their Hospitals. She primarily made healing potions, as well as a couple of potions that were centered around poisons and curing them.
She had met up with Serafall a few more times since then, and had become friends, weirdly enough. The woman was pretty fun to be around, and the two had even gone to a couple of conventions with one another.
Contract wise the group had continued to gain more and more contracts, with Morgan herself having over 3 dozen now, and a lot of them were with magicians. The magicians in question tended to be noobies who wanted help with a spell, or something similar. And through this, she gained a decent bump in life force and magical power, which from what she could tell, was separate from demonic energy.
With both Issei and Valiana in her peerage at this point, the two of them had become rivals rather quickly, with Issei making it her mission to not only catch up to Valiana, but to also surpass the older girl. Such a thing wasn't exactly easy though, considering Valiana had recently achieved Balance Breaker for the first time, during a particularly difficult training session with Morgan.
Now that Morgan had gotten her third sacred gear, she had begun to get stronger and stronger, to the point that Valiana began to struggle against her even when using her sacred gear. The new sacred gear was monstrous in Morgan's hand, thanks to her ridiculous talent and potential. It took her only a month and a half to learn how to suck the air from someone's lungs and suffocate them to death, and a week after to learn how to make a tornado.
Ingvild had been busy as well, focusing on mastering her control over water and ice. As thanks to her sacred gear and in born clan trait, her control over water was quite monstrous, and thanks to Morgan giving her ideas, she had been attempting to learn how to control the blood of others, thanks to blood having so much water in it.
Over these two and a half months, Morgan had gotten her 4th peerage member, a certain kitty that she found in a small town outside Kuoh.

[Flashback]
Walking through the streets of a small town, Morgan was there for one reason and one reason only, Kuroka Toujou.
The girl was her next target for her other bishop piece, and was pretty important for some of her future plans. The girl was also the last piece that would be fairly easy to recruit, due to Valerie being held by the Tepes clan, and involving storming a castle...literally.
She had finally found the general location of Kuroka, after finding a few tracking spells, and then breaking into the old facility the Naberius clan had run, where Kuroka and Koneko were held. Finding one of her personal items was easy enough, and then using that to track her was even easier.
Walking through the streets, Morgan used one of her new abilities she had started to practice, which she called "Air Sense" which was a form of sensing that she learned to do through Air Stigmata. By using the sacred gear in tandem with her demonic energy, she could sense the demonic energy of others in the surroundings. This form of sensing could see through a majority of minor stealth spells and transformations.
After walking for a few minutes, she had found her target. A small black cat was walking alongside the streets, a cat that was in fact Kuroka in disguise. A subpar and pretty obvious one, but a disguise either way.
"Well aren't you the cutest little thing~" Morgan cooed at the cat, as it let out a small meow. Crouching she ran her hand over its head, scratching its ears as it purred adorably.
"You know, your disguise is pretty good, but it's not perfect" Morgan continued, chuckling as the cat stilled and its eyes widened.
"I'm not here to attack you, Kuroka. Instead, I'm here to give you an offer. Do you have somewhere we can go that is private? I'm certain it's one that will interest you" The cat stared up at her, before meowing as it began to walk off, with Morgan trailing behind.
The two had walked for a couple of minutes before finding themselves on the outskirts of the small town, in a small park with no one else around.
Morgan watched as the small cat began to glow brilliantly, and began to form into a beautiful woman with two black cat tails, a pair of black cat ears, and hazel-gold eyes. She wore a rather...revealing black kimono that showed off her large breasts, and a lot of cleavage.
"Nya, How'd you know it was me?" Kuroka asked as she stared at the tall woman across from her, trying to reign in her nerves. She could tell that Morgan was strong, just not how strong.
"Your transformation is pretty decent, but not enough. That and I used this to track you" Morgan said softly, as she brought out a small plush from her pocket. Kuroka's eyes widened at the object. It was a small cat plush that her mother had given her before she died.
"How did yo-" "The Naberius facility. It was abandoned, but they didn't bother to take your stuff, for whatever reason. Nor did they notice the amount of illegal shit going on there, somehow. Just a single look at the conditions, and it became pretty obvious to me that they weren't doing anything very legal in there" Morgan replied with a shrug, as there genuinely was a lot of evidence of illegal doings inside. But, none of it was concrete enough to put them away. And the higher devil society would never willingly destroy a family like the Naberius family.
"...What do you want nya?" Kuroka asked, a serious glint in her eyes.
"Besides helping you get back to your sister? I'd like to offer you a spot in my peerage, as my bishop" Morgan replied, being upfront. She found that being truthful in regards to recruiting someone worked much better than sugar coating it.
"I already served one devil, why would I serve another nya?" Kuroka asked with a frown.
"Well besides the fact that I know about the hair clip, and the fact that you most certainly are innocent? I also have the means to hide you from the rest of the Underworld. My family, the Zagan's, were the best ward crafters in the world, and Zagan manor - where I live - is warded to make it so not even the likes of Sirzechs or Ajuka Beelzebub could sense what's going on inside" Morgan replied.
"...How do you know about the hair clip nya~?" Kuroka asked, tensing as she prepared herself to fight.
"I have a rather...unique ability, it allows me to see bits and pieces of the future, and details about certain people. Like how your sister is currently the Rook for Rias Gremory. Or how the Naberius family was trying to make Super Devils, or how you are incredibly adept at space magic and the manipulation of it" Morgan replied with a shrug.
"What's your name nya?" Kuroka asked, as she stared the woman down.
"Morgan Zagan, the last living member of the Zagan family, and its current Lord. I'm also the King of a peerage of three, 4, should you join" Morgan replied with a small bow and a charismatic smile.
"Why do you want me of all people? There's better out there, nya" Kuroka asked, ending with nya once again. Morgan was inwardly wondering if that was just naturally how she spoke, of if she was doing it on purpose. Either way, she thought it was cute.
"Because you have a lot of potential, are one of the last of your species and...you're a good person"
"Nya? A good person? I killed my previous master, I don't think that makes me a good person, now does it, nya?" Kuroka replied as she stopped tensing so much.
"You did it for your sister, that itself makes you a good person. You could have done a lot worse to devil society, had you released the information you got, but you didn't. I think that makes you a good person, at least, good enough for me" Morgan replied with a smile.
"...And how would you get me back to my sister, nya?"
"I'd get the hair clip from her, and with your aid get the information off of it, and then give it to the Satans who would then pardon you of your crimes. Easy enough, as I plan on going to Kuoh either way and from what I've seen that is where she'll be for the new few years"
Kuroka looked at her as she listened to the plan, inwardly wondering how she didn't think of doing something similar. The idea was simple, but would most certainly work, especially considering her sister was a part of Rias's peerage, and Rias would then ask Sirzechs to help.
"I was a part of another peerage, how do you expect to get the evil pieces out of me, nya?" Kuroka asked, as she became more and more interested in the idea of joining this woman in front of her. Her nekoshou instincts were screaming to trust this woman, and her instincts had never proven her wrong, nor had her senjutsu, which was showing her Morgan's aura, which was also confirming what her instincts were telling her, and that was that the woman in front of her was trustworthy, albeit powerful.
"I've got a method, and no, it won't harm you. It'll be simple and easy. Should I take you asking this as confirmation that you wish to join me?" Morgan asked with a small smile, inwardly pleased.
"And you promise that I'll get to see Shirone?"
"I swear it on my family, that you will see Shirone, not for a couple of years, as we have things to do before we can go to Kuoh and deal with the Gremory's, but I swear to you that you will" Morgan answered truthfully, as the cat looked at her, before a sensual grin formed on her face.
"Alright then, I'll join you, master~"

[Flashback End]
And so, she had gotten her second bishop, in the form of a perverted cat, who had made it her life's duty to rile her up whenever possible, after realizing that she had a member hidden below. She wasn't the only one to find this out, as they had also found out after they went to her side of the hot spring that she had on her land, only to watch her stand up, showing off her nude lower form, including her member.
Naturally recruiting Kuroka had given her a new Fanon Maker use, but this time, it was not one, but two. Thanks to it counting as bringing her family to a new height, which she expected was due to having one of the last two members of a nearly extinct species in her peerage.
This had given her one new sacred gear, and a new ability.
[Limit Breaker | Sacred Gear - Limit Breaker's ability is the enhancement of the physical and natural abilities of the user. Granting them immense speed, strength, durability, dexterity, reflexes, senses and the rate at which their brain can function to levels that can only be considered as superhuman. The Sacred Gear also modifies the user when activated so that their body can handle the power of the Sacred Gear. When using full power circuit-like markings appear on the skin to symbolize the power running through their body. Created by Superboy19]
[Infusion | Clan Trait - Infusion allows the user to infuse their body with their demonic power, increasing their strength, speed, durability and so on significantly. Skilled users are capable of directly infusing their bones, muscles and even blood vessels with demonic power, drastically increasing his physical capabilities at the risk of damaging their body. Made by NecroGodYami]
Her new sacred gear and clan trait were both pretty strong when combined, increasing her physical strength by a massive margin, to the point that her weights were far stronger, now at 1000 pounds on each, and were at 4x gravity. That was 5000 pounds in total x4, meaning she was basically carrying around 20,000 pounds.
At the moment she was sitting in her office, sipping on her coffee as she contemplated what to do next.
'I've already got around 40 contracts going, which is constantly giving me a decent bit of magical power and life force. My wealth is at a constant uptake due to the Sitri's commissions and my sales on the devil market. My peerage is powerful and will continue to grow rapidly. And my own personal power is around Mid High Class at base, and should be at Peak High Class when going all out. So...I think it's time to finally use that King Piece of mine. If I wait too much longer, then there's a good chance I'll just blow up' Morgan thought, as she knew the King Piece would catapult her to Ultimate Class, or very very very close to it.
Either way, she hoped to be near Satan Class by the time canon came around, if not higher. As once canon started, things would really begin changing, considering she had taken both the White Dragon Empress and Red Dragon Empress for herself. Kuroka was no longer a member of the Khaos Brigade, and Ingvild wasn't asleep as she normally would have been.
She expected to have Valerie within the next year, but after that, finding peerage members would be much more difficult. As someone like Lint Sellzin or Meredith Ordinton, one of them having Incinerate Anthem, and the other having what would become one of the 5 longinus, in the form of Alphecca Tyrant. Levinia Reni was another person of interest, but she was pretty certain she was already a member of the Grigori, or at least associated with them through Tobio Ikuse.
If she was to recruit Lint and Meredith, she would have 6 longinus, the most any one peerage had every had at the same time, and the most one faction would have at the same time. But that was a dangerous game, and was entirely why she wasn't doing rating games. She didn't want Heaven, the Grigori, or the Khaos Brigade to find out about them, not yet at least, not until they were all High Class at least, and Issei was not at that level yet, she was only low class at the moment.
Either way, she'd need to think carefully on who to recruit.
Seeing as waiting any longer would be a bad idea, Morgan got to her feet and activated the wards around the office, which would make it so no one could go inside or hear inside of the room until she deactivated them.
Breathing in, she gripped the crimson king piece that was glowing powerfully, before slowly pressing it against her chest, and the second she did...everything went...dark.

That's the end of the chapter!
A new member of the peerage, meeting Sera-chan, and getting a new clan trait and sacred gear. Not to mention consuming the king piece!
The next chapter will have the longest timeskip so far, and will probably have the next big peerage recruiting.
Who should she recruit into her peerage besides Valerie? Lint and Meredith are potentially going to join, but who else?
Anyways, have a good day!
