Yao Ying took another sip and looked at Jiang Hao. "For me, I could only use chaos in its most basic form and couldn't even understand other laws separately before, but after reaching the Heavenly King Realm, if I want to understand any Dao, I don't need any resources or treasures. All I have to do is just meditate on that part of the Dao and I can advance very easily in it. The speed of advancement is extremely fast too.

But I follow only a few other Dao completely, the reason is similar to above, there is no point in following all the Dao to the extreme. I just kept most of my understanding of other Dao to the bare minimum in case I ever need them."

Jiang Hao nodded in understanding. He also wanted to know how his physique would change. Senior Yin had guessed that he might be able to absorb laws from anything, be it resources or attacks themselves. He had a strong feeling that it might be the case.

But if he followed this route, then the time taken to reach the peak would be utterly insane, epochs might pass. He wasn't afraid of time, as cultivation is a time-taking process and this is universal truth. When he truly started cultivating Dao by comprehending it, then a thousand years might pass in the blink of an eye.

What really stumped him was that—was Senior Yao Ying willing to spend that long time with him? Because there is no cultivation technique in the world which can make you reach the peak of the Chaos Dao, even the Xuanluan Clan didn't have a complete technique.

Spending that long time with someone is basically saying that they are Dao Companions. No doubt he had become quite close to her in these days, but was it really close enough to be called Dao Companions? He doubted that.

But the meaning of both bonds in itself is different. Bond of Fated is a predestined union, and the other one is a chosen union. They still haven't openly accepted their Fated Bond yet, if they did, then becoming Dao Companions was meaningless.

"What are you thinking?" Yao Ying took the last sip and placed the cup aside, while looking at Jiang Hao.

Jiang Hao sighed. He shouldn't think about it for the time being, it was still too early to worry about something like this. He was still very young.

"Senior, I wanted to follow the Chaos Dao... but is it possible to refine it? I was just contemplating about it right now." Jiang Hao decided to let Senior Yao herself give a solution for it, this way he would just accept whatever she says.

Yao Ying looked at him calmly," Why do you think Chaos can't be refined, and why do you think your Refinement Law is similar to normal Refinement Law?"

Jiang Hao frowned, was it not the truth?

When Yao Ying saw him frown, she asked.

"Tell me the name of your physique."

"Heaven Refining Physique," Jiang Hao spoke.

Yao Ying looked into his eyes. "Why is it named Heaven Refining Physique and not Refinement Physique?"

Jiang Hao's eyes widened a little. He had really never thought about the 'Heaven' part of his physique. What does it symbolize? Even when he had gotten knowledge about his physique, it was about its uses and name, not what it truly symbolizes.

"It's a profound question for you, so let me break it to you. Heaven is the strongest entity in any world. It represents Law and Order. And order seeks balance in everything, the whole universe is governed by this Law and Order."

Yao Ying extended her hand and a small sphere of dark bluish-purple color formed above her palm.

Jiang Hao felt an intense trepidation. This was the first time he had seen chaos in essence. It looked ethereal and hallucinating to gaze upon, like it was reality yet it wasn't. It felt overwhelmingly dangerous, yet he felt a strange kind of calmness and serenity from it.

Although it was in the shape of a sphere, he had the feeling that it wasn't. It was like he was only allowed to see it as a sphere.

Jiang Hao sighed. There was no doubt that even though Senior Yao had created only a weakened version, it was still enough to destroy this whole city in the blink of an eye.

Yao Ying let the sphere float in between them and pointed at it. "This is chaos. It is always in a state of infinite disorder, totally opposite of the infinite order which Heaven imposes on the whole universe.

Chaos is a mix of everything while Heaven is formed from the separation of everything, but in the end both contain everything. And since your physique is meant for refining Heaven, which consists of everything, then how come it can't refine chaos, which also consists of everything?"
