Harry Potter: Toji Potter

Chapter 144: Team Hakashi, Mission to rescue the Kazekage

The sun had barely risen when Naruto and Sakura stood before Kakashi in Training Ground Three. The clearing was eerily silent, save for the rustling of leaves. A familiar set of bells jingled on Kakashi's hip, the sound sparking old memories of their very first test as Genin.

This time, however, the stakes were different.

Watching from the sidelines stood Tsunade, Jiraiya, Harry, and Shizune, their keen eyes analyzing every move.

Kakashi lifted his book lazily, one eye curved in amusement. "Well, well. Let's see how much you've improved."

Naruto grinned, cracking his knuckles. "You're about to find out, Kakashi-sensei."

"Remember," Kakashi said, his voice suddenly carrying a dangerous edge, "I'm not going easy on you."

And just like that, he vanished.

Sakura and Naruto moved simultaneously—Sakura enhancing her fists with chakra, slamming the ground and sending shockwaves through the earth, forcing Kakashi to reveal himself.

Naruto was already there.

His fist lashed out, only for Kakashi to block and counter with a kick—Naruto twisted midair, slamming a Wind-enhanced Rasengan toward him. Kakashi barely evaded, his vest slicing open from the sheer pressure.

Fast. Faster than before.

But Kakashi had experience. He predicted their movements before they even made them. Naruto threw a storm of shadow clones, overwhelming the battlefield, but Kakashi expertly dispelled them with precise taijutsu.

He countered Sakura's heavy blows, using her own strength against her, flipping her over and knocking her back—only for her to grab his wrist midair and hurl him back at Naruto.

Naruto smirked.

"I got you now!"

He unleashed a barrage of attacks, switching between elemental transformations, chakra-enhanced strikes, and sudden feints—Kakashi was forced to take the fight seriously, shutting his book and using both hands.

Jiraiya whistled. "Look at that brat go."

Tsunade smirked. "Naruto's finally fighting like a true shinobi."

Even Harry nodded in approval.

For all his power, Naruto wasn't rushing to end it.

No, he was learning from Kakashi—reading his movements, analyzing why he countered a certain way. He adapted his style with every exchange, forcing Kakashi to push harder and harder.

Then, it happened.

Naruto faked an overextension, allowing Kakashi to go for a counter—except Sakura had already set a trap beneath him.

Kakashi's foot sank into the earth, throwing his balance off for just one second.

And in that moment—

Naruto appeared behind him, grabbing the bells and flipping back.

The chime of the bells rang through the training ground.

Silence.

Then—

Tsunade laughed. "Looks like you lost, Kakashi."

Kakashi sighed, rubbing the back of his head. "Well, I wasn't expecting that."

Naruto grinned, tossing one bell to Sakura.

"So…" he stretched, cocky smirk in place. "Are we officially Team Hakashi now?"

Kakashi sighed. "Yeah, yeah… you passed."

Later, after a well-earned break, Naruto strolled through Konoha and ran into Shikamaru and Temari.

"You look like you're in a good mood," Shikamaru yawned, hands in his pockets.

Naruto smirked. "Just kicked Kakashi's butt."

Temari raised a brow, arms crossed. "So? You're a Jonin now, right? Shouldn't be that surprising."

Shikamaru's eyes widened. "Wait. You're actually a Jonin?"

Naruto grinned. "Yup."

Temari smirked. "Gaara's Kazekage now, you know."

Naruto scoffed. "That's cool and all… but I'd still beat him."

Temari chuckled. "Careful, Uzumaki. You're talking about my little brother."

Before Naruto could retort, a messenger hawk swooped down, landing on Temari's outstretched arm.

Her expression darkened.

"…This is from Suna."

Without hesitation, the three bolted toward Tsunade's office.

Tsunade's office was tense.

She held the message tightly, her eyes narrowed.

"Gaara has been kidnapped by the Akatsuki."

The room fell silent.

Then, she turned to the Anbu in hidden around her office.

"Gather Team Hakashi. This is an emergency mission."

Naruto's voice cut through the air.

"No need. We're already here."

Tsunade's eyes widened—she hadn't sensed him arrive.

Temari stepped forward, her voice sharp. "I'm coming, too."

Tsunade nodded. "You're Suna's ambassador. Of course."

Shikamaru sighed. "Guess I'm out. Too many duties."

Naruto grinned. "Don't slack off too much, lazy-ass."

With that, Team Hakashi and Temari set off—racing toward Sunagakure, ready to bring Gaara home.

The wind howled through the towering trees as Team Hakashi moved at full speed toward the Land of Wind. The dense foliage blurred past them, each step pushing them closer to Sunagakure.

Naruto kept pace with Temari, who matched his speed effortlessly. Sakura followed close behind, stealing occasional glances at them. Kakashi and Harry stayed at the rear, watching with amusement.

"So, Temari," Naruto started, flashing his trademark grin, "I gotta ask. How's it feel having Gaara as the Kazekage?"

Temari scoffed. "Unexpected at first. If you told me years ago that my psycho little brother would be running a whole village, I'd have laughed in your face."

Naruto chuckled. "Yeah, well, people change. I mean, look at me! From a loudmouth knucklehead to a super cool Jonin."

Temari raised an eyebrow. "Super cool?"

"Yup." Naruto smirked. "Gaara's not the only one who got stronger."

Temari smirked back. "Guess we'll see about that."

Their easy banter didn't go unnoticed.

Sakura's brow twitched as she listened. Why is he acting so friendly with her? It wasn't like she was jealous or anything—Naruto could talk to whoever he wanted. But something about the way he grinned at Temari made her blood boil just a little.

Kakashi glanced at Harry, who was watching the interaction with an amused expression. The two shared a knowing smirk but said nothing.

The trek continued, the trees thinning as they neared the desert's edge.

And then—

A wall of golden sand loomed before them, swirling violently under the force of a raging sandstorm. The winds howled, cutting through the air like knives. Visibility dropped to almost zero.

Temari grimaced. "This storm is bad. We need to wait it out or find another route—"

Harry sighed dramatically. "A storm, you say?"

Before anyone could question him, he stomped his foot on the ground.

The earth rumbled.

From the trembling ground, a perfect replica of Harry emerged, forming an Earth Clone that instantly vanished, teleporting into the heart of the storm.

A moment later—

A powerful gust exploded outward, tearing through the sandstorm with unimaginable force. The wind howled, then vanished. The storm, once an impenetrable force of nature, was gone—blasted away as if it had never existed.

The team stared in stunned silence.

Harry dusted off his hands, turned to them with a smug grin, and casually asked:

"What storm were you guys talking about?"

Naruto burst out laughing. "You show-off!"

Temari shook her head, impressed.

Sakura sighed. "Why am I not even surprised?"

Kakashi chuckled, flipping a page in his book. "I was wondering how long it'd take before you flexed your power."

Harry just grinned. "We're burning daylight. Let's move."

With the path now clear, Team Hakashi raced forward—closer than ever to their mission to save Gaara.
