Chapter 29 I'm Doing This for Your Own Good!_1
Everyone followed the direction Yin Tian was pointing.
The mahogany dressing table rested there quietly.
The dressing table had an antique charm, giving off a sense of history, and the copper mirror on it seemed inherently eerie.
Through the mirror, every reflected shadow appeared slightly distorted.
After hearing Yin Tian's words, the Su Family just glanced at the dressing table but didn't engage with Yin Tian. Even Su Changhe rolled his eyes at him.
Su Qinwei blinked and, seeing that no one responded to Yin Tian, moved closer with a sympathetic heart, tilting her head as she spoke,
"Are you talking about that dressing table? Dad bought it today while out shopping on Antique Street."
"This item… it's ominous…"
Yin Tian spoke softly, frowning deeply.
At these words, Su Changhe's expression immediately darkened.
"Yin Tian! What do you mean by that?"
Su Changhe abruptly stood up from the sofa, his face not looking very good as he stared at Yin Tian, "Do you know how much money I spent on this item? And you dare say it's a fake?"
Yin Tian blinked, then realized that Su Changhe had misunderstood his words, taking what he said about it being ominous as saying the dressing table was a counterfeit.
"This whole piece is polished from a single tree trunk and assembled using a special mortise and tenon joint technique; it must be no less than three hundred years old,"
Yin Tian stood there and slowly continued, "Such an item, not to mention now, even back in the day, probably could only be used by someone of at least the Prince's level in their residence."
Su Changhe was taken aback, then a look of pride crept over his face.
He had to admit, the young man Yin Tian had a discerning eye; what he said largely agreed with his own conclusion.
"However, it is very unfortunate that this thing is indeed ominous, causing trouble for its owner when kept at home."
Yin Tian shook his head, his face showing regret.
Cause trouble for its owner?
The smile on Su Changhe's face had just appeared when it immediately froze.
Can't this kid speak nicely?
Can't he say something pleasant?
Clenching his teeth, Su Changhe managed to hold back his anger and simply glared at Yin Tian, "You don't know shit!"
Yin Tian didn't speak, merely shrugged at Qinwei beside him and then headed upstairs.
"Yin Tian…"
Qinwei called out Yin Tian's name and quickly followed him.
Once back in Qinwei's room, Yin Tian did not close the door.
Soon, Qinwei entered as well, her eyes filled with curiosity. She approached Yin Tian closely.
"What you said just now, is it true?"
Qinwei looked at Yin Tian very seriously, "That item, can it… cause trouble for its owner?"
"If I'm not mistaken, that thing is definitely not benign. Although it's very expensive, it must have been stained with the scent of blood by one of its previous owners,"
Yin Tian explained, "That's why there would be trouble for its owner with that dressing table."
"Ah?"
The girl was obviously filled with fear regarding such matters, "Then what should be done?"
"Telling your dad to just throw that thing away is obviously not a good solution. Let them suffer a bit and they'll understand what it's all about,"
Yin Tian spoke casually, then looked at Qinwei with a warning, "In the next few days, your dad will surely face all sorts of bad luck, maybe even have trouble sleeping."
"Why?"
"The murderous aura is too dense on it; probably someone died upon it. Bringing that thing into the house is causing unrest and nightmares."
To help Qinwei understand, Yin Tian did not use obscure and esoteric poetry to explain.
"Really that terrifying?" Qinwei stuck out her tongue slightly, looking at Yin Tian with skepticism.
Is this guy just trying to scare me…
Naturally, Yin Tian was not aware of Qinwei's thoughts, but instead he asked, "Today, did your old ailment act up?"
Qinwei's delicate face suddenly flushed red.
She lowered her head and answered in a tiny voice, "No…"
"Come on, then, strike while the iron is hot and get treated immediately!"
Yin Tian put on a selfless guise and began treating Qinwei's illness...
After about fifteen minutes.
Qinwei's eyelashes fluttered.
Her clothes were disheveled, her eyes brimming with moisture, making her look more alluring.
Especially her flushed face, like a ripened apple, her skin fair with a rosy glow, was truly tempting enough to take a bite and taste.
Yin Tian withdrew his hand with satisfaction.
Seeing Yin Tian's expression, Qinwei quickly tightened her clothes over her body, then puffed up her cheeks as she looked at him.
"You this time…!"
Yin Tian with an air of righteousness said, "I'm doing this for your own good!"
