Chapter 100: Arrival in Soul Society
The group's journey through the Dangai was supposed to be straightforward. Kisuke had calibrated the portal, adjusted the timing, and given them all a rundown of what to expect. What he hadn't mentioned was the Cleaner—a massive, unavoidable force of nature that swept through the Dangai, obliterating anything in its path.
"RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!" Yoruichi yelled, bolting ahead as the gigantic vortex of energy loomed behind them.
Ichigo sprinted as fast as he could, his lungs burning. "Why didn't anyone warn us about this?!"
Harry, running effortlessly alongside them, had a broad grin plastered on his face. "What's the matter, Ichigo? Out of breath already? I thought you were supposed to be a Soul Reaper prodigy!"
"Shut up, Harry!" Ichigo snapped, huffing.
Chad, Orihime, Uryu, and Yoruichi were doing their best to keep up, though the panic in their expressions was clear. The Cleaner roared behind them, an unrelenting wave of destruction.
"Stop having fun, Harry!" Yoruichi barked, her tone sharp.
Harry merely laughed, slowing down enough to run circles around the group. He occasionally darted behind them, pretending to "push" the Cleaner closer just to hear their frantic protests.
"Move those legs! It's cardio day!" he teased, dodging an attempted slap from Yoruichi.
When the exit gate appeared, the group poured out of the Dangai like water through a broken dam. Unfortunately, their less-than-graceful exit left them in a tangled pile of limbs.
"GET OFF ME, ICHIGO!" Uryu shouted, his glasses askew.
"I can't! Chad's on top of me!" Ichigo groaned.
Orihime flailed, trying to wiggle free, while Yoruichi sat calmly on the top of the heap, smirking.
Harry, standing a few feet away and completely untouched, doubled over laughing. He clutched his sides, tears forming in his eyes. "Oh, that...that was beautiful. Absolutely perfect!"
The group glared at him as they disentangled themselves, though Orihime couldn't help but giggle softly.
"Can we please never do that again?" Uryu muttered, straightening his clothes.
"No promises," Harry said, wiping his eyes. "But I'll treasure this memory forever."
Once they had composed themselves, the group approached the massive gates of the Seireitei. Standing in front of it was Jidanbo, a towering, muscular man wielding two enormous axes.
"No one enters the Seireitei without my permission!" Jidanbo bellowed, his voice echoing like thunder.
Ichigo stepped forward, cracking his knuckles. "Fine. I'll take you on."
The battle was brief. Ichigo, fueled by determination and still a little embarrassment from the Dangai fiasco, moved with precision. He dodged Jidanbo's slow, heavy swings and delivered a single, well-placed strike that sent the giant tumbling.
Jidanbo, stunned, sat on the ground rubbing his head. "You're strong, kid. You've earned the right to enter."
With a grunt, Jidanbo lifted the massive gate, revealing the path to the Seireitei.
As the gate began to rise, a shadow appeared. Gin Ichimaru stepped into view, his sly smile as unsettling as ever.
"Well, well. What do we have here?" Gin said, his voice dripping with mockery. "Jidanbo, letting intruders in? That's a punishable offense, you know."
Jidanbo's face paled as Gin drew his Zanpakuto. "Shinsō."
The blade shot forward, its length extending at blinding speed.
Ichigo moved to intercept, but Harry beat him to it. In an instant, Harry was in front of Jidanbo, casually swatting the blade away with his bare hand.
"Not today, snake eyes," Harry said, his tone cold. Before Gin could react, Harry's fist connected with his chest, sending him flying with such force that he disappeared into the horizon, leaving only a faint twinkle in the sky.
The gate, however, slammed shut under the weight of Jidanbo's shock and fear.
"Well, that's inconvenient," Yoruichi said, crossing her arms. "Looks like we'll need to try Kukaku's place after all."
Ichigo, still processing what had happened, turned to Harry. "Did you just punch him into orbit?"
Harry shrugged. "I held back. He'll survive."
Far away, Gin crashed into the captain's meeting chambers, landing unceremoniously in the middle of the room.
The captains turned to look at him, their expressions a mix of confusion and disbelief.
"Gin," Yamamoto said, his voice heavy with authority. "Explain yourself."
Gin, brushing off his robes and trying to maintain his composure, gave a wry smile. "Well...it seems we've got some rather interesting visitors."
Above the Soul Society, Squad Zero observed the events unfolding.
"Did you sense that?" one of them asked, their tone grave.
"Yes," another replied. "That man...his power feels like the Soul King's, but...controlled. It shouldn't be possible."
As they pondered, Harry stood below, grinning. "This is going to be fun," he muttered, following the group as they set off toward Kukaku's.
