Hero Hack: Reversing Heroes and Raising Harem

Chapter 344: Breaking the Wall

Zain and the three girls had already left the cultivator group far behind.

The mist of the inner zone swirled around them, thick and red, but no longer a threat.

Zain's ether barrier remained active, protecting Savra and Zelia from the corrosion.

Velra walked beside him, still unaffected thanks to her body already adapted to his power.

They moved quietly for a while, their footsteps light against the rough, cracked earth.

Strange howls echoed faintly in the distance, but nothing dared approach them now.

After some time, Zain stopped walking and turned around to face the girls.

"It's time," he said firmly. "We're heading to the core area."

The girls looked at him with a focus in their eyes now.

No more jokes or teasing.

Velra tilted her head slightly. "So soon?"

Zain gave a small smile. "Yeah. I've seen everything I needed to see."

He raised a hand and began counting on his fingers.

"First, the devils. From Fake Royal Rank to Supreme Rank, they're all here. I've already fought and watched them."

"Their strength… their mutations… their behavior. I understand it now."

"Second," he said, holding up another finger, "the cultivators. I didn't expect them to exist here. But they do."

"And they've managed to use ether to cultivate, just like how qi was used in my past life."

Zain lowered his hand and looked toward the horizon, where the sky darkened even more near the core zone.

"My curiosity is satisfied," he continued. "I've seen the forces, the dangers, and the secrets of this place."

He looked back at the girls.

"Now it's time to do what I came here for."

Savra raised an eyebrow. "Which is?"

Zain's smile grew colder, more serious.

"To see if the Devil Nest's core area is the perfect place to build the new Heavenly Demon Sect."

Velra grinned. "Now that sounds more like you."

Zelia nodded silently, already preparing herself.

Savra stretched her arms, and flames flickered at her fingertips. "Well then, let's go claim our territory."

Zain turned and began walking again.

The path ahead was darker. More dangerous. But none of them hesitated.

---

They moved quickly across the twisted land, heading toward the giant wall that separated the Inner Zone from the Core Area of the Devil Nest.

The mist here was darker. Thicker. The pressure in the air felt heavier with each step.

Then they reached it.

A massive black wall stood in their way.

It stretched high into the red sky, with strange dark patterns carved across its surface.

The material didn't look like stone or metal. It felt alive, almost pulsing with faint red light.

Zain stepped forward and looked up at it.

"So this is the wall keeping the Supreme Rank devils inside…"

He slowly clenched his fist and began gathering his energy.

Dark ether swirled around his hand, merging with the mist in the air.

Then, using [Heavenly Demon Ether], he shaped a glowing black gauntlet around his arm.

Zain smirked. "Let's test it."

He took a breath, stepped forward, and slammed his fist into the wall.

BOOM!

The wall cracked slightly, the impact sending dust and a wave of force outward.

But the damage was shallow.

Zain looked at it and smiled.

"Hah… stronger than I thought."

Zelia walked beside him, her arms crossed.

"Of course it is. This wall was made to hold back Supreme Rank devils."

"Even someone like you might need more than one punch to break through."

Zain nodded, amused. "You're right, big sister. I was going easy."

He stepped back, shaking off the mist that clung to his coat.

"This time I'll get serious. Velra. Savra. Big Sister. Step back."

The girls nodded and moved behind him, giving him space.

Zain closed his eyes and pulled in more power.

He drew in the corrosive red mist around him and mixed it with his ether. It wrapped around his arm like a storm.

His gauntlet grew larger and more alive. This time it pulsed with both power and poison.

"Let's see you hold this."

Zain took a step forward.

He focused everything on one point.

Then—

[Heavenly Demon Strike]

He punched the wall with full force.

CRACK!

This time, the sound echoed far across the land.

A massive dent formed in the wall, and in the center, a hole was created.

Dust and mist rushed out from the crack, and Zain staggered slightly.

That punch had taken a chunk of his strength.

He clutched his arm and turned around quickly. "Take me inside. Now. That sound probably alerted someone!"

The girls didn't hesitate.

Velra rushed to his side, grabbing his shoulder.

Savra and Zelia stepped up and moved through the broken wall first.

"Come on," Zelia said. "We're going in."

Velra helped Zain forward, and they all slipped through the hole, disappearing into the thick mist of the Core Area.

Behind them, the loud crash from Zain's punch had drawn attention.

Several guards arrived at the scene, rushing over with weapons in hand.

Their faces showed confusion and alertness.

Not long after, two figures in powerful armor landed beside them.

These weren't ordinary guards. They were Supreme Rank officers.

One of the guards pointed toward the wall.

"Sir! Look at that. There's a hole!"

The first Supreme Rank officer narrowed his eyes and walked closer.

He examined the cracked surface carefully.

"This wall was built to withstand Supreme-level attacks," he muttered. "How did it break?"

The second Supreme frowned. "Was there a fight? Did a devil escape?"

A younger guard shook his head. "There were no alarms. No signs of impact from inside."

The first Supreme turned to him sharply. "Then someone broke through from this side?"

"It looks that way," another guard answered. "But how? Who has that kind of power?"

The second Supreme Rank officer looked serious. "Doesn't matter who. We need to fix this now."

He turned to another guard. "Contact the control office. Tell them to send an emergency repair team immediately."

"Yes, sir!"

The officer stared at the hole again and muttered, "It's small… for now. Luckily, it didn't collapse anymore."

"Let's guard this area until the team arrives," the other Supreme said.

"If something did break in or break out, we need to be ready."

The guards nodded and spread out.

None of them knew who had caused the damage.

And none of them expected that the one responsible… was already deep inside.
