Hero Hack: Reversing Heroes and Raising Harem

Chapter 368: Screams in the Devil Nest

On the other side of the battlefield, Savra faced the Hero and the Cultivator elites.

The Hero slammed his shield into the ground, golden light erupting around them. "[Aegis Bastion]!"

A towering golden fortress rose up, covering both the Hero and the Cultivator, along with Savra, inside its walls.

The glow strengthened their bodies, restoring wounds while pressing down on Savra with crushing weight.

The Hero smirked. "Inside my domain, we recover faster and defend harder. You can't win here."

The Cultivator clasped his hands together, qi swirling beneath his feet. "[Iron Body Array]!"

A pattern spread under him, glowing with power.

His body hardened like iron, and the Hero's armor glowed brighter as the array strengthened them both.

Together, they now stood like an unbreakable wall.

Savra tilted her head and smiled, her crimson hair swaying as flames danced along her arms.

"So defensive, the both of you. Building walls against me? Do you really think that will save you from fire?"

The Hero tightened his grip on his sword. "You are not just a woman. You're a threat. We won't go easy on you."

Savra's smile faded a little, her eyes narrowing. "I see. If that's the case, then I'll stop playing around."

She spread her arms wide, fire bursting outward in all directions. "[Infernal Demon Zone]!"

A domain of searing flame engulfed the fortress.

Instantly, the Hero and the Cultivator felt their bodies heat up, sweat pouring down their skin.

Their armor and flesh grew hotter and hotter until faint flames began to rise from their bodies.

The Hero cursed under his breath. "Damn it… this heat is burning us alive."

The Cultivator's expression hardened. "Then we finish this quickly. Don't hold back!"

He charged forward, qi exploding around his fist. "[Mountain Splitter Fist]!"

The ground cracked beneath his step as he aimed a devastating blow at Savra.

But Savra only stepped back with a smirk.

Flames coiled around her arms, shaping into guns of burning ether. "Too slow."

She raised both hands and fired.

A barrage of blazing bullets shot out, colliding with the Cultivator's fist.

The impact forced him back, his face twisting in shock. "Ugh—this power…"

Savra's smirk deepened, her crimson eyes glowing with heat. "Didn't you notice? You're already marked."

The Hero and Cultivator looked down, eyes widening.

Faint crimson sigils burned across their armor and flesh, Infernal Marks.

Savra lifted one hand, flames twisting into a sharper glow. "My flames are not ordinary fire."

"This is [Infernal Demon Ether]. It burns not only your body… but your soul as well."

The two elites exchanged grim looks.

Their defense meant nothing if their very essence was being scorched away.

On the other side of the battlefield, Velra smirked as her whip cracked across the Beastman's chest again.

Each strike left burning violet marks, and yet the Beastman still could not touch her.

The Beastman growled, frustration in his eyes. "Why… why are you this fast?!"

He glanced at the Mage, then back at Velra. "We're inside her [Runic Gridlock]."

"You should be slower! For god's sake, how are you not slowed?!"

He bared his fangs, his claws glowing faintly. "And I already activated my [Blood Hunt Zone]."

"My speed and strength should have doubled! But… it only grows when the enemy feels fear or pain."

His expression twisted. Velra wasn't afraid. She wasn't weakened. She was enjoying it.

Still, he clenched his teeth. "Even if that fails… I have my [Beast Rage Hide]."

"The more I'm injured, the stronger I become. So how... How can you still avoid me?!"

Unbeknownst to him, every scream he made, every spike of pain he felt, only fed into Velra's domain.

The more he struggled, the stronger she became.

Velra's smirk deepened as she spun her whip in wide arcs, her illusions flickering around her body.

"Your roars… your screams… they sound so sweet. Do you really think you can catch me like this?"

The Beastman snarled and charged."Damn you! Don't run!"

Velra's eyes glowed faintly pink as she twisted aside, her whip wrapping around his arm and releasing.

"How can I not run when you chase me like a wild dog?"

She tilted her head with mock pity. "Besides, your pain makes me stronger."

The Beastman roared in frustration, turning sharply toward the Mage.

"Damn it! Can you help me already?! Slow her down, or attack her!"

The Mage's grip tightened on her staff, sweat dripping down her face.

She nodded quickly and raised her hand."[Arcane Support Grid]!"

Runes swirled around the Beastman, boosting his speed while sending suppressing chains toward Velra.

Velra chuckled, sliding between the glowing chains with ease.

"Oh, so you decided to join in? Good. I was just about to come for you anyway."

In a blur, she dashed forward, appearing beside the Beastman before he could react.

The Beastman's eyes widened in surprise, but then he smirked. "Stupid woman. You came close! Now die—"

He swung his claw, but Velra's whip vanished from her hand.

Instead, violet ether poured from her body and wrapped around him like living chains.

"What—?!"

The ether condensed, forming into a massive iron maiden of barbed metal.

Its doors slammed shut around him with a crushing sound.

"Arghhhh!" the Beastman screamed, his voice breaking as the spikes pierced into his flesh from every angle.

His [Beast Rage Hide] hardened his body, but the pain was amplified beyond endurance by the [Velvet Demon Zone].

Velra leaned her head slightly, her rose-colored eyes watching him with delight.

"Your scream… ah, that's exactly what I wanted to hear."

She turned slowly toward the Mage, flames of violet ether still flickering around her.

Her playful smile turned sharp. "Now… it's your turn."

The Mage's eyes widened.

She stumbled back, her staff shaking in her grip, before she fell onto the ground.

"N-No… don't come closer!" Her voice cracked with fear.

"We—we acknowledge your strength! Please… we can bring you to the Supremes. We don't have to fight anymore!"

Velra tilted her head, her rose-colored eyes glowing faintly in the mist.

She let out a low laugh. "I see… so you finally admit it. But…"

She raised her hand, violet ether gathering into the shape of a barbed chain. "…I still want to play with you first."

The Mage's face twisted in panic.

She scrambled backward on her hands and knees, her staff clattering against the ground.

"No! No! Stay away from me!"

Velra's smirk only grew wider as she advanced step by step, her whip crackling to life once more.
