"You filthy beggar! How dare you speak to my dad like that? Are you fucking looking to die?" Su Daokun shouted angrily.

Lin Xiao didn't even bother with him. He turned to Su Qingning and said softly, "Honey, have you eaten yet?"

Su Qingning shook her head.

"Then let's go. I'll take you out to eat!"

Su Qingning nodded. She was indeed a bit hungry. Besides, she really didn't want to stay in the Su Family's home any longer. This whole family made her feel nauseous.

They called themselves relatives, but looking at the people in front of her, they didn't act like family in the slightest. Shao Mei'er was right. The competition with Su Qingkun was supposed to be fair, with no outside help. Yet Su Daonong kept using the Su Corporation's resources to support him behind the scenes. "Oh? Su Daonong, are you planning to detain me as well?" Shao Mei'er asked with a disdainful sneer.

Su Daonong snorted coldly. "You can go. But this filthy beggar and Su Qingning cannot!"

Lin Xiao was amused. He looked at Su Daonong with a smile and said, "In all my life, no one has ever dared to stop me when I wanted to leave. Why don't you give it a try? See if you can stop me!"

As soon as he said that, Su Qingkun shot back arrogantly, "Shit! You filthy beggar, who the hell do you think you are? I'm stopping you today, and I'd like to see you try and touch a single hair on my head."

As he spoke, Su Qingkun blocked the path for Lin Xiao and Su Qingning.

Lin Xiao looked at him with a cold smile. The gaze sent a chill through Su Qingkun's heart, but he still stubbornly stood his ground.

"You're sure you want to stop me?"

"That's right! I'm stopping you, you stinking..."

Su Qingkun hadn't even finished speaking when a deafening sound reached everyone's ears. He looked as if he had been struck by a massive iron weight, his entire body flying backward before crashing heavily onto the ground.

Intense pain washed over him instantly, and he began to scream in agony. He hurt everywhere, especially his stomach where Lin Xiao had kicked him. The pain was like a thousand arrows piercing his heart, so severe he almost passed out.

Seeing his son get hit, Su Daonong was about to explode with rage. Without a second thought, he lunged at Lin Xiao.

Lin Xiao let out a cold laugh. Before Su Daonong could even get close, Lin Xiao shot out a kick—swift, efficient, and utterly brutal.

THWACK!

Su Daonong was thrown violently through the air. He landed on the ground and lay there, motionless. It was impossible to tell if he was dead or alive.

Of course, Lin Xiao knew he wasn't dead. He had restrained his strength when he struck. The old man was likely motionless because the pain was so intense he had nearly blacked out, unable to even make a sound.

"Reckless fool," Lin Xiao said with a cold laugh.

The scene made Su Qingning's heart tremble. To be honest, watching Lin Xiao take care of Su Qingkun and Su Daonong filled her with a grim sense of satisfaction. Ever since her father's death, she and her mother had been bullied by her eldest uncle's family countless times. Her mother, in particular, had been humiliated more times than she could count, often locking herself in her room to cry bitterly afterward. In those moments, Su Qingning had desperately wished that one day, she could get justice for her mother.

However, alongside the secret thrill, she was also filled with worry. Su Daonong was still lying motionless on the ground, and she had no idea if he was dead or alive. She was genuinely afraid that if something had happened to him, Lin Xiao would be the one to suffer the consequences.

"Honey, let's go. I'm starving," Lin Xiao said softly.

Su Qingning nodded.

Just as the group of four was about to head out, Su Qingfeng suddenly spoke, her voice sharp and piercing. "Stop right there! You think you can just beat someone up and leave? In your dreams!"

Lin Xiao turned to look at her and was about to speak when he saw her husband walking over with a grin. Seeing this, Lin Xiao smiled.

"Su Qingfeng, just the other day, Xiao Shixiong mentioned he was thinking of finding you another beggar for a husband."

The words hit Su Qingfeng like a thunderbolt. Her face went pale instantly, and all of her previous arrogance vanished without a trace. How could she dare say another word? One beggar was already hard enough to deal with; if another one showed up, she felt her life would be over.

Seeing that she had finally shut up, Lin Xiao gave a disdainful scoff. He took Su Qingning's delicate hand in his, and they walked out of the Su Family home.

"Honey, is Xiao Shixiong really going to find Su Qingfeng another beggar for a husband?" Su Qingning asked curiously as soon as they got in the car.

Lin Xiao was amused by her question. He gently tapped her delicate nose. "Silly girl, I obviously just said that to scare her. That's what she gets for daring to block our way!"

Su Qingning burst out laughing. Her smile was like a hundred flowers blooming at once, radiantly beautiful and utterly captivating. Like lightning, Lin Xiao leaned in and gave her a quick peck on the lips.

Su Qingning's smile froze, her cheeks flushing red. She gave him a light tap with her fist. "You're terrible! You're always teasing me!"

"Just wait until your period is over. I'll let you 'tease' me back properly," Lin Xiao said with a mischievous grin.

Su Qingning's cheeks turned an even more seductive shade of red. "Hmph, I don't want to!"

"You don't want to... or you don't want me to stop?" Lin Xiao's grin grew even naughtier.

Having been intimate with Lin Xiao once before, Su Qingning naturally knew what he meant. Both embarrassed and annoyed, she shot him a glare. "Hmph, you jerk! You're insufferable! I'm not talking to you anymore!"

With that, she turned her head away.

Laughing, Lin Xiao started the car and sped toward Chunyu Pavilion.
