Chapter 354: Jogo Doesn’t Want to Take Care of the Child
"Jogo, you've been away from the shop for a while, so a lot of commissions have piled up! Now that you're back, you'd better work hard."
Toji was already dressed and looked ready to head out.
"Why? Why do all these commissions have to be given to me?"
Jogo widened his eyes, confused. It wasn't as if the entire Yorozuya would stop functioning without him. If these commissions had been sitting here this long, they were clearly neither urgent nor important.
It doesn't have to be me, does it?
Toji ignored him, instead carrying Megumi over and placing him beside Jogo.
"Megumi, Dad's going out for a while. You can play at home."
Megumi, with his spiky hair, nodded, then looked at Yuta with anticipation.
Without Dad at home, he could play with Yuta without restraint.
"Okay, Dad! Don't worry, leave the house to me. I'll take good care of Yuta."
Megumi tried to look like a little adult, and the only thing missing was him patting his chest in assurance.
Toji chuckled, glancing at the nervous Yuta and then at Yuto, who looked perfectly relaxed, shaking his head helplessly.
"Jogo, if you really don't want to take the commission, then switch with Yuto. You stay here and take care of Yuta and Megumi, and let Yuto handle the job."
Toji was even giving Jogo a way out.
But before Jogo could answer, Yuto already looked excited.
"I think that works. I'll take the job! Jogo must be tired, so why not stay home and look after the kids?"
"It's been a while since Yuta and Megumi spent time with Uncle Jogo, right? And now that he's mastered Kidō, he can be their toy… I mean, playmate."
Yuto slipped up, and though he quickly corrected himself, the damage was done. The reminder sent a chill down Jogo's spine as memories of being terrorized by these two children resurfaced.
Megumi and Yuta might look harmless, but Jogo, with his vision as a Special Grade cursed spirit, could already see their terrifying potential.
Yuta's strength might not yet be the best in the jujutsu world, but his enormous Cursed Energy could only be rivaled by Satoru.
Satoshi had once said that the Okkotsu family descended from Sugawara no Michizane. Judging from Yuta's talent, surpassing his father was only a matter of time.
As for Megumi, while he appeared well-behaved and was a year younger than Yuta, he lacked the Heavenly Restriction his father bore and almost certainly had inherited technique potential.
Everyone was curious to see what his Ten Shadows Technique manifestation would be like.
If Megumi could inherit the Zenin clan's ancestral technique the way Satoru inherited the Limitless Technique, his future would be limitless.
Jogo's mind flicked to the Blood Manipulation user he'd met in the black market, and his mood darkened.
In the jujutsu world, perhaps only Tengen's immortality could surpass the ancestral techniques of the Gojo, Kamo, and Zenin clans.
As far as he knew, the Zenin clan's full ancestral technique had not yet reappeared.
Currently, the Gojo family had Satoru with the Limitless, the Kamo family had the mysterious bounty hunter with Blood Manipulation…
And the odds of Megumi inheriting the Ten Shadows Technique were still very high.
Thinking about it, Jogo could not help but feel just how terrifying Satoshi's plan was. Not only had he gathered the strongest sorcerers of the current era around him, but even the future's most promising talents might already be in his grasp.
As long as Satoshi lived, Jogo would never make him an enemy.
Whether it was Zanpakutō or Kidō, both were revolutionary creations.
In Jogo's mind, Satoshi would surpass even Tengen in the future.
"Forget it. I'll take the commission after all. Let Yuto stay home and spend some time with Yuta. Megumi, have fun at home."
Jogo quickly packed up and left the Yorozuya with Toji.
…
"Jogo, that guy runs fast when he wants to."
Yuto shook his head, then smirked.
"Yuta, take good care of your brother. Daddy's going to rest for a while."
Yuto casually turned on the TV, letting the kids run wild.
He was not exactly the model father. That Yuta and Megumi had grown up this far without disaster spoke volumes about their resilience.
And now, Yuta had begun leading Megumi into mischief.
The two started playing without restraint in the Yorozuya's living room.
…
"Hey, Toji, are you heading straight to the Zenin estate?"
Jogo walked with his hands behind his head, following Toji step by step. Though shorter, his presence was not lacking compared to the so-called Heavenly Tyrant.
"Hmm? Any problem with that?"
Toji glanced at him. He did not care much about Amanai Riko, but since this was Satoshi's objective, he had no issue returning to that dump of a clan for him.
In his heart, that place meant nothing anymore. The Zenin clan was a mission, not a home.
"Not really. I just don't think they'll welcome you."
Jogo shrugged.
Toji smiled faintly. "It doesn't matter. I don't need their welcome. But you, are you really coming with me? If I recall, your target isn't in this direction. Jogo?"
The name made Jogo's temper flare instantly.
He could not stop Satoshi from calling him that, but when others did it, it infuriated him.
However, after taking in Toji's tightly coiled muscles and the sheer power radiating from his body, Jogo wisely swallowed his anger.
Even as a Special Grade cursed spirit of natural disaster level, against this Heavenly Tyrant, he would only be beaten down.
"Hmph. Toji, you really never fail to annoy people."
Jogo snorted coldly and vanished on the spot, no longer wanting to follow him.
As for Toji, he had already arrived at the Zenin clan's gate.
Before he could step inside, a familiar voice rang in his ears.
