Ye Liangcheng is drinking again.

This is his temporary office, very spacious, occupying an entire floor. There is a large suite that is renovated with water, electricity, and the internet connected.

He has raised five wolfdogs, named Old Two, Old Three, Old Four, Old Five, and Old Six. As for Old One... that's obviously himself.

These five wolfdogs are the patrol security guards he employed for the entrepreneurial park, with formal employment certificates stamped by him, earning monthly salaries, collected by him, the Old One.

To others, this behavior might seem absurd, but life needs a bit of ceremony.

The office building he is in is naturally an unfinished building, and the entire CBD business center around is a failed project.

Why he is guarding here alone with only five dogs, the story needs to start from over a decade ago.

Not far from here, there's a hill. In the old society, it was a burial ground and a wood-gathering hill in the far north outskirts of Nanhua City. The hill had been stripped bare by villagers collecting wood, leaving only some weeds and shrubs.

The hill was historically nameless and later named Chaotic Flower Mountain, allegedly inspired by the poetic line "chaotic flowers gradually enchant the eyes."

Starting a few decades ago, Chaotic Flower Mountain was no longer a burial ground and began reforestation. Many trees planted back then have now grown tall, mainly due to the area's warm climate and plentiful rainfall.

About a decade ago, Chaotic Flower Mountain was transformed into a forest park with trails and recreational facilities built. The investor was a large real estate group from Nanhua, ranking among the top nationally in asset scale.

The large area of land near Chaotic Flower Mountain Forest Park was also acquired by the real estate group, developing the real estate project "Brocade Celestial Permanence," coinciding with another wave of national real estate boom.

The speed of developing the Brocade Celestial Permanence residential project was fast, divided into five phases. This rolling development approach was mainly to improve capital efficiency, and all five phases were completed and delivered.

Actually, on the eve of the fifth phase residential delivery, the developer's funding chain had already encountered significant problems. Luckily, the project was nearing completion, and the delivery was eventually completed.

According to the developer's initial plan, besides a large residential area, there would also be consumption and recreational areas, including a supporting CBD business center to attract enterprises.

This CBD business center was named Jinxiu Entrepreneurship Park.

Eventually, the Brocade Celestial Permanence project would integrate living, employment, consumption, and entertainment, and be developed into a satellite city in the far outskirts of Nanhua City.

If everything had gone smoothly, this project might have succeeded. But it required several prerequisites—a large investment, continuous population growth, stable economic growth, and industry environment.

Unfortunately, a few years later, both the industry's macro environment and the developer's micro environment deteriorated. When the construction of Jinxiu Entrepreneurship Park was near completion, it was suddenly abandoned.

Actually, considering Brocade Celestial Permanence as an independent project, all five residential phases were completed and delivered. The returns should have completed the CBD center, but the funds were diverted to other projects elsewhere to patch holes.

Moreover, even if the CBD project was completed, it couldn't attract startups and merchants to settle as originally planned, leading to more losses with additional investment.

Ye Liangcheng has been using this temporary office for five years. Back then, his father led the family's engineering team to settle at the construction site, using a supporting service building as a temporary office... eventually, the project failed.

Ye Liangcheng took over his father's company during this period. His family's business is in engineering decoration, not ordinary interior design, but strong and weak electric projects.

The project reaching this stage indicates the building's main structure was completed.
