Hero Hack: Reversing Heroes and Raising Harem

Chapter 353: The Devil’s Last Roar

The Supreme Rank devil let out a deafening roar, its massive body trembling with fury.

The suppression from Zain's territory gnawed at its strength, forcing it to barely thirty percent of its true power.

But even that was enough to shake the ground beneath them.

With a snarl, its body swelled, muscles bulging as black-red ether burst from its skin like steam.

"You dare challenge me here?!" it bellowed, its voice like grinding stone.

It lunged forward, claws slicing through the air.

Velra was already moving.

She blurred sideways, her heels slamming into the devil's ribs in a spinning [Velvet Guillotine Kick].

The impact cracked the devil's bone and sent a shockwave rippling outward.

Zelia's blade flashed next, her form a calm blur as she stepped in.

[Sword Demon Sever], a single, precise cut.

She sliced along the devil's forearm, spraying corrosive blood across the dirt.

Savra raised a hand, crimson flames igniting in a circle beneath the devil's feet.

[Sacred Flame Rite] flared to life, locking the beast in a burning prison.

She followed up instantly with [Flame Invocation], sending a barrage of sacred fire spears into its chest.

The devil staggered, howling in rage, but its movements were slowing.

Velra swept low with a [Velvet Demon Sweep], toppling its massive legs, while Zelia's sword gleamed with lethal intent.

"Now!" Savra shouted, her flames surging higher.

Zelia moved first, her blade carving through the devil's throat in a clean arc.

Velra's heel came down like a hammer, [Velvet Execution Kick], crushing its skull as the sacred flames consumed its body.

The beast's final roar turned into a distorted gurgle before it collapsed, burning away into ash under Savra's fire.

Velra dusted her hands off, her heel still warm from the final strike. "Well… that was easier than I thought."

Savra smirked, flames fading from her fingertips. "Easier because it was crawling under Zain's power."

"Without that suppression, we'd still be dodging its claws."

Zelia slid her sword into its sheath with a quiet click. "It's dead. Let's bring the body back to him."

She glanced at the scorched remains, her expression thoughtful.

"Zain burned through a lot of ether earlier when he used that new ability. This thing's body might be useful to him."

Savra grinned. "Food for the Heavenly Demon, huh? Works for me."

Velra grabbed the creature's horn while Zelia lifted from the other side, Savra keeping the flames low to preserve the remains.

Together, they dragged the massive carcass back through the warped streets toward the mansion.

But when they stepped onto the grounds, all three stopped.

The ruins they'd left behind were gone.

In their place stood a massive, restored mansion.

Its wide frame was gleaming with dark wood and polished stone, adorned with banners bearing an unfamiliar yet menacing crest.

The gates were tall and reinforced, and the hall beyond was lit with flickering crimson lanterns.

Long corridors branched off into numerous rooms, and the air inside hummed faintly with Zain's oppressive ether.

Savra blinked. "Okay… this is new."

Velra raised an eyebrow. "We were gone for what, fifteen minutes?"

Zelia stepped forward, scanning the craftsmanship. "What happened here?"

A deep, familiar voice answered from inside.

"Just like I told you," Zain said, smirking, stepping into the doorway.

"This is my ability. Once I claim territory… I can build whatever I want inside it. A base, a fortress, a sect hall. It's all mine to shape."

He eyed the carcass the girls had brought, his crimson gaze glinting.

"And now…" he said, a slow grin tugging at his lips, "…you've brought me something good."

The three girls exchanged glances, smirking knowingly.

"Of course, Zain," Savra said, brushing a stray lock of crimson hair over her shoulder. "We knew you'd want this."

Without another word, they set to work.

The devil's body was dragged to the courtyard, its size forcing them to cut it apart into chunks.

The meat sizzled faintly, the lingering corrosive energy shattering the air.

They didn't bother seasoning or preparing it like normal food, as this wasn't for them.

Velra kicked away a stray chunk of charred bone. "No way I'm eating that. Supreme-rank devil meat would be too much for me."

Zelia nodded, her voice calm. "Even diluted, it's poisonous to us. But for him…"

She glanced toward Zain. "…it's fuel."

Zain stepped forward, the air tightening around him.

He didn't sit, didn't wait for some formal meal.

Instead, black-crimson ether coiled around his hands like hungry serpents.

He crouched by the largest slab of devil flesh and sank his fingers into it.

The meat didn't tear. It was dissolved, black steam curling upward as [Heavenly Demon God] activated.

Energy surged into him in raw, unfiltered waves.

His body drank it in greedily, his veins glowing faintly under his skin, eyes blazing brighter with each pulse.

The remains withered in seconds, leaving only brittle husks and scorched bone.

By the time he straightened, the courtyard was littered with dust where a Supreme-rank devil once lay.

Meanwhile, Zain's aura had grown heavier, pressing faintly against the courtyard walls.

"Not bad…" he murmured, lips curling into a faint smirk. "…not bad at all. That was a good meal."

His gaze shifted toward the three women, measuring them. "Now… It's time to change the three of you."

Zelia and Savra exchanged confused glances.

Savra tilted her head. "Change us? What do you mean, Zain? Aren't we already members of your Sect?"

Before Zain could answer, Velra stepped forward with a sly smile.

"You are members… but you're not truly connected yet. Being registered in the Heavenly Demon Sect just stops the territory from suppressing you."

"What Zain's talking about now…" She gestured toward herself. "…is different."

Zelia's eyes narrowed. "Different how?"

Velra's smirk widened. "He's going to rewrite your power. Link it directly to him. Make it stronger, deadlier… and his."

"That's what he did to me. You think my abilities have always been like this?"

She chuckled. "No. Zain reshaped them and made me what I am now."

Zelia and Savra's eyes widened slightly.

"So you can really… change our abilities?" Zelia asked.

"Of course I can," Zain replied simply, his tone absolute. "That's one of the privileges of my Sect."

Savra crossed her arms, smiling faintly. "I see… so that's what you mean by 'change.'"

Zain's gaze swept between them, his smirk returning. "So… what do you say, Savra? Big sister?"
