Chapter 755: Your Highness the Princess! _1
The next day.
The sun was already high, yet Yin Tian remained within his room, practicing his Breathing Skill.
He had no idea how much time had passed when someone knocked on his door.
Yin Tian slowly opened his eyes, "Come in."
The person who walked in after pushing the door open was Xia Nianbing.
A smile graced her face as she said to Yin Tian, "Yin Tian, someone is looking for you outside."
"Someone looking for me? Who is it?"
Yin Tian was startled and asked with confusion.
Xia Nianbing replied, "That person said they had an arrangement with you from yesterday."
Yin Tian then came to a realization.
It was the King's guard!
If it weren't for their visit, he would have forgotten that he was supposed to meet the King in the Imperial City today.
"Okay, tell them I'll be right there."
Yin Tian spoke.
"Alright."
Xia Nianbing agreed and left the room.
Yin Tian, taking his time, got out of bed, quickly washed up, and then headed to the front courtyard.
In the courtyard, a man was standing there—it was none other than Honglong, the King's guard.
"Young man, you're rather slow," said Honglong, looking at Yin Tian helplessly.
The two had agreed to depart at nine o'clock that morning, and he had been waiting at the door since eight thirty, but when nine o'clock came and went without any sign of Yin Tian, he felt compelled to knock on the door.
Embarrassed, Yin Tian flashed Honglong a sheepish smile, "I'm sorry, I forgot."
Honglong: "..."
Such an important matter, and it slipped your mind?
At this point, Honglong didn't even know what to say.
If it had been anyone else, they would have galloped non-stop to the summon, or at the very least, hurried over.
But not Yin Tian. Not only did he delay the day, but he also completely forgot about the meeting!
Does this guy have no sense of reverence for the King?
"Let's go, the King has been waiting for a long time to see you," Honglong said helplessly.
Yin Tian nodded in agreement and followed Honglong into a carriage.
Over half an hour later, the carriage passed the tightly shut gate and arrived at the Imperial City once more.
The carriage continued forth.
When passing the Qu Family's residence, Yin Tian noticed Qu Shuli standing at the door, sneering at him.
Seeing Yin Tian looking over, Qu Shuli even lifted his hand and gestured across his neck.
"Heh..."
Yin Tian let out a light chuckle and turned his gaze away.
"Young brother, do you truly have such deep enmity with the Qu Family?" Honglong inquired, looking at Yin Tian.
"What do you think?"
Yin Tian gave Honglong a sly smile, "You're not going to tell me Qu Datong didn't go to the King to complain about me."
Honglong slowly nodded his head but said no more.
Ultimately, the carriage stopped before a vermillion gate.
"Young man, this is it. Vehicles are forbidden inside the palace, so let's proceed on foot from here," Honglong said softly.
Yin Tian had no objections and continued following Honglong into the palace.
All the way there, Yin Tian felt numerous eyes stealthily watching him.
Apart from the masters, Yin Tian could also feel a piercing sensation on several vital spots on his body.
It was a preemptive perception of potential danger his body was sensing.
He knew that right now, more than one gun was aimed at him.
Soon, servants from within the palace came up with various devices, scanning Yin Tian's body.
Being his first visit to the palace, the palace took this matter very seriously, fearing that Yin Tian might be an assassin who meant harm to the King.
Yin Tian cooperated fully, allowing the servants to examine him.
Before long, someone pointed at Yin Tian's pocket, "What's in there?"
Yin Tian took out the needle pack, "A needle pack, it contains needles for acupuncture."
The servants took the needle pack, checked it carefully, and then held it, "Please enter, sir. However, we will need to hold on to this needle pack for you."
Yin Tian didn't say much and followed Honglong further inside.
The servants trailed behind them leisurely.
After passing several palaces, they finally arrived at a place that appeared to be sleeping quarters.
Turning around, Honglong addressed Yin Tian, "Please wait here, young man. I need to go ahead and report to the King."
"Go ahead."
Yin Tian waved his hand casually, standing there and surveying his surroundings.
The servants behind him were in a state of nervous apprehension.
This guy was just too impolite.
Who comes to the palace and looks around so casually?
Just then, the sound of conversation came from afar.
"Sister Ting, will the person you mentioned really come to the palace today?"
The voice was crisp and slightly petulant.
"Of course."
Another female voice echoed, "He should be arriving soon, if he isn't here already."
"Hmph! Don't worry, Sister Ting, I will certainly take the chance to teach him a harsh lesson!"
The first voice spoke up again, brimming with confidence.
Soon, two girls were already walking over from a distance.
The servants behind Yin Tian immediately knelt on the ground.
"Greetings to the princess."
