Chapter 224: Emerald Leaf Pavilion
"You are now in a place where Heavens can affect things within its limitations to target you. It will keep creating situations where you will be forced to use all your strength just to survive. Using your ring to teleport away might not work because you might end up in a place even worse than what you were facing currently."
Yao Ying smiled, looking at the group of beasts, and continued, "For this one, you don't have to worry too much though, as this definitely isn't a test for you.
Most of your trials will happen in ways that will only affect you, not others, unless Heavens really want to punish all those nearby you too. That scenario isn't impossible, but it definitely is rare."
Jiang Hao sighed. He had no doubt senior Yao wouldn't help him with something he could handle himself. In fact, he really was traveling alone... until now people were able to see her, but they didn't pay any attention to her.
It was like she was visible yet invisible. Was it the application of fate law? He really couldn't figure it out.
Well, since this wasn't something he should care about, he just watched. Just as others had discussed, four cultivators in the peak stage of Void Reversion Realm and two from Heavenly King Realm came out from all the ships. There were four men and two women.
They didn't even wait for the beasts to attack before the two in the Heavenly King Realm attacked the peak stage Grade 6 Stormfin Pike.
The battle really wasn't much of a problem for them. Although the beasts were in large number, it wasn't an issue for Heavenly King Realm cultivators since no beast was in Grade 7.
As expected, it ended quite easily, and after they collected the blood cores, they came back. They seemed happy instead of annoyed because of what had happened.
"Sigh, how strong are Heavenly King Realm cultivators. I wonder if I will be able to reach that realm ever," a middle-aged cultivator lamented.
"With your talent, you should celebrate even if you reach Void Reversion Realm... reaching Heavenly King Realm? You really dream quite high of yourself."
"Why the hell are you lecturing me on it? You have even worse talent than me."
"So what? Unlike you, I don't dream it anyway."
Listening to the conversations, Jiang Hao shook his head and sat down with his back against the boat, closing his eyes while waiting for them to reach their destination.
.....
Three days later, Jiang Hao was finally able to see land again. It was none other than the region everyone wanted to live in — the Central Region.
The Central Region is too vast, bigger than all regions combined. The spirit veins are abundant here, with most of them being far higher in quality than other regions.
Jiang Hao could already feel the abundance of spirit qi from his location — at least three times higher than the Eastern Region — and he had no doubt that the deeper he went, the higher the concentration would be.
The benefit of higher spirit qi concentration wasn't only in cultivation speed, but it also increased the amount of resources and treasures that could be found in the area. This was the reason why the Central Region had far more resources than any other region.
Jiang Hao looked at the city, which was getting clearer as they approached. It was massive, far bigger than any city he had seen in the Eastern Region.
The boats arrived at their designated places and cultivators began leaving, but none of them flew. It was a rule he had learned from the cultivator he had thrown into the sea.
No one was allowed to fly other than cultivators of the branch sects present here. Basically, all rules were made to favor the branch sects of the Central Region.
He didn't care about it as he hadn't planned to stay in the city for long anyway, But he would follow the rules for the time being because he wanted to find a way to destroy the teleportation arrays of the Azure Sky Sect and Ethereal Cloud Sanctuary. If possible, then both — but if not, then he was definitely going to destroy at least one.
It depended on how close these two branches were to each other. Given that both sects always wanted to be in the most prominent spot, they would definitely be close.
They came down from the boat. The area was clearly designed for docking boats. There were many smaller boats in the sea as well — likely used for specific missions.
They walked for some time before reaching the streets of the city. The city was bustling with crowds, but not a single mortal was present. Even the vendors were cultivators — and they weren't weak either. Most were in the Core Formation Realm.
They walked toward the center of the city. Jiang Hao could already see many pavilions, even the Misty Pavilion was here. Once they got close to the center, the Alchemy Hall appeared, and not long after, he could finally see two large pavilions at the very heart of the city.
They were none other than the branch sects of the Azure Sky Sect and Ethereal Cloud Sanctuary. As expected, they were together — this made things easier. Not only that, but the Golden Lotus Pavilion branch was also nearby.
He hadn't even considered them before, but since they were within reach, that was even better.
"Senior, would you like to drink tea?"
He already knew the answer would be yes, but he asked nonetheless, and as expected, Yao Ying nodded.
There was a tea pavilion near the Alchemy Hall, and since it was near the center, it must be very famous. Its name was Emerald Leaf Pavilion.
Before reaching there, Jiang Hao released his cultivation to the Soul Sea Realm so there wouldn't be any unnecessary trouble to disturb them this time.
When they reached the entrance, the guard didn't stop them, and they entered easily. When Jiang Hao saw the pavilion from inside, even he was surprised by its beauty.
There were many small ponds inside, all connected, and a thin veil of green mist covered each of them. Beautiful emerald lotuses bloomed in every pond, and the mist was clearly released by them. All these lotuses were Grade 5 spirit herbs.
The pavilion itself was in the middle, shaped like a pure green lotus, also covered in ethereal mist. The whole scene was mesmerizing.
They made their way toward the pavilion when one of the maids came out to greet them.
