HI3: I Don't Want to Be a Valkyrie

Chapter 75: Chapter 22: Nuclear Theresa

Despite the chaos, the Ogre Tribe had composed themselves by now, grasping the general situation. Though they were puzzled as to why an unfamiliar yet powerful young girl and a black dragon would aid them, there was no time for questions. The surviving demonic creatures of the Ogre Tribe immediately joined the fray, launching a fierce assault on the pig-headed minions.

The Ogres seethed with anger; these pig-headed invaders dared to offend them, even destroying their village and causing significant casualties. Led by the crown prince, princess, and other prominent figures, the Ogres began methodically slaughtering their enemies.

"Ha ha, not bad at all. Let me give you one more boost," Theresa observed the Ogres joining the battle. Concerned that some might accidentally fall in combat, she prepared to cast a beneficial enchantment upon them.

[Mark of Cain]

With a wave of her hand, Theresa invoked a terrifying figure above both herself and every member of the Ogre Tribe. This spectral form merged directly onto each individual.

Mark of Cain - Status Skill... Can be applied to all allies, enhancing their physical and elemental attack capabilities while temporarily granting them lifesteal attributes. Allows users to heal themselves by dealing damage to their foes.

"My Ogre friends, let loose in this fight!"

Hefting the colossal Axe of the Fallen, Theresa unleashed a torrent of destructive force alongside them.

"Despicable insects! I'll crush you all!"

With each swing of her enormous axe, the ground trembled as if struck by some colossal force. Theresa was nothing short of a giant beast clothed in the form of a young girl—a truly terrifying sight no one could hope to withstand, let alone oppose.

A single casual blow from her axe could send enemies flying hundreds or even thousands of meters away.

Even the black dragon hovering nearby, witnessing its master at work, couldn't help but feel apprehensive. What right do I have to call myself a dragon? it thought. Before this small mistress, it felt like nothing more than a tiny lizard.

However, there were simply too many pig-headed humanoid creatures swarming about. And alas, Theresa possessed few area-of-effect abilities...

Seeing that these monstrous beings still outnumbered her significantly, Theresa resolved not to hold back any longer.

Her wings unfurled behind her as she leaped into the air, soaring high above the battlefield.

"Unholy Relic," someone murmured.

"It seems Miss Theresa is getting quite excited now~"

Ultimate Skill: Feast for the Dead!

Theresa raised the Axe of the Fallen aloft, drawing upon nearly half of the blood seal energy within her body. The sky instantly darkened, turning crimson across its expanse.

The Axe of the Fallen slipped from her grasp and plummeted down, striking the very heart of the pig-headed army below.

In an instant...

A flash of blood-red light...

Followed by a deafening boom as a massive mushroom cloud billowed skyward. Silence descended over the world once more.

It had been annihilated—leveled to dust in an instant.

After an indeterminate span of time, the mushroom cloud finally dissipated...

What now stood before Theresa, the Ogre Tribe, and fewer than a hundred remaining pigmen was...

A colossal crater, hundreds of meters wide—a bottomless abyss that stretched into darkness.

"Seems like... I went overboard this time..." Theresa mused, staring at the immense pit before her with equal parts shock and awe.

Could Luna Kindred's Ultimate Move truly be this powerful? Yet upon reflection, she realized that compared to when she had first became Luna, the energy within her Blood Seal was now hundreds of times greater. In that context, such destruction seemed not extraordinary but rather... entirely normal.

-

"Master, you..." The black dragon flew before Theresa, words catching in his throat as he gazed at her.

"Master, you..." The black dragon flew before Luna Kindred, words catching in his throat as he gazed at her.

"What is it?" Theresa asked, those beautiful red eyes fixed on the colossal creature before her.

"I... I was just about to leave," stammered the black dragon.

"Well then, since everything has been taken care of, please see yourself out."

"Yes, Master." With that, the black dragon swiftly turned and departed, bearing a hint of fear in his demeanor.

As she watched him go, Theresa shifted her gaze towards the Ogre Tribe members standing nearby—still frozen in shock, their eyes wide with awe as they stared at her.

"It's not time for staring contests now, is it?" Her melodious voice cut through the air. At this prompt, the ogres snapped back to reality and hastily set about mopping up any remaining stragglers.

After ensuring all loose ends were tied up, Theresa realized neither the masked demon nor Orc King could be found. Orc King likely wasn't here to begin with, she thought, but I wonder if the masked demon managed to escape.

The number of orcs seems unusually low too, she pondered further. Perhaps they split up? But even in the original work, they never separated like this...

"Many thanks to this Lady for their timely assistance," said the young master of the Ogre Tribe as he approached with the princess and an elder. "Without your help, our great tribe would have faced certain doom."

However, as they gazed upon the girl before them, it was impossible for the Ogres to reconcile her appearance with that of the violently powerful figure who had just saved them.

The girl standing there appeared roughly the same age as the Ogre princess. With long silken hair the color of snow and legs clad in black stockings, she wore attire both peculiar and irresistibly alluring—a striking contrast to her current state. Black lace gloves complemented her ensemble perfectly.

She looked every bit like a enchanting Dark Night Princess—one whose beauty and charm were unparalleled.

This delicate maiden seemed utterly unsuited for battle, let alone wielding such a massive axe against enemies. Yet, there was something undeniably endearing about this stark juxtaposition.

"It's no trouble at all," Theresa waved off their gratitude nonchalantly. "The Orc King emerged, possessing the unique ability [Starved]. If left unchecked, it could've spelled disaster for you all."

Indeed, the combination of the Orc King leading dozens of other orcs was akin to a swarm of locusts. The Starved ability allowed shared insatiable hunger among all its subordinates; regardless of how much they consumed, they remained perpetually famished—an unstoppable force of nature driven by relentless appetite.

They would devour relentlessly, like swarming locusts—obliterating everything in their path until not a blade of grass remained. Their primary diet consisted mainly of flesh.

The more they ate, the stronger they became; likewise, their leader, the Orc Diaster, grew increasingly powerful with each meal.

This mechanism bore some resemblance to how Luna Kindred's familiars nourished her through blood consumption when she was present—and now, similarly for Theresa and her own vampire familiars.

Upon receiving this news, the Ogre Tribe was utterly astounded. "What?! The Orc Diaster? The legendary Orc Diaster has emerged among the Orc Tribe?"

"The orcs we encountered today were merely a small fraction," Theresa warned gravely. " Conservatively estimated, the Orc Diaster likely commands an army exceeding 150,000 orc warriors. We must prepare swiftly..."

Despite these dire words, Theresa remained completely unfazed, showing no concern whatsoever for the Orc Diaster.

It's just a slightly more potent version of those orcs, she thought dismissively. Her true focus lay on the approaching Dragon Demon—a being who stood as one of the most ancient Demon Lords... Milim Nava, known by the title "Destroyer." Her arrival loomed near, promising chaos and devastation in her wake.

Having claimed her bounty mission reward, Theresa gained another thirty crystals and a fragment piece, leaving her in high spirits.

As she gazed upon the surviving members of the Ogre Tribe before her, it suddenly dawned on her... By intervening like this, wouldn't these ogres be unable to become Rimuru's subordinates anymore?
