Hattori , Puppet Tyrant in Sand

Chapter 93: **Chapter 93: The Nature of the Sealed Puppets**

After crafting eighteen sealed puppets, Hattori was almost out of spirit beads. Only six [Normal] Water Beads, one [Fine] Earth Bead, seven [Fine] Water Beads, and two basic "Sword Master" puppets remained.

People who enjoy games often share one trait: "A beggar can't keep overnight food"—any good materials must be used immediately. Hattori was no exception.

"Leaving materials unused is a waste. I'd rather convert them into fighting power; that's what they're meant for!"

With that in mind, he decided to make the last two puppets into sealed puppets as well.

First, he took out a [Fine] Earth Bead and then, after a moment's thought, a [Fine] Water Bead. Adding a portion of his own chakra, he sealed it all into one puppet.

Upon completion, the puppet's attributes transformed.

**[Name: Sealed Puppet - Four Pillars House]**

**[Level: 40]**

**[Attributes: Attack 200 / Defense 100 / Durability 100]**

**[Seal Technique: Four Pillars House Technique, uses Wood Style to create a 200 square meter two-story wooden structure, costing 200 MP per use]**

Hattori: "(Д*)"

What? A "Four Pillars House"? A building technique?

Looking at the newly generated seal skill, Hattori's mind went blank.

While sealing both Water and Earth spirit beads, he had wondered if he could create a Kekkei Genkai (bloodline limit) technique, but he wasn't expecting much.

To his surprise, it actually resulted in a Kekkei Genkai technique—Wood Style! However, the technique itself wasn't quite what he'd hoped for.

Rather than being linked to the legendary Hashirama Senju, the God of Shinobi, this Wood Style originated from a failed experiment by Orochimaru—Yamato!

There's a saying in the Naruto fandom: "Hashirama's Wood Style conquers, Yamato's Wood Style Builder." That sums up the difference.

Yamato's Wood Style is indeed useful, but Hattori didn't need it!

Currently, he had Mist-style puppets for control, hardened puppets for defense, and water cannon puppets for ranged attacks. His lineup had support, tanks, and ranged fighters all covered.

What he needed now was an agile jungler to capture enemies!

How was a "Four Pillars House" puppet supposed to hunt down opponents? By launching wooden houses to knock them over?

At this point, Hattori was frustrated and impulsively added another [Fine] Water Bead into the Four Pillars House puppet.

His thinking was that since the puppet now had Wood Style, adding a Water Bead might unlock Water-based jutsu.

He was wrong.

The Four Pillars House puppet's seal technique did change, but not in the way he had hoped.

**[Seal Technique: Four Pillars House, uses Wood Style to create a 300 square meter, three-story, duplex wooden structure, costing 300 MP per use]**

Hattori: "(Д*)"

A three-story duplex? I wanted Water Style jutsu, not a bigger wooden building!

Hattori's frustration grew, and it took him a while to calm down, eventually cracking a wry smile.

"Guess I was too optimistic. [Fine]-grade spirit beads can't produce advanced skills. I've wasted three good beads, but at least I learned something."

Through this experiment, he deduced that a sealed puppet's abilities are fixed at the moment of creation.

Adding additional beads afterward doesn't unlock or change skills but can only enhance existing abilities.

To test this theory, he took a hardened puppet made with a [Normal] Earth Bead and added a [Normal] Water Bead.

The hardened puppet's attributes changed.

**[Name: Sealed Puppet - Hardened]**

**[Level: 19]**

**[Attributes: Attack 200 / Defense 1100 / Durability 1100]**

**[Seal Technique: Intermediate Hardening Technique, provides significant armor and durability boosts, costing 50 MP per use]**

Seeing the new attributes confirmed his hypothesis.

He then committed all five remaining [Normal] Water Beads into the hardened puppet.

To his surprise, the puppet's defense and durability didn't reach his anticipated 2100, instead capping at 2000.

**[Seal Technique: Advanced Hardening Technique, provides extreme armor and durability boosts, costing 100 MP per use]**

Hattori realized that the effect of sealed techniques has a cap, which is likely based on the spirit bead's grade.

With that in mind, he looked at his last remaining blank puppet and, steeling himself, added all five [Fine] Water Beads into it.

With that, he'd used up all his crafting materials.

"Let's see if this one turns out to be any good!"

Taking a deep breath, he examined the new puppet.

**[Name: Sealed Puppet - Great Waterfall]**

**[Level: 50]**

**[Attributes: Attack 500 / Defense 100 / Durability 100]**

**[Seal Technique: Great Waterfall Technique, uses Water Style to form a massive water sphere, unleashing a powerful waterfall impact on enemies, costing 500 MP per use and doubled in dry areas]**

"The Great Waterfall Technique? It actually came with that skill?"

Hattori frowned as he looked over the new skill.

It wasn't a loss, but it wasn't a huge win either—decent but not exceptional.

This skill wasn't ideal for one-on-one combat but could be a powerful control skill in a larger battle.

Its only downside was the high MP cost in areas without natural water.

With only 1030 MP, using this skill without water nearby would drain him fast.

"Oh well, it's already made. Might come in handy one day," he sighed, then stored all the puppets into his sealing scroll.

After completing the seal, he tapped the scroll lightly.

"With twenty sealed puppets now, the name [Sword Master Eighteen Puppet] doesn't really fit. Let's go with [Limitless Sword Master X20] instead!"

Renaming them instantly made him feel like his collection was a level above, with a modern, tech-savvy vibe.

Compared to this, Chiyo's [Chikamatsu Ten Puppets] felt outdated and provincial.

"When I get back, I'll suggest Chiyo rename hers [Chikamatsu X10pulse]! Haha!"

Hattori laughed to himself.

But his laughter soon faded. He realized that he couldn't fit the several hundred explosive puppets into the same scroll.

After closer inspection, he saw why: the scroll Chiyo had given him was already maxed out—

**[Advanced Puppet Sealing Scroll: Can seal up to 70 levels per puppet, totaling no more than 700 levels. Current capacity: 700/700]**

Seeing this, he frowned.

"Sealed puppets of higher levels take up more space. I'll need to get a few more sealing scrolls from Chiyo."
