HELP! These Girls Wants To Kill Me

Chapter 206: 206

"Huh!?" With the strength of Yang Ze, how could he not even feel the incoming attack? He simply raised his hand and used two fingers to clasp the crude wooden arrow.

The moment Yang Ze caught the arrow, it snapped in two, demonstrating its poor quality.

Yang Ze finally turned to look in the direction from which the arrow was shot, and the moment he turned his head back, he was greeted by four more arrows which were aimed directly at his face.

"Interesting." Even now, Yang Ze couldn't see the figure of the person attacking. He simply lifted his hand and patted away the arrows like he was patting off dust from his clothes. Even though such poor-quality arrows couldn't even scratch his skin, much less injure him, he still didn't let them hit his head.

Yang Ze's eyes were focused in the direction from which the arrows were fired as he took a step forward, walking in the direction of the attacker.

The moment he took a step forward, another string of attacks made their way towards him, this time the number of arrows was more than twenty, each one hitting at a different part of his body, some were aimed at his eyes, some at his throat and some between his legs. There were even arrows, aiming directly at the joint of his limbs.

"Interesting." Yang Ze was finally sure that it was more than one person attacking him. Though from the looks of it, they all were mortals. After all, a cultivator, no matter how weak, wouldn't use something like these crude wooden arrows for attacks.

This time, he didn't use any move but simply walked forward, letting the arrows hit his body, but the moment the arrows came in contact with his skin, they shattered into tiny fragments, unable to cause him any harm. Not to mention Yang Ze, who was already a powerhouse in the realm of Vein expansion, even someone who has just started cultivating and is at the Early stage of Body Refining, refining their skin wouldn't be hurt by these wooden arrows.

Yang Ze's action of simply ignoring the attacks seemed to have taken the attackers by surprise, as Yang Ze heard a few gasps of surprise.

"Interesting." From the sound, the attackers seemed young.

This time, Yang Ze didn't delay any longer. He simply bent his knees and rushed forward at an incredible speed, almost turning into a blur.

"NOT GOOD."

"RUN."

This time, the voices were filled with panic along with the sound of chaotic footsteps, each one trying to run further away from Yang Ze, but how could Yang Ze let them escape this easily?

In less than thirty breaths, he managed to catch all the attackers before grouping them together and throwing them in front of him at an empty ground.

After catching and throwing the last one to the ground, Yang Ze finally took a good look at the people who attacked him, but the moment he did, he was taken aback.

"What the…"

"You all are just children."

Looking at the five children in front of him who were no older than twelve, he couldn't help but frown in response.

He even looked at their personal panel, just to make sure he wasn't seeing things, and once he did, the frown upon his face only deepened. After all, the personal panel of the five girls in front of him was something that he wasn't expecting.

"What the hell?" Looking at their panels, Yang Ze could't help but narrow his eyes. This was the first time he was seeing something so outrageous as this. Not to mention trees, even the only people he met in this place had this same talent.

If he hadn't known what the effect of this talent was, he would have at most found it interesting and nothing else, but since he knew what the effect of the talent was, he couldn't help but take in a deep breath.

He carefully glanced at the girls in front of him. Every single one of them was thin and malnourished. Their eyes and cheeks were sunken, and their bones were almost visible, clearly showing a lack of food. Even the clothes on their bodies were coarse and irregular, as if they were stitched together by a novice. Their bodies, which were covered in dirt, looked so feeble as if they could be blown by a single gust of wind.

As for their weapons… give laughable bows made from the black wood with a few vines in place of the strings.

Yang Ze carefully observed them from top to bottom, but other than the hate in their eyes and a strong will to survive, he didn't see anything else.

"Who are you?" This time, he finally broke the awkward silence between the two parties by asking a simple question in a warm voice with a gentle smile on his face.

"....."

"....."

What answered him was an indifferent silence, with none of the girls speaking out.

"Why are you attacking me?" Ignoring their silence, Yang Ze asked another question, but the only thing he received was another round of silence.

"Where did you come from?"

Though he didn't receive any answer, Yang Ze wasn't getting impatient. On the contrary, he even bent his knees to sit in front of them with the same gentle smile on his face. Though in the eyes of the girls, it was a short middle-aged man who was smiling in front of them, giving them chills.

"I see." Even after waiting for a while when he didn't get any answer from them, Yang Ze suddenly patted his hands before standing up and patting dust off his clothes.

"You must have thought I was an animal, right?" Yang Ze spoke before adding further.

"You all should be very careful. What if you accidentally injure someone?"

The more he spoke, the softer his voice got. By the time he reached the end of his sentence, Yang Ze gently rubbed the head of the oldest girl before turning around.

"You all should head back to your homes. You don't want your parents to worry, right?" Upon hearing the mention of their parents, the girls' bodies visibly tensed and trembled in response, which Yang Ze noticed from the corner of his eyes.

"Next time, don't just attack randomly." Speaking till here, Yang Ze simply took a step forward before vanishing from their sight.

The girls kept on looking in the direction Yang Ze departed. It wasn't until almost an hour passed that they finally got up from the ground, gathered what remained of their scattered arrows, and then picked up their bows and walked in an opposite direction.

"Ready to head back?" Yang Ze, who was standing just a few meters away from them, finally let out a sigh of relief.

Unlike what the girls imagined, he didn't immediately leave but used the illusion to make his body blend into the surroundings. After he created his first mental circle and stepped into the Realm of Mortals, his mental energy was like an ocean. He could cast illusions without having to worry about running out of mental energy and blowing his cover.

Since Lin Meilin asked him to learn about this place, he needed someplace to start. And what better way to learn about this place than from a bunch of feeble and weak children who just tried to shoot him to death.

Since they weren't willing to tell him and were awfully cautious of him, instead of wasting his time trying to make them speak, it was much better to let them go and follow them to uncover the truth.

Initially, he thought that the girls would leave the moment he walked away, but who would have imagined that they would stay sitting there for an entire hour?

This made him even more curious about their identity and where they came from.

Yang Ze quietly followed behind them, wanting to see what they were going to do next.

The girls didn't immediately head back in a particular direction, but they seemed to be wandering around, as if looking for something.

It wasn't until almost an hour passed that they finally found a plump white rabbit that was constantly running around.

"It's a rabbit." The youngest girl amongst the group couldn't help but shout in a low voice instatly drawing dissatisfied gazes from the other four girls.

"Shut up. What if this one runs away, too?" One of the girls immediately scolded her in a low voice.

"....." Though she was dissatisfied, she didn't voice it. Instead, she merely grumbled inwardly as the four girls beside her took out their bows, mounted their arrows and then, after walking carefully towards the rabbit, finally shot it.

The fragile arrows, which shattered upon touching Yang Ze's skin, were like iron nails when they stuck the rabbit.

It didn't even have time to scream or run away. In an instant, it was nailed to the ground, with blood seeping out of its body.

The youngest girl immediately rushed toward it before picking it up and wrapping it in an old cloth, and the rest of the girls joined in.

"With this, we won't have to worry about the next three days." The oldest girl spoke in a stiff voice while the rest nodded in response.

"Should we look for another one?"

"What if we catch one more?" Carrying the rabbit in her hand, the youngest girl spoke with some hope, but what she got in return was a cold answer.

"No."

"It's almost night, and even if we somehow managed to catch one more, it wouldn't be for us."

Without waiting for any reply, the girl simply headed in another direction, followed by the rest of the girls. Though the youngest girl holding the rabbit was somewhat hesitant, she finally let out a helpless sigh before chasing behind them.

"Interesting." Yang Ze watched everything from start to finish. It looked like this group of girls were hunters. Although he didn't know what kind of village or tribe would send little girls to hunt, he didn't question it. He merely watched everything in silence.

Unlike before, this time, the girls had a clear sense of direction as they made their way towards a small mountain in the distance that was covered with the eerie trees and long vines that covered the entire forest like a spider web.

Yang Ze merely glanced at the vine and, after seeing its panel, focused back on the girls.

[Hazy Vine]

[Talent: Withering Year Mark(Purple)]

He quietly followed the group of girls into what looked like a small village.

The moment Yang Ze looked at the village, he couldn't help but narrow his eyes slightly as an expression of confusion appeared on his face.

Even calling it a village was generous. It looked more like a bunch of crude buildings sprung together by awkwardly placing the black sticks, which were tied with the help of the vines.

There were almost twenty to thirty buildings in the village. But this wasn't what caught his attention. To him, this was a different world, so no matter how strange, he could attribute it to a different way of life and culture.

What attracted his attention was the fact that he didn't see a single person in the village.

The entire village was covered in gloom without a single sound.

It was as if the entire village was dead.

He couldn't see a single person in the village. Not to mention humans, he didnt even see a single animal there.

"This isn't a ghost village, right?" Yang Ze's scalp tingled as he thought about it. Could it be that the girls were dead as well, and he unknowingly followed ghosts back to their base?

In that instant, all kinds of horror stories that he read in his previous life flashed in his mind.

And just when he was wondering what he should do next, he saw a scene that almost made his heart jump out of his throat.
