Kailen mused to himself.

" Speaking of the banquet.."

As Kailen was in his thoughts ,his doorbell rang.

Kailen already knew who it was because of his perception.

He finally managed to reach the door and opened it.

Standing before the door were the society leaders.

" Something is different about you"

Everlong was the first person to speak.

" Atrexians, as perceptive as ever"

Kailen couldn't help but sigh.

What seemed different about what was definitely the changes he had undergone due to his training in the pocket world.

There was no physical indication of him having experienced any change compared to the time he broke through to the rank 5 supreme stage ascendant level in the energy vault.

However , Everlong was able to notice something had changed with him.

Why were these Atrexians so perceptive ?

" Are we gonna stand out here forever , or we can all go and come back later if you have some beauty holed up in your room?"

Pan , said with an extremely shameless grin on his face.

" Fuck off" Kailen blurted out these words.

Everyone noticed the expression on Kailen's face and couldn't help but chuckle.

Kailen sighed , not taking them seriously.

" Anyway come inside"

The group headed into Kailen's apartment.

They made themselves comfortable in the hall, after which Kailen brought them some tea to take.

" You guys didn't come here just to hang out right?"

Kailen asked. He was curious about their sudden visit.

Everyone turned to look at Zarek, who exchanged nods with them as if they had all agreed to something.

" Technically yeah. First of all, have you checked your inbox ? Because if you had, I think you'd know why we are here. The whole empire is already aware so it's quite shocking you have no idea what's going on" Zarek said.

Kailen squinted his eyes slightly.

After returning from the pocket world, he had simply gone to the virtual universe forums to read on the latest developments in the empire, but he was still reading on that when they came over.

Also, he didn't check his virtual universe account inbox.

Quickly ,Kailen moved towards the inbox.

The message he saw made him open his eyes lightly in surprise before they regained their calm.

It stated that the Universe Alliance of the low tier civilisations were sending him and several young powerhouses of the Astral Empire to the Frontlines of the Empire as reinforcements in the war. But before that, he'd be graduating from the academy in two weeks time, then he'd be sent to the Frontlines.

The academy higher ups had already been informed of this.

This made him recall the time where he graduated from the Zanpala university in an extremely short time after he enrolled.

It seems someone as outstanding as himself couldn't spend much time in campus settings. Sigh!

Anyway , this was an order from the Universe Alliance, something that Kailen ,at his current strength, couldn't dare to defy.

Also it be a good opportunity to get rid of some Vimodial contractors.

He could also now articulate what these fellows were here for.

" Let me guess, you guys want to join me at the Frontlines, and you came to find out if it was possible to negotiate with the higher ups of the Universe Alliance of the low tier civilisations to allow you to join me there?"

" Exactly. We honestly don't know what can prove a competition for us in the academy anymore" Lian Yu chipped in, after which everyone nodded.

Lian Yu added.

"After the society wars, we have realized that the academy is gonna stifle our growth. We've grown accustomed to real life and death experiences from the society wars, and we have realized that the only way to grow stronger henceforth ,is to fight on battlefields with extremely high stakes. We can't remain cooked up here in the academy. In fact, we are not the only ones who have expressed this interest, every other member of either the Sword Tribunal Society expressed individual interest in this"

Zarek added , back reclining in the sofa, hand scratching his chin " I was honestly surprised when my society members asked me if they could go to the Frontlines. They have come to a place of understanding that, they can only become extremely powerful if they put themselves in environments that will put pressure on them"

Kailen sighed deeply.

He had to admit that they were right.

Also, he agreed with them.

He wanted to transform the Sword Tribunal Society into a formidable force.

Also, having Zarek's and the Atrexia Society's support wouldn't be bad.

Venturing the Frontlines with them was a very good opportunity to groom them.

Leaving them in the academy would limit their growth, and weaken their desire for growth.

They needed to be in an environment where they'd be pressured and stimulated for growth.

And for awakeners, being in a place where your life was constantly on the line was the best place for that.

Anyway , he didn't even know anyone connected to the low tier civilisation higher ups of the universe alliance.

If people like Zarek and Esimo ,coming from terrifying backgrounds in the empire could not do anything about the situation and had to ask him , it meant that their parents couldn't pull any strings here.

Kailen's mind churned with thoughts.

There was only one way to go around this.

He could only reach these higher ups of the Universe Alliance of the low tier civilisations through someone who was already an enemy.

The thought of it made him extremely nauseous.

He had to consult the principal of the academy, someone who was an enemy !

No, there had to be another solution.

He won't even entertain the thought.

"Or maybe , I could consult Ross Kadmen and see what the fellow could do?"

Kailen mused inwardly.

" It wouldn't hurt right? It's not like I have anything to lose by asking him to see whether or not he can help" He added inwardly "Yeah, I'll do that. If he can't assist me, maybe I could try to get Old Ha to pull some strings and see how things will go. After all, as the president of the Alchemy Association of the Empire, he's literally a Hegemon. Im not certain it will work, but it's worth a shot"

After making up his mind , Kailen replied his friends , staring at him expectantly and waiting for an answer " I agree with you guys. I'll do my best to deal with this"
