Chapter 8: Mr. Weasley's Ambition
The adults' usual deceitful behavior certainly couldn't deceive Kyle, but it was not without gain. At least they scared Ron and Ginny beside them.
Especially Ron, who was quite interested in this topic when the topic came up. He listened with interest, hoping to accumulate some experience in advance for the start of next year's school.
But the further he listened, the uglier his face became.
Forget about Trolls, Ghosts, Hippogriffs, etc. Although it is outrageous, as long as you turn around and run away when the time comes, you should still have a chance of surviving. After all, the Professors at Hogwarts are not just decorations.
But what about the Dragon?
Even an adult Wizard may not survive encountering a x5-level Magical Creatures, let alone an eleven-year-old wizard. Ron was afraid that before the Professors finished reciting the Charms, he would have been blown to ashes by a sneeze.
What kind of school is this?
Ron was so disheartened that he even had the idea of running away from home. He didn't want to go to Hogwarts. He really didn't want to go. He just wanted to live.
Ginny, on the side, wasn't doing much better.
His face was pale and pale, and his originally beautiful red hair was much duller.
"What's wrong Ginny?"
Kyle, who was sitting opposite, saw this and asked with concern, "Why don't you eat? Are you feeling uncomfortable?"
"No, no."
Ginny obviously didn't want to admit that she was scared in front of her family. Seeing Kyle looking at her, she hurriedly shook her head and said, "I'm just full."
A nine-year-old girl doesn't have a big appetite, and with the fact that she ate half a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans before, Ginny had almost eaten by now.
She was about eighty percent full, just in a state where she could eat or not. However, the sudden topic of being sorted made her little appetite disappear.
"Well, that's a pity."
Kyle didn't think about it, he just stood up and calmly put the untouched Grilled Fish in front of Ginny onto his plate.
Grilled Fish is no different than other foods. Once the time goes by, the taste will be greatly reduced. That would be a pity. It is better for me to eat it.
It is also worth mentioning that Mrs. Weasley's skill at grilling fish is very good, which is a unique skill.
However, because she has to take care of a large family and picking fish bones is a troublesome task, Mrs. Weasley's craftsmanship can only be tasted during important festivals.
Of course, part of the reason is that the price of fish is relatively expensive in the Wizarding World.
But no matter what, Kyle has been greedy for a long time, and naturally, he can't watch this delicious food being wasted.
Ginny knew this too but didn't stop it.
She originally wanted to save the grilled fish for last, but after learning that she would face the Dragon in two years, how could she still be in the mood to eat so she could only look at Kyle with a distressed look on her face, who just stuffed her grilled fish into his mouth.
Finally, Ginny simply turned his head and turned his head out of Kyle.
At the same time, Fred and George, next to them, also sighed in unison.
They also stared at the Grilled Fish for a long time, but Kyle's movements were too fast, and they didn't even have a chance to make a move.
The unwilling Twins turned their attention to Ron.
Unfortunately, Ron didn't have Ginny's habits. His Grilled Fish had long been turned into bones, and it was so clean that the Flobberworm could slip when he stood on it.
"What's wrong with you Ron, are you afraid of the Dragon?" Fred squinted his eyes, concealing his true intentions. At the same time, he rarely cared about Ron's state at this time, patted his shoulder affectionately and comforted him. "Don't worry, the fire dragon only lasts for one year. It should be replaced by another magical animal when you enter school."
"I think they are Spiders." George immediately added. "I have seen them in the Forbidden Forest. They are all about the big size. Maybe they were prepared by Hagrid for the sorting ceremony."
"No!"
Ron's whole body felt bad, and the panic in his eyes began to surge rapidly. He instinctively threw away the tableware and ran back to the Burrow screaming.
It was obvious that Ron was really frightened, and he didn't even notice how wickedly the twins laughed when he ran away.
But twins are not entirely without cost.
"George, why did you appear in the Forbidden Forest?"
Mrs. Weasley keenly discovered the key to the problem and looked at the twins with a severe face. "I don't remember Hogwarts allowing first years to go to the Forbidden Forest."
"Mom, I can explain..."
Fred and George tried to run away, but as they were just in second grade, they were obviously no match for Mrs. Weasley and were quickly caught.
Then came the familiar scene of a loving mother and a filial son.
Although this scene has been performed countless times in the past eleven years, Kyle still watched it with enthusiasm, and his appetite improved a lot.
The twins had been to the Forbidden Forest. Kyle didn't doubt it, but the Spider thing was probably made up to scare Ron. Still, he didn't expect it to happen accidentally.
After all, the Acromantula in the Forbidden Forest is not a harmless little cute thing. If the two of them really met, they would probably have settled in the Forbidden Forest by now.
Kyle remembered that the Acromantula's nest was still deep in the Forbidden Forest, and Fred and George couldn't run that far yet.
The twins are not called Harry Potter. They just like playing pranks, not seeking death.
After another twenty minutes or so, the dinner was almost over. Although there were a few hiccups in the process, it was still a great time for the guests and the host.
At least Kyle was happy.
After briefly clearing the table, Percy went upstairs to review his homework.
Ron, who was trying to run away from home with a small baggage on his back, was caught red-handed. At this moment, taking the place of the twins, he was being chased around the yard by Mrs. Weasley.
Mr. Weasley and Chris changed places and continued chatting.
"Chris, what you just acted was too exaggerated."
In the Burrow, Mr. Weasley said regretfully. "It's just a branch, how can there be a Dragon? Little Kyle is so smart, he must know that we are lying to him."
"No Arthur, you are wrong. In fact, this plan was destined to be impossible to succeed from the beginning."
Chris shook his head and said helplessly. "Kyle has been staying with Mr. Scamander for at least two months every year since he was three years old. Do you think he would be afraid of Trolls and Hippogriffs?"?
"Also, Arthur, did you forget that Kyle's last name is also Chopper."
"Um..." Mr. Weasley was stunned for a moment, scratched his head in embarrassment and said. "You mean, like you, Kyle can communicate with Magical Creatures?"
"Of course." Chris nodded and said. "So it's impossible for him to be afraid of the Hippogriff. It is estimated that only the Dragon can make him feel nervous."
Mr. Weasley glanced at Chris and said with some envy. "What a Magical ability. It would be great if I could also communicate with those Muggle items."
"???"
Chris was speechless for a moment and laughed dryly. "Actually, it's not as exaggerated as you think. This talent is only limited to Magical Creatures, not ordinary Creatures like mice, toads, and owls. You can only rely on experience to guess their meaning."
Chris's meaning was obvious, even if Mr. Weasley used some weird Magic to change his surname to Chopper one day. Then he can only say a few words to things like floo fans or golden snitches.
As for bread machines or cars... give up, it's impossible, don't even think about it!
