Chapter 350: Only One Heavenly Demon
The astral Heavenly Demon laughed when the explosion faded, his voice echoing like a curse across the ruined hall.
"Hah! You see that, boy? Most of that blast bent right back toward you."
"You felt it, didn't you? That means I'm stronger. I always was, and I always will be!"
His smirk widened into something cruel. "You're nothing but a cheap imitation wearing my title. A mangy mutt pretending to be the king of wolves."
But then, from behind him, came a low chuckle.
Zain's voice was calm, but his smile was sharp. "Yeah, you hit harder, old man. I'll give you that… but only because I was holding back."
The old man's laugh turned mocking and venomous. "Hah! Pathetic excuse."
"You say that just to hide your weakness. What now? Thinking of backstabbing me like a rat in the shadows?"
"You can't even scratch my astral body. What the hell makes you think you can kill me?"
Zain stepped in close, his hand landing firmly on the old man's back.
"Old man… you're right. Your astral body's tough. But it's still just a soul, not a real body. You're not even alive."
The old man barked out a harsh laugh. "So what? Alive, dead... It doesn't matter. I'll be wearing your body soon enough, brat."
Zain smirked. "Not for you but for me, it matters a lot. Because the fact you're not alive… means I can use you."
The old man's eyes narrowed. "Use me? What the hell are you—"
"Rejoice," Zain said, voice low and dripping with malice.
"You're the first bastard I'll absorb while you're still kicking and screaming."
He didn't even look away from the old man as he barked the order in his mind.
'System, absorb this arrogant piece of shit.'

The old man's smirk faltered. His eyes narrowed, his jaw twitching. "What… the fuck is this…?"
Zain grinned, the expression sharp enough to cut.
"That's the sound of you being ripped apart from the inside, you wrinkled sack of shit."
The old man's body began to distort, black-crimson wisps peeling off him like smoke being sucked into a void.
His hands clenched, his teeth bared. "No… no! The fuck you think you're doing to me, brat?!"
Zain stepped closer, the pull between them growing vicious. "I'm doing you a favour, old man."
"You've been squatting in my body, waving my title, thinking you're hot shit."
"Now I'm repossessing what's mine and draining every last drop of you while I'm at it."
"Bastard!" the old man roared, struggling to pull back, his astral form trembling violently.
"I'll tear you apart! I'll rip your soul out and piss on it!"
Zain's laughter was sharp, almost cruel. "Try it. Oh, wait... You can't. You're already halfway gone."
The suction grew stronger, dragging the old man forward inch by inch, his curses breaking into desperate snarls.
"No! Fuck you! I am the Heavenly Demon! I don't get eaten by some cocky little shit with a lucky break!"
"You were the Heavenly Demon," Zain corrected coldly. "Now? You're just fuel."
The old man screamed, his form breaking apart into shards of black light, each one ripped and screaming into Zain's chest.
His voice cracked, rage turning into panic. "No! No! No—!"
Zain's grip tightened like a vice. "Die mad, old man."
With a final wrench, the astral body collapsed entirely, devoured by the pull, leaving only silence.
Then the familiar translucent panel flickered into view before Zain's eyes.

[Status: Target fully absorbed– Hack Points increased]

Zain's lips curled into a slow, satisfied smirk. "Mmm… delicious."
"Not quite the burn I had planned for my old body, but… turning that useless pile of bones into pure Hack Points? I'll take it."
The system window vanished, and he exhaled like he'd just finished a good meal.
The energy still churned in his veins, sharp and intoxicating.
Velra stepped forward, her eyes scanning his face. "What happened, Zain?"
Zain turned his gaze toward her, the smirk never fading. "Simple. The fight's over. The old man's gone."
Savra tilted her head. "Gone… as in?"
Zain chuckled, tapping his chest once. "As in devoured. Every scrap of him is mine now. No more pretenders, no more stolen names."
Zelia gave a faint nod, her expression unreadable. "Then it's settled."
Zain's crimson eyes burned brighter. "Exactly. From now on… I'm the only Heavenly Demon in this world."
The three women broke into smiles in their own way.
Velra crossed her arms, grinning. "Finally… the official one."
Savra stepped closer, her voice teasing but warm. "Congratulations, Zain. No more sharing titles."
Zelia gave a simple nod, her tone calm. "Then it's settled. The imposter is gone."
Zain let their words wash over him, his smirk widening just a fraction.
Velra tilted her head. "So… what now, Zain? Is this mansion going to be our base?"
Zain's gaze swept across the ruined hall, the shattered pillars, the faded banners still clinging stubbornly to the walls.
"Of course," he said without hesitation. "This was my mansion before, and it'll continue to be mine. From here… the Heavenly Demon Sect will rise again."
Savra glanced around with a raised brow. "It's got the atmosphere, I'll give it that… but it's looking pretty run-down."
Zelia's eyes moved over the cracked floors and moss-covered walls. "It will need work."
Zain only smiled, stepping forward to rest his hand on one of the massive wooden pillars.
"Don't worry about that. It may look old and broken now… but I'll restore it. And when I'm done, it'll be stronger than it ever was."
His voice dropped lower, almost like a promise to himself. "This place will be feared again."
The girls exchanged glances, then nodded in unison.
"We'll help you," Zelia said firmly, Savra and Velra echoing her resolve.
Zain's smirk widened, his eyes gleaming. "Help? You don't need to lift a finger. Just watch."
He straightened, brushing dust from his coat as if claiming the mansion already.
