Harry Potter: Toji Potter

Chapter 139: Sasuke Retrieval begins

Sakura woke up with a splitting headache. She groggily sat up on a cold bench near the village gates, confusion swirling in her mind.

Then, it hit her.

"Sasuke…" she whispered, her green eyes darkening.

He had left. He had knocked her out when she tried to stop him.

Her hands clenched into fists, and she felt an explosion of anger rise inside her.

"That bastard… He couldn't even drop me off at home?! He just left me lying on a bench like garbage?!"

"When I see him again, I'm gonna kick his ass! CHA!"

Without hesitation, she sprinted to the Hokage's office.

Tsunade sighed as she leaned back in her chair, rubbing her temples.

"So… Uchiha Sasuke has fled the village," she muttered after hearing Sakura's report.

Shizune's eyes widened. "What should we do, Lady Tsunade?"

Tsunade's jaw tightened. "We bring him back."

She turned toward the window, her golden eyes flashing.

"I'll form a retrieval team immediately."

Within the hour, five young shinobi stood before Tsunade in her office:

Naruto Uzumaki (Chūnin, the strongest of the squad)

Shikamaru Nara (Chūnin, acting as squad leader)

Kiba Inuzuka (with Akamaru, tracking expert)

Neji Hyūga (Byakugan specialist)

Chōji Akimichi (brute strength)

Tsunade surveyed them all. "Your mission is simple: Retrieve Sasuke and bring him back alive. Do not engage in unnecessary fights. Avoid killing unless absolutely necessary. Understand?"

"Yes, ma'am!" they chorused.

Naruto's fists were clenched. Sasuke, you idiot. We'll bring you back even if we have to beat you up.

Shikamaru sighed. "This is such a drag, but let's get moving."

The team took off into the trees, moving at full speed.

After hours of travel, they finally caught up with Sasuke's escorts—the Sound Five.

The five enemy shinobi—Sakon, Tayuya, Kidōmaru, Jirōbō, and their leader, Kimimaro—stood before them, smug and confident.

"Well, well," Sakon sneered. "Looks like Konoha's little brats came to take back their precious Uchiha."

"Hand over Sasuke!" Naruto demanded.

Tayuya scoffed. "Pfft. Like hell we will."

Then, without warning, Jirōbō—the massive brute—attacked!

Jirōbō slammed his hands together, and the ground beneath them rumbled.

"Earth Style: Earth Prison Dome of Magnificent Nothingness!"

A massive rock dome formed around the Konoha team, trapping them inside.

Jirōbō smirked. "This technique will drain your chakra until you can't move. You brats are finished!"

Chōji pounded on the walls. "Tch… It's solid!"

Naruto, however, cracked his knuckles. He had trained under Harry and Tsunade to control his immense amount of Chakra, and he had learned a thing or two about raw power.

He took a deep breath, gathering chakra into his fists just like Tsunade had taught him.

With perfect control over a low-Kage level amount of chakra, he launched a punch forward—

BOOOOOOOM!

The entire rock dome exploded into pieces!

Jirōbō's jaw dropped open in shock.

"Wha—"

Before he could react, Naruto smirked at him.

"That technique was Granny Tsunade's," he said, shaking his hand. "And you know what? I think I'm getting the hang of it."

Shikamaru blinked. "Troublesome… but damn impressive."

Chōji stepped forward, cracking his knuckles.

"Naruto, leave this guy to me," Chōji said with a serious look.

Naruto nodded. "Kick his ass, Chōji!"

As the team split off to pursue the Sound 4, The situation was getting real tense.

The Konoha retrieval team moved swiftly through the dense forest, their bodies barely making a sound as they leaped from branch to branch. They had left Chōji behind to deal with Jirōbō, but there was no time to look back—Sasuke was getting away.

Ahead of them, the remaining Sound Four carried Sasuke's barrel, pushing their pace.

"We're running out of time," Shikamaru thought grimly.

Just then—

"There they are!" Naruto shouted, pointing ahead.

The Sound Four skidded to a stop, turning with smirks on their faces.

"Persistent brats," Tayuya sneered. "Fine, you wanna die so badly?"

Neji stepped forward, activating his Byakugan. "We'll see about that."

The six-armed spider-nin cracked his neck, eyeing Neji with an arrogant grin. "A Hyūga, huh? Well, this'll be fun."

Neji remained calm, slipping into his Gentle Fist stance.

The battle began with Kidōmaru shooting webs in rapid succession. Neji dodged effortlessly, striking the air and releasing chakra waves to cut through the sticky material.

"Tch," Kidōmaru muttered, backing up into the trees. He needed distance to fully utilize his sniping techniques.

Neji, realizing the shift in battle tactics, narrowed his eyes. He's planning something.

But he had no choice—he had to stay and fight.

"Go on," he said to his teammates. "I'll handle this."

Naruto gave him a nod. "Kick his ass, Neji!"

With that, the team pressed forward.

As they rushed ahead, the two-headed opponent Sakon and Ukon leaped down in front of them.

Kiba skidded to a halt, baring his fangs. "Naruto, Shikamaru, go on! I've got this one!"

Sakon smirked. "Oh? You think you can take both of me on?"

Kiba cracked his knuckles. "I don't think, I know."

Akamaru barked in agreement.

As Naruto and Shikamaru sped past, the battle began.

Shikamaru barely had time to react before Tayuya jumped down in front of him, her flute already at her lips.

"You think you're some kind of genius, huh?" she taunted. "Let's see how smart you are when my demons rip you apart."

Shikamaru sighed, rubbing his temples. "Man… what a drag."

He glanced back at Naruto. "Go. I'll handle her."

Naruto nodded. "Don't die, Shikamaru."

Shikamaru smirked. "Not part of the plan."

As Naruto sped forward, the sound of demonic flute music echoed through the trees.

Naruto finally caught up to the last member of the Sound Four—or rather, the one who had taken over for them.

Kimimaro stood calmly, his hand resting on the barrel that carried Sasuke.

"You're in my way," Naruto growled.

Kimimaro's cold green eyes met Naruto's. "I won't allow you to interfere with Lord Orochimaru's plans."

Without hesitation, Naruto charged forward.

Kimimaro drew a bone sword from his shoulder and blocked Naruto's punch. Sparks flew.

Naruto gritted his teeth. Tch. His bones are too tough… I need another way to break through!

The fight continued, a blurry exchange of speed and strength.

Naruto was faster. His training had made him a far superior fighter than before.

But Kimimaro's curse-marked durability and bone projectiles kept him at bay.

Naruto's clones were instantly destroyed by the sharp projectiles.

He had power. He had speed.

But he needed a better strategy.

"Think, Naruto… how would Harry handle this?"

Then it hit him.

Kimimaro lunged forward with a bone spear, but Naruto flipped over him, landing gracefully.

He grinned. "Alright, bone guy, let's see how you handle this!"

He jumped back, concealing his hands behind his back.

Kimimaro narrowed his eyes. "Running away already?"

Naruto smirked. "Not exactly."

Unseen to Kimimaro, Naruto was molding chakra threads into the Rasengan, inspired by Kankurō's puppet techniques.

Then—he whipped his hands forward.

Two whirling Rasengan orbs shot forward, connected to his hands by chakra threads.

Kimimaro's eyes widened.

The spinning orbs sliced through the air, moving like deadly yo-yos.

Before he could react—

SHRRKKKK!

Naruto's attack severed both of Kimimaro's arms at the shoulders.

Blood splattered onto the ground.

Kimimaro stumbled back, shock flickering across his usually emotionless face.

Naruto landed with a grin. "Hah! Guess that worked!"

Sasuke's coffin broke open.

Kimimaro turned. His true mission was complete.

Sasuke awoke, his body now pulsing with the Curse Mark's second stage.

Then, without a word—he ran.

Naruto's eyes widened.

"Sasuke!"

He tried to chase, but—

Kimimaro stepped forward. "You will not—"

WHAM!

A blur of green slammed into Kimimaro, sending him flying.

Naruto turned.

"Bushy Brows!"

Rock Lee landed gracefully, standing in front of Naruto.

"I shall handle this!" Lee declared. "Go after Sasuke!"

Naruto hesitated.

Lee pulled out a bottle and took a sip.

Naruto's eyes widened. "Wait… is that—"

Lee swayed, his movements suddenly erratic.

Kimimaro narrowed his eyes. "…Drunken Fist?"

Lee grinned drunkenly.

Naruto grinned back.

"Alright, I'll leave him to you!"

With that, Naruto flashed away, chasing after Sasuke.

Kimimaro tried to strike, but—

Lee weaved around him effortlessly, dodging like a leaf in the wind.

Kimimaro scowled. "Tch… unpredictable."

Lee smirked as he swayed drunkenly. "I am no longer bound by logic!"

Then, he attacked.

Drunken Fist completely overwhelmed Kimimaro, forcing him to retreat.

But in a final act of desperation, Kimimaro activated his strongest technique—

"Dance of the Seedling Fern!"

An entire forest of deadly bones erupted from the ground.

Lee's eyes widened. There's no way out…!

But then—sand wrapped around him.

Lee gasped as he was lifted into the air just before the bones could impale him.

He turned his head.

Standing on a floating platform of sand was—

Gaara.

The red-haired Kazekage-in-training looked down at Lee.

"…Sorry," Gaara murmured. "For the Chūnin Exams."

Lee's eyes widened.

Then, he smiled.

Naruto finally caught up.

Sasuke stood at the Valley of the End, facing the massive statues of Hashirama and Madara.

Naruto skidded to a stop, breathing heavily.

"Sasuke!"

Sasuke slowly turned, his eyes gleaming with his new dark power.

"I figured you'd come," he muttered.

Naruto clenched his fists. "Come back with me, bastard!"

Sasuke smirked. "Make me."

Naruto's knuckles cracked. "Fine. I will!"

The air grew thick with tension.

Then, with one last smirk, Sasuke lifted his head.

"Bring it on."
