Chapter 274 Sensational 1 .
Samaron stood over the corpse of a female prey whose life force he had just devoured.
His gaze snapped past several dried corpses, products of his untamed appetite, sprawled on the ground.
"Finally, I managed to break through the rank 5 supreme stage ascendant level. I need to feed more."
A crazed expression appeared on his face as he spotted a little child holed up somewhere in a corner, obviously broken after watching him unleash his savagery on her loved ones.
"Not the kid."
He was now a vimodial contractor, solely relying on the life force of others to survive and increase in strength. However, that didn't mean he would go out of his way to attack little kids, or so he thought.
In his own way, this was an attempt to pacify the guilt that had been gnawing at him for all the lives he had snuffed out recently. Yet, he couldn't help but realise that this guilt was being eroded gradually, replaced with a desire, a sentient thirst for life force.
By the time he realized, he was standing on the husky corpse of the little girl, having devoured her life force.
"Who am I kidding." He chuckled. Wasn't he being a hypocrite earlier? What did he think earlier? That he would spare the kid?
Since he was now a monster, might as well embrace it. As long as he could grow stronger to avenge his daughter, he would resort to any means necessary.
Samaron disappeared, leaving the slumbering corpses alone as though he had never been there. The hunt for the night continued.

The registration of the Sword Tribunal Society proceeded smoothly without any mishaps.
What caused an uproar was the fact that the mysterious Professor Ross had been the one to give a recommendation for the establishment of the society.
Many changed their view of the Sword Tribunal Society after that, seeing the society in a new light. Others were still skeptical, seeing the recommendation of the professor as simply a favor done for Kailen Darkhaven since the alchemist had been the one to heal his son and help him break through to the galactic level.
Many were skeptical too to join the society as Kailen Darkhaven had too many grudges with many societies at the moment. They wanted to see how he would handle these situations first before they decided to join the society or stay away from it.
They didn't want to earn the ire of the Student Council, the Harkers, Darkhavens, Arcane Empowerment Sect, and other societies on campus.
Also, the Sword Tribunal Society had yet to secure a standing in the academy inasmuch as Kailen and the vice founder, Lian Yu, were prodigies—especially Kailen Darkhaven, who was also a monstrous alchemist apart from his battle prowess.
"You are still not gonna make a move?"
Lian Yu asked Kailen, currently seated across him in the lounge of the building they had bought as the society building.
It was an extremely large villa with over-the-top training facilities that only someone with monstrous student credits like Kailen could afford.
Kailen scratched his chin slightly, then replied,
"I have to start making the elixirs today. When I'm done we will make the announcement. Hehehehe. They will come flocking in their numbers, then we will decide who we will allow to join our society or not."
Lian Yu couldn't help but think that the crooked smile on Kailen's face made it look like the fellow wanted to dupe someone. Was a sword-type awakener not supposed to be someone with a righteous disposition? What was with the crooked expression on this fellow's face?
This guy...
He shook his head, brushing those thoughts aside.

Kailen left the building, heading towards the alchemy department. On his way, he encountered several individuals who started pointing fingers at him and talking about him. However, he paid them no attention.
When he arrived at the alchemy department, the person he saw seated at the counter was different from the female demihuman he had seen the last time.
Seated at the counter was a male figure with black hair and deep unsettling eyes. He wore a white t-shirt and jeans, alongside some sneakers.
He was currently engrossed in some reality show he was watching. Kailen had to say hello about three times before the gentleman even realised that someone had arrived at the counter.
The moment he saw Kailen, he couldn't help but thank his stars. He had intended to join the Sword Tribunal Society, yet his schedule proved extremely unfavorable for him. One of them included where he was currently seated.
That bastard Henrita would get a piece of him when she returned—leaving him with this dirty work.
Before Kailen could even talk, Pan Halfoy spoke eagerly, "I want to join your society."
Kailen was taken aback. He had not expected this. However, he replied, "Oh, alright. Let me finish my business here and we can go to the Society Headquarters."
Pan nodded, then left Kailen to his business.
After that, Kailen entered a high-tier alchemical room, leaving Pan curiously wondering what kind of uproar this monster was gonna cause again.
"At least something good came out of sitting here," Pan muttered to himself. "I guess I could let Henrita off for convincing me to do this shitty job for her."
Meanwhile, Kailen entered the alchemical room. Quickly he got to work.
His plan was simple. He was gonna make universe energy recovery elixirs, healing elixirs, and talent-enhancing elixirs with an extremely high purity level. After that, he would announce that they would be sold at an extremely high discount to the first hundred people who managed to join the Sword Tribunal Society.
Also, the rules for joining the Sword Tribunal Society:
The person could under no circumstance be affiliated with any society. If they wanted to join the Sword Tribunal Society and were members of another society, they had to break affiliations with that particular society.
Kailen didn't want anyone who would double-cross him joining his society after all
