Chapter 57 What did you two do?_1
Having given Lord Long a crucial lead, Su Changhe spoke briefly with Yin Tian before departing.
Once alone in the private room, Yin Tian decided not to linger and stood up to leave.
After exiting the restaurant, Yin Tian hailed a cab, intending to head back to the Su Family home.
Just then, his phone suddenly rang.
Yin Tian took out his phone only to find that it was a call from Xia Nianbing.
"Hello, Yin Tian, I've heard about the situation with the Shang Family and the Xia Family. The Su Family hasn't made things difficult for you, have they?"
Xia Nianbing's voice came through, laden with worry.
"They just wanted me to apologize, nothing serious."
"Apologize?"
Xia Nianbing exclaimed in shock.
Having spent some time with Yin Tian, she knew well that despite his seemingly easy-going demeanor, he was in fact extremely proud.
To make Yin Tian apologize was probably harder than killing him!
"Don't worry...what the Shang Family and the Wu Family can offer, my Xia Family can too. What those two cannot provide, my Xia Family will give!"
Xia Nianbing spoke without hesitation, "Yin Tian, don't subject yourself to this kind of indignity over such matters."
Yin Tian chuckled lightly, "Relax, everything has already been resolved."
"Resolved? How did you manage that?"
"Got Lord Long to step in, they apologized to him, and it was settled."
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the line, but Yin Tian could clearly hear suppressed laughter.
After a while, Xia Nianbing finally sighed out loud, "Well, you sure have a way. Weren't you supposed to apologize? How did it turn into them apologizing to you?"
"Well, if they did wrong, they had to apologize, right?"
Yin Tian answered casually.
"So, where are you off to now?"
"Heading back to the Su Family."
"After the way the Su Family treated you, you're still going back?"
"What else can I do?"
Yin Tian shook his head helplessly, "In the end, this whole situation was because of me, and the old man at the Su Family has been quite good to me. I can't just walk away."
"Alright then."
Xia Nianbing finally conceded, "If anything comes up, just tell me."
"If the Su Family doesn't want you...my Xia Family does."
Having said her last words, Xia Nianbing hung up the call.
Yin Tian, holding the phone and feeling a bit stunned, soon let out a light laugh and put away his phone.
Before long, the taxi took Yin Tian back to the Su Family home.
Upon returning to the Su Family, Yin Tian saw that the previous despondency had been replaced with mirth and celebration, as if it were a festival.
"You're back?"
Upon seeing Yin Tian, Su Changhe's expression stiffened, but his eyes revealed joy, "You did well this time, although it was supposed to be a simple apology, you had to complicate matters."
"This time, in light of your timely realization, I'll forgive you."
"But remember, Yin Tian, if there's a next time, I definitely won't let you off easily!"
Yin Tian paid no mind to Su Changhe's threat.
He just pursed his lips and headed upstairs.
"You!"
Su Changhe watched Yin Tian go, his anger apparent.
"Let it go, big brother, he was forced to apologize and is probably not in the best mood, don't stoop to his level," Su Changlin said with a smile, stopping Su Changhe.
"Hmph!"
With a huff, Su Changhe finally fell silent.
Yin Tian returned to Su Qinwei's room to find her sitting on the bed, lost in thought.
Seeing Yin Tian return, she instinctively stood up from the bed, her eyes nervous.
She was also aware that the Shang Family and Wu Family had reconciled with the Su Family.
Moreover, she knew that all of this was because Yin Tian had abandoned his pride.
It was for this reason that she felt all the more apologetic towards Yin Tian.
"Yin Tian… I'm truly sorry… I have no say at home and couldn't help you…"
Yin Tian waved his hand dismissively, "It's fine, I can handle this kind of thing."
After a deep look at Yin Tian, Su Qinwei parted her lips but seemed unsure of what to say.
"Did it hurt today?"
Yin Tian asked, inquiring about Su Qinwei's condition.
Her cheeks reddened slightly, and she shook her head gently.
"It seems to be starting to take effect."
Yin Tian said, turning his gaze to Su Qinwei, "When it comes to treatment, it's crucial not to give up halfway, otherwise all the previous efforts will be wasted."
Su Qinwei's cheeks turned even rosier, and with her head lowered, she made an almost imperceptible hum of agreement.
"So, you understand what I mean?"
"Hmm..."
With another hum, Su Qinwei finally mustered the courage to look up at Yin Tian, but then she closed her eyes.
Yin Tian chuckled softly, stood up, and walked over to Su Qinwei...
Ten minutes later.
Yin Tian withdrew his hand, comporting himself as a gentleman.
Su Qinwei, on the other hand, was flushed and panting, her eyes brimming with what could drown a person in their depths.
"Qinwei."
From outside the room came the voice of Su Qinxue.
Before Su Qinwei could respond, Su Qinxue had already pushed open the door and entered.
She then saw Su Qinwei and Yin Tian sitting side by side.
Su Qinwei's clothes were disheveled and her face blushed.
Su Qinxue's expression froze.
"What...what have you two been up to?"
