Chapter 10: Chapter 9 - Servant Contract
Kyoto, Japan –
POV: Sariel –
It's been almost two weeks since the search for our father's heir. We had managed to narrow the search area down to Japan. Early on we searched for any humans who had an above average amount of holy power in them based off the church records, it was time consuming, but we had the church who had already gathered most of the candidates.
None had been the one we were looking for, so we moved to using devices we had created to detect holy power. When we did that, we found that it only marginally decreased the number of people we needed to check out, still in the millions.
Right now, I stand in front of one of the Ophanim, he had the appearance of a wheel within a wheel covered in eyes with a light in the middle. Communicating telepathically due to not having a mouth, he told me, "We believe there may be a lead to a promising candidate here. A family by the name Oreki, who are Catholics, have a daughter with immense holy element, a natural holy sword wielder." It may be her.
"Where is she?" I asked
"She is currently attending a private school called Kuoh Academy, within the town of Kuoh. It isn't far from here; she lives with her elder brother." The throne responded.
"Go to Kuoh and find this girl, even if she isn't the heir she can still serve the church." I said
"My lord, I must say that this is a town under control of the house of Gremory, the heiresses of both Gremory and Sitri both reside there." I grimaced at the information.
"Observe from afar then. We can't afford to reveal ourselves." The throne's rings then began to revolve faster and faster before caving in on itself, warping away towards Kuoh.

Hiyama's mansion, Kuoh town –
POV: Hiyama –
It's been two weeks since my reincarnation, and a week since the Kiba incident. Surprisingly, Kiba didn't attack Shiori again, we didn't even see him at school. Maybe his wounds were more severe than I thought, because I doubt Rias locked him up.
Regardless, we still had some contact. We stayed in contact with Sona, she was in our class after all. She mostly only inquired about our purposes and all that happened with the fallen, and she even offered Shiori a place in her peerage, she obviously declined.
About halfway into the week, a flyer was left at the front gate. Picking it up I saw the dragon crest of the Gremory family, I have been thinking about what to do with it ever since. On the one hand I can summon one of them and make allies, on the other hand it might be to get past the mansion's defenses.
It was Saturday, and next week was when canon would have officially started had I not already derailed it completely. Issei will probably find his way into the Gremory peerage anyway, but that didn't matter at present.
Having not decided what to do with the flyer, I placed it down on my desk and go to check on Shiori and the fallen. Since the fallen trio had begun their jobs as our servants, they had done their job well. I had finished creating the second underground space deeper than the bathhouse to serve as a lab.
I made sure to go to the abandoned Church and move the sacred gear extractor to the mansion for safekeeping. I also made sure there was plenty of space so I could fit big things, like a certain stray devil that will likely show up. I didn't allow any of the fallen to enter as they had not performed the contract magic with me, but they had all agreed to it. Though Raynare took a while there, I thought she wasn't going to do it, but she relented last night.
Making it to the backyard I saw Shiori outside with Raynare practicing making magic circles. Shiori as expected was a quick study, at least according to Raynare, but she couldn't do more than set an object on fire or make it float. Despite that Shiori already had great plans to combine magic and swordsmanship to make a deadly combo, I mostly left her to develop on her own.
Walking back into the house Mittelt and Kala were cleaning the kitchen from breakfast, they bowed to me as I passed calling me "Master…"
Seeing that everything was in order I went down into the lab to reflect on my training.
It was official, I was a high-class level fighter. After I had finally adapted to my powers, I managed to fight off Raynare, Kala, and Mittelt at the same time. All three were low class, but Raynare could be considered peak of low-class.
After I gave them a royal beatdown, Raynare approached me.
~Flashback~ Yesterday afternoon~
"How can I help you Raynare?" I asked.
"I wanted to ask, how you became so powerful so quickly?" She asked, I think she wants to know so she can replicate it.
"It is the power of my sacred gear. Azazel may have told you a bit and the rest you might have guessed, but I am able to make my words come true. It can't be replicated if that's what you're wondering." She seemed disappointed at the answer, but it seemed she had something else to ask.
"Go on, you can ask me anything…" I said in a consoling voice.
"Why give us a choice?" she asked not meeting my gaze.
I thought for a moment, "It just seems like the right thing to do."
She looked baffled as she stumbled out, "That's it? You just find it to be the right thing to do?" I imagine she has spent her entire life as a fallen being subjected to people who didn't give her a choice. Now that I think about it, being a fallen angel may not be as fun as some fanfiction I read in my past life would suggest. Being a pure angle may have rules, but those rule protect you from the horror that is the nature of all sentient beings.
I felt bad for her, "You will always have a choice with me." I stand up and walk in front of her. She was taller than most women, but I still stood a head over her. I placed my hand on her shoulder, "Even if we have to fake you being in my servitude, so Azazel won't harm you then that's what I'll do."
She finally looked up at me, her magenta eyes were rather beautiful. "I want to serve you…" She spoke. For a moment I thought she might try to kiss me, but instead she bowed and left in a hurry.
~Flashback End~
I didn't miss how Raynare looked at me after that. She agreed wholeheartedly to take the contract after that. She even made it very clear she was into me by how close she would always get to me.
It made me think about the idea of having a harem, in this world it was clearly normal for powerful people to have harems. I just didn't quite know if I should. Raynare was an evil bitch that killed people, but I couldn't deny that she was rather human.
I would catch glimpses of it when she trained Shiori. When Raynare was teaching, Shiori took a great interest in learning. Shiori would even go as far as compliment her power and skill. One might think it is pride, and it is in part, but I could see she was happy that Shiori thought she was capable. Shiori of course wasn't best friends with her, I doubt she even particularly liked Raynare. It was more that Shiori was stating a fact about Raynare's capabilities. Who could have guessed that the fallen angel who chased strength in others did so because she couldn't see any in herself?
If I could pull more of that out, I wouldn't mind having her as a wife, but there were other complications…
Lust was a major sin. It led many powerful men like King David, and his predecessor Solomon, to many troubles. I also couldn't discount that I was in a different world with different rules. During Cao Cao's fight with Issei, the True Longinus stopped working for him when he activated it because God had chosen Issei over him. If Issei wasn't guilty of lust, then no one would be.
I also have to consider my potential role as the heir to the throne of Heaven. Theoretically, if I make it that far I could change the rules to whatever I wanted. I wouldn't pretend if I wasn't tempted to do so, especially since I know how Issei did it for each member of his harem. Though I don't think I will be that manipulative, it just rubs me the wrong way.
Anyways… I have started using my Voice regularly, often keeping it active for as long as you can. Azael suggested that I always keep the Voice active so I could build my reserves, he said that God had always on as well. I also continued to train with Shiori's practice swords, or weapons I made with my Voice. I preferred spears for sure, and I was no weapons expert like Shiori, so it was a simple weapon to learn to wield.
Feeling done reflecting I called everyone to the lab, it was time to perform the contract.
After everyone arrived I spoke up while leaning on a metal table, "Alright, it's time for the contract magic. Each of you have agreed, but if you want to back out now is the time."
I look around at each of the fallen with a questioning gaze.
Raynare stepped forward, "Master, we are prepared to take the contract."
Nodding at her I begin the process. Gathering the voice I speak, "A triangle of magic with four circles shall appear, the circles shall appear at each point and one in the middle. For those who stand in the outer circles willingly they will submit themselves to a contract bound in blood and words. That contract shall be this,
1. They can do no harm to the individual standing in the central circle or my sister Shiori.
2. They cannot act against the interest of the individual in the central circle.
3. They are forbidden from lying or deceiving the individual in the central circle.
4. They are bound by this contract for so long as they live and shall wear its seal.
5. Should they break this contract their body shall fail them, their mind shall betray them, and their own power shall destroy them.
The signing of the contract shall begin now."
The blue glow of the triangular structure appears. With that I walk into the central circle, and the fallen trio standing on their respective circle right afterwards. The light begins to grow brighter and brighter until I am completely blinded.
After a few moments, the light fades and the room comes into view again. The triangle is gone, but upon each of the fallen's body lies a seal of servitude. It placed itself in the typical hentai area right above their privates in the shape of a heart with runes on it.
Raynare knelt down before saying, "I swear my eternal allegiance to you, my master."
"I swear my eternal allegiance to you, my master." Mittelt said as she knelt
Kala knelt next saying, "I swear my eternal allegiance to you, my master."
After they had finished with their oaths, I gestured for them to stand. "I will speak to each of you individually later, for now I must do something important. Kala, I will be having a guest over for a private lunch. See to it that tea is prepared, and a small lunch is presented." I then walk out of the room as Shiori and Raynare go back to training, while Kala goes to prepare lunch.
Mittelt accompanies me to my room and stands outside the closed door. Taking the flyer that was still on the desk in my hands, I infused it with magic power then through it towards the ground in front of the desk.
When the red circle appeared I sat at my desk waiting for whoever was to come.
