Harry Potter: Using science to be IMMORTAL

Chapter 337: Chapter 337: Escape Plan

Evening.

Sirius held the wine glass in his left hand, pouring the liquid into his mouth.

A newspaper lay on the table, but he couldn't bring himself to read it.

Restlessly fiddling with the cup, his gaze often wandered to the phoenix feather next to the newspaper, occasionally glancing at the wand on his right side.

His old friends were engaged in a life-and-death struggle, yet here he was, idly reading the newspaper.

He felt ashamed.

Have I really become weak?

Just using Harry as an excuse to shirk my own responsibilities?

Harry's current life was hard-won. He tried to convince himself. Do you really want to make that boy homeless again? To send him back to that home where he's seen as a freak?

To let James and Lily's only child lose his godfather after already losing his parents?

Death was not frightening, even Azkaban had not broken him, but if his identity as a member of the Order of the Phoenix was revealed, he would face separation... or take the boy and flee together.

Uh... Flee together?

Suddenly, Sirius thought it was a great idea.

He even pictured it: riding his flying motorcycle, those Aurors or Watchers would never find them.

Wandering with Harry... It felt almost like traveling with James...

Oh, we could also look for Lupin. Who knows where that guy is hiding now, living with werewolves could be fun for a while!

Then take him on our travels too!

That would be... amazing!

No, no, Sirius quickly shook his head, trying to dispel this crazy thought.

You're just drunk. What responsible adult becomes a fugitive and then takes a child on the run?!

Too insane!

Harry is still in school, he's only in his third year, only fourteen. What were we doing when we were fourteen?

Oh... practicing our Animagus transformations in various forbidden places...

"No, no, too crazy..." Sirius muttered to himself, but his eyes shone brighter.

Speaking of which, is school that important?

Couldn't I or Lupin teach him enough spells to become an outstanding wizard?

Would I rather let Snape turn Harry into a gloomy old bat?

Harry's interest in the Dark Arts might be because Snape became headmaster, promoting Dark Arts at the school!

Thinking about it, taking Harry away from school might be a good opportunity to free him from Snape's influence.

Of course, deep down, a voice reminded him that all this was his unreliable association, this "wandering plan" with no future was too irresponsible.

But after being unemployed and a farmer for three years, Sirius felt a surging passion once again.

"I could write a letter, ask Harry what he thinks." Sirius said to himself, "Of course, we don't have to become fugitives, if Harry agrees, we could move to another country, or just wander around."

"Yes, write him a letter, talk to him, maybe he's not happy at school. He's so much like James, a born adventurer, maybe, he'd like that adventurous life..."

Thinking this, he couldn't wait to pick up the quill and swiftly wrote a letter.

He stuffed the letter into an envelope, about to send it with an owl, then thought better of it and put it down.

No hurry, summer vacation is coming, it's not too late to talk to Harry when he returns.

He placed the letter in a drawer, contemplating how to start the conversation with Harry when suddenly, the phoenix feather on the table burst into bright flames.

"Help! All members of the Order of the Phoenix, we need support! We are surrounded, requesting support!"

...

"Ah, it's ink..." Murphy swallowed the third Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Bean, "Professor, there aren't any like dung flavor in these, right?"

"As far as I know, there shouldn't be."

Dumbledore ate another ink-flavored bean without changing his expression, "Now, answer my earlier question, Murphy, who are you really?"

He had asked Murphy this question at Nicolas Flamel's funeral.

But then, Murphy had simply brushed it off with, "I am who I stand before you."

Such wordplay wouldn't satisfy him now.

"Actually, there's nothing much to hide." Murphy said, "My situation is quite special, but it's not entirely beyond understanding."

"What do you mean?" Dumbledore asked curiously.

"Let's just say, I come from the future." Murphy said.

Dumbledore was taken aback, looking at Grindelwald sitting beside him, who nodded slightly, "This kid seems to be telling the truth."

It was indeed the truth, just missing some details.

"Is that so?" Dumbledore was shocked, "What's the story? How did you come from the future to now? How far from the future did you come?"

"Not very far, about thirty years or so, due to some reasons I'm also unaware of, I returned to my school days."

"I see," Dumbledore seemed to understand some things, "That's why you speak like a seer, why I can't see your future clearly, because you've suddenly grown up, that's why you knew where I placed the Philosopher's Stone... Lucas, is he yours?"

Murphy nodded, not denying, at this point such matters were no longer important.

"But, I still don't understand, why do you know so much about Muggle matters?"

"Consider that your third question, Professor."

...

Grabbing the phoenix feather, Sirius felt like he had lifted a heavy burden. While worried for his old friends in the Order, he also felt a hint of excitement.

A long-lost sense of excitement filled his chest.

He gripped his wand tightly and vanished from the room in an instant.

As soon as he landed, he rolled to one side, and when he looked up, he saw another wizard pointing his wand at him in the same posture.

The next second, both flicked their wands, sending the Auror behind each other flying.

They turned around, standing back to back.

"Lupin, I thought you got lost chasing rabbits in the forest." Sirius joked.

Lupin's slightly pale face showed a smile, "And I heard you were planting potatoes, Sirius, turned vegetarian?"

"Ah, yes, three years of potatoes, carrots, lettuce, all grown by myself." Sirius said, casting another Stunning Spell at an Auror.

"How's it being a farmer?" Lupin deflected an attack with a Shield Charm for Sirius.

"Not bad, just a bit boring." Sirius said.

"You won't be bored now." Lupin petrified a Watcher, turning to Sirius with a look.

"Let's make a scene, my friend."
