Chapter 6: Before School Starts
In the following days, Kyle lived a very fulfilling life, staying in his room every day to try out various Spells.
Although he came from a wizard family, he had few opportunities to cast magic before entering school.
First of all, for both Chris and Diana, the wand was extremely important to them. It was not an exaggeration to say that it was their second life, so they definitely could not just throw it to Kyle to play with.
Only on Christmas every year and Kyle's birthday would he be allowed to play with it.
Of course, Kyle also knew the importance of the Spells, and he cast Spells such as Light-creation spells or Unlocking Charm, which had no side effects on the wand even if they failed.
Another point was the matching degree of the wand.
Even though he was the son of Chris and Diana, their wands did not give Kyle any face, and the feeling of resistance was very obvious.
Especially Diana's wand, in Kyle's hand, was no different from an ordinary stick, and no matter how much he chanted, he could not get any response.
So Kyle spent most of his time dealing with Quidditch, Herbs, and Magical Creatures and rarely came into contact with Spells.
After waiting for eleven years, Kyle finally has his own wand, so he has to use it properly.
Chris did not object to this, and he would occasionally give some instructions with great interest, satisfying his addiction to being a teacher.
Therefore, different Spells were flashing in Kyle's room almost every moment.
It was okay a few days ago, Kyle practiced some basic Spells and did not affect others.
But as time went on, Kyle mastered more and more Spells, and problems began to arise.
…
On the dining table in the living room, Chris, who was drinking black tea, watched the teacup placed opposite him suddenly leave the table and slowly float upstairs.
However, Chris seemed to have been accustomed to this for a long time. He calmly pressed the teacup back on the table and tapped it lightly with his wand.
After doing all this, he raised his head and shouted, "Kyle, when you recite the Levitation Charm, you must determine the target in your mind. In addition, I suggest you start by a quill pen, or parchment, at least they will not break when they fall."
"Okay, Dad."
Kyle responded, but Chris didn't know whether he heard it or not. He thought it was highly unlikely.
After all, a situation like today has happened several times. He has recited more Mending Charm on this day than in the past ten years. For this reason, he had to cast the Anti-Levitation Charm on every fragile item in the house.
"Swoosh..."
Just thinking about it, a piece of bread flew over his head quickly and then "slapped" it to the ceiling.
"..."
It must be admitted that from the effect alone, Kyle's progress is still great. At least the speed of the Levitation Charm this time is much faster than the last time.
Chris sighed, waved his wand calmly, and sent the bread back to the kitchen. He also sighed in his heart for Diana's wisdom and foresight.
Thanks to her for confiscating Kyle's Cauldron on the first day. Otherwise, who knows what this family would become?
Eleven-year-old wizards are indeed famous for being hated by people and dogs. This is the case with Weasley next door, and his family is no exception.
Fortunately, this kind of day is about to end, and Hogwarts will start school tomorrow.
This is really good news!
Chris picked up the black tea and drank it with a comfortable look.
...
Time quickly came to the evening.
Diana did not come back because she had a mission.
Chris, who knew nothing about cooking, gladly accepted Mrs. Weasley's invitation and brought Kyle and some processed ingredients to the nearby Burrow for a meal.
His behavior, as expected, caused dissatisfaction from Mrs. Weasley, who thought that it was wrong for him to bring food when visiting and that it was a sign of distrust in the friendship between the two parties, and she scolded him.
Chris did not refute but threw the things in his hand into the kitchen and agreed with a smile.
As for Kyle, he had naturally mixed with the Weasley children.
He was no longer surprised by this scene.
There were no elves in their family, so whenever Diana had a mission and could not come back, the two of them would come to the Weasleys for a meal.
And this scene would be staged every time they came, and it was a fixed program.
In the open space not far away, Kyle was helping to clean up the gnomes with several Weasleys.
It was called cleaning, but in fact, they were just playing.
One person grabs the legs of the gnomes and throws them into the air, while the other person holds a bat and hits the gnomes like a bludger. The one who hits the gnomes the farthest is the winner of the game and can get the first prize, a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans.
At first, Chris did not support their game, thinking that it was enough to throw the gnomes out and that there was no need to use a bat.
Until one day, he found that the cloak grass that he had cultivated for a year and was about to mature was dug up by these gnomes, and he never stopped Kyle again.
Even a few days later, on Christmas, he gave Kyle a well-made bat with the signature of the Batsman of the Wimbourne Wasps.
The bat is very easy to use and feels great when hitting. So far, it has helped Kyle win five championships in a row.
Today is no exception.
"This is unfair."
Looking at Kyle's autographed bat and the bat he picked up, Ron said bitterly, "The equipment gap is too big."
"It's not that exaggerated. Equipment is secondary. The important thing is to have the belief in victory. I can win not because my equipment is good, but because I want to win more than you."
Kyle said calmly, picked up a red bean and threw it over. "Also, Ron, before you complain about the equipment, at least you have to beat Ginny. The bat she uses is much smaller than yours."
Five people are participating in the game. Ron is the last one, and even Ginny's score is several meters farther than his.
After Kyle finished speaking, Ron's face turned red. It is indeed not a glorious thing to lose to his sister in this regard.
But his attention was soon attracted by the Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans thrown by Kyle.
Bright red, it looks very beautiful, and the taste is... Raspberry!
Sure enough, the Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans Kyle gave him were never bad.
The sweet feeling in his mouth made Ron squint his eyes unconsciously, and at the same time, he couldn't help but feel a little envious. Ron really doesn't know how Kyle did it. He could always pick out the best Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans.
He couldn't do that. Every time, it was either pork liver or spinach, and he even tasted dragon dung.
The smell of rotten berries mixed with the fishy smell was simply unbeatable. Ron felt his stomach churning whenever he thought of it.
