Chapter 24: chapter twenty-four
Zamiel strode into the largest cloth in the area, his presence commanding attention. Every head turned, and eyes widened as people took in his chiseled features and imposing frame. The air was thick with whispers and gasps.
The head of staff hastened to approach him, a mixture of curiosity and wariness on her face. "Good day, sir. What kind of clothing would you like?"
"I want female clothings," Zamiel replied, his deep voice sending a shiver down the spines of the nearby customers.
The head of staff nodded, leading Zamiel to the relevant section. But instead of browsing through the racks, Zamiel simply swept his arm across the shelves, sending clothes tumbling to the floor. The head of staff watched in horror as Zamiel repeated the process, gathering up armfuls of clothes and dumping them unceremoniously on the floor.
The head of staff scrambled to catch the falling clothes, she wanted to make it known that throwing the cloths on the floor was not tolerated...but Zamiel's intimidating gaze silenced her.
Next, Zamiel stormed over to the shoe section, where he proceeded to grab dozens of pairs, tossing them carelessly onto the floor. The head of staff finally found her voice, calling out to his employees to come and assist with the chaos.
Once Zamiel had finished shopping, he dropped a wad of cash on the desk and turned to leave. As he exited the building, a bold lady approached him, her eyes shining with attraction.
"Sorry, I saw you when you entered, and I just had to...can I get your number?" she asked, holding out her phone.
Zamiel's response was brutal. He took the phone from her hand, smashed it to the ground, and walked away without a word. The lady stood there, stunned and embarrassed, as Zamiel disappeared into the crowd.

Elena pounded her fists against Entrance, frustration and desperation etched on her face. It wasn't that the door was locked; it was as if an invisible force field was blocking her way. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't reach the door handle.
"I am beginning to regret my decisions!" she muttered to herself, her eyes blazing with anger and fear.
Just as she was about to try again, the door creacked open revealing zamiel, his movements eerily silent. He walked past the invisible barrier as if it didn't exist, his eyes fixed on Elena.
Elena, unaware that Zamiel had neutralized the force field, tried to push past the barrier again. But this time, there was no resistance. She stumbled forward, losing her balance, and landed on the floor with a thud.
As she looked up, she saw Zamiel standing over her, a hint of amusement in his eyes. Elena's heart sank as she realized that Zamiel had indeed used his powers to trap her, ensuring that she couldn't escape now that they had made a deal.
Zamiel dropped the bag of clothes at Elena's feet and turned to walk away, his silence a palpable force.
Elena stared at the bags at her feet and slowly knelt down to check what was in it.
Zamiel simply disappeared into the dark shadows of the mansion, leaving Elena feeling isolated and alone.
"Ah, Elena, Elena..." she muttered to herself, realizing she had forgotten to ask Zamiel for a room.
She stood at the entrance of the dark hallway, her voice echoing off the walls. "I need a room!" she shouted, her words bouncing back to her.
To her surprise, one of the doors creaked open by itself. Elena quickly rushed to the door and peered inside. The room was modest, neither luxurious nor dingy.
She shrugged and began to unpack the clothes Zamiel had brought her. As she worked, her mind wandered to her mother, and she wondered how she was doing.
A pang of regret struck Elena's heart. Had she made a terrible mistake by agreeing to work for Zamiel? She would be spending eleven years of her life serving a devil, and the thought sent a shiver down her spine.
"No, no, no, no..." she whispered to herself, feeling a sense of despair wash over her. She knew that Zamiel would not be merciful, but she hoped he releases her anytime soon.
As Elena continued to try on the clothes, her eyes landed on a familiar object on the bedside table - her phone. She stared at it in surprise, wondering how it had gotten there. The wallpaper on the screen was the same one she had set, leaving no doubt that it was indeed her phone.
"How did he get this?" Elena wondered, her mind racing with questions. Had Zamiel somehow retrieved it for her, or was it just another mysterious occurrence in this strange new world she found herself in?
Elena's heart swelled with gratitude as she picked up the phone and dialed her mother's number. The phone rang for a few moments before her mother's warm voice answered.
"Hello, Mom!" Elena exclaimed, trying to hold back tears of joy.
"Elena, mm...mm...I'm so glad to hear from you," her mother replied, her voice trembling with emotion. "When are you going to be back?"
Elena hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. "Mom, I promise you, I'll be back soon. How are you?"
Her mother's voice was reassuring. "I'm doing fine, sweetie. Marcus and Lucas are doing a great job helping out."
Elena's heart skipped a beat at the mention of Lucas' name. "Is Lucas...is he there?" she asked, trying to sound casual.
"Yes, Lucas is here," her mother replied. "He's been working here since your dissapearance.but he's doing okay.
"Mom, I hope you didn't tell him where that I purposely left" Elena asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Her mother reassured her. "No, sweetie, I didn't tell anyone anything. Lucas is just worried about you, he's boss missing you know..the police are even looking everywhere to find you..that's all."
Elena felt a lump form in her throat as she listened to her mother's words. She missed her much..and couldn't wait to be done with the stupid deal.
"Mom, don't worry, I promise you, I'll be back soon," Elena repeated, trying to sound brave.
Her mother's voice was filled with trust and understanding. "I trust you, Elena. I know you're taking care of something important. Just stay safe, okay?"
Elena nodded, even though her mother couldn't see her. "I love you, Mom."
"I love you too, darling," her mother replied, before the call dropped.
