Harry Potter: I'm an Exemplary Student

Chapter 20: Failed Prank

After sitting down at the Hufflepuff table, Kyle felt inexplicably relaxed.

Before the sorting, he always felt uneasy. Still, now that everything was settled, he finally became a true member of Hogwarts.

This feels great.

Kyle leaned on the dining table, supporting his chin with his left hand, leisurely watching the next sorting situation and waiting for the dinner to start.

Because of the extremely long sorting just now, many people in the Great Hall were looking at Kyle curiously.

Many of the witches looked at Kyle and Cedric, who were sitting together, talking and laughing. Then they turned to look at the classmates beside them, almost breaking each one's back molars.

Damn it, why are all the handsome ones going to Hufflepuff? It's not fair!

At the Gryffindor table, Fred and George also almost broke their molars.

"Why did Kyle go to Hufflepuff?!" Fred thumped his thigh in annoyance. "In this case, our carefully prepared welcome ceremony will be useless!"

"Stop it Fred, please give me a break first." George scratched his head on the side. "To be honest, I can accept it even if Kyle goes to Slytherin, but Hufflepuff... How is this possible?"

"Yes!" Fred nodded: "Kyle is loyal? Kind? Is the Sorting Hat an old fool?"

Just when Fred and George fell silent at the same time, a freshman who had just been assigned to Gryffindor happened to sit on the empty seat next to them.

The next second...

"Ouch!"

The screams echoed through the Great Hall, immediately attracting everyone's attention.

The new Gryffindor student jumped up more than three feet in the air like a frightened frog and then started running around holding his butt.

Running and wailing at the same time.

Only then did everyone see clearly that there was something round hanging behind him.

It was about the same size as a Bludger in Quidditch, and a big mouth full of fangs was biting the freshman's butt.

"Wait, that ball looks familiar." Fred, who was watching the show, seemed to remember something suddenly and turned around and said. "George, didn't you put away the Biting Ball?"

George was stunned for a moment. "No, I thought you had already do it."

The two looked at each other and then looked at a position on the left at the same time, where the freshman was sitting just now.

Empty, no doubt.

"Oh, damn." Fred scratched his hair with a distressed look on his face. "That's all our savings."

The biting ball is a new prop that Fred and George bought from Zonko's Joke Shop at a high price. It can be disguised as an ordinary cushion and placed anywhere.

It's just a bit expensive, requiring three Galleons, which is no small sum of money for Fred and George.

But when they thought that Kyle would be sorted into Hospital Wing today, they gritted their teeth. They spent all their savings to buy it, preparing to give their junior an unforgettable surprise.

In order not to discover any clues, they deliberately arranged everything in advance when Kyle put on the Sorting Hat and placed the cushion on an empty seat next to him.

In this way, if Kyle is assigned to Gryffindor, they can naturally lead him into a trap position.

It doesn't matter even if you are assigned to another House. It's just a cushion, and you can take it back easily.

Everything is so perfect.

It's a pity that there is never a perfect plan. They never expected that Kyle would be assigned to Hufflepuff, which they thought was the most unlikely. The two of them were also shocked and did not get the "cushion" back immediately.

As a result, this scene happened.

"Fred, do you think we can still get that Biting Ball back?" George looked at the freshman's back, his heart dripping with blood.

That's three Galleons. If I had bought a whole box of Dungbombs, how could he not feel bad?

Fred looked at Professor McGonagall, who was walking towards the new students and said helplessly. "I think we won't be able to get it back."

After saying that, they both sighed.

On the other side, Professor McGonagall arrived on the new student's side. She first took off the biting ball and then checked the little wizard's condition.

There were no injuries, no signs of damage on the robes, and a standard magic trick.

Seeing the familiar techniques and tools, Professor McGonagall immediately identified the culprit without even thinking about it and immediately turned around and glared at the twins.

However, because the sorting was not over yet, she couldn't say much. After saying 'Twenty points from Gryffindor', she turned and returned to the stage.

The new student was also frightened. After being brought back by Percy, he carefully checked it three times. He sat back at the dining table only after he was sure that there was nothing wrong.

Not far away, Kyle looked at Fred and George, frowning without concealing his ridicule, and slowly extended a middle finger to them.

Kyle dared to swear on Ron's integrity that the Biting Ball just now was 100% prepared for him by these two guys.

Now that Professor McGonagall has discovered it, it can only be said that evil will be punished.

"George, Kyle is too arrogant." Fred's face turned red with anger.

Others didn't know what that gesture meant, but he did.

In the past eleven years, whenever Kyle taunted them, he would extend his middle finger, so he knew exactly what Kyle meant just now.

"Don't worry, Fred. As long as Kyle is still in Hogwarts, we still have a chance."

Like Fred, George was also very angry. His ears even turned red.

But the problem is that they really can't do anything to Kyle now, and they dare not make trouble under Professor McGonagall's death gaze. They can only give Kyle a middle finger in revenge.

Out of sight, out of mind.

The two temporarily suppressed their desire for revenge. They turned their heads at the same time, trying not to look at Kyle's irritating face.

And facing their actions, Kyle didn't care.

It was just the last resistance of the two red-haired losers, so he didn't take it to heart.

And Kyle also knew that Fred and George would definitely not let it go. Maybe they were discussing how to get back at this moment.

But so what?

In the past eleven years, he had almost never lost the war between him and the Weasley twins.

The few times he lost were because Kyle was too young at that time, and Charlie's shameless bullying allowed them to win back a victory.

Now Charlie is already very busy with graduation exams and Quidditch, so he has no time to care about them.

Without Charlie, who can the twins find as a backer?

Ron?

If that's the case, it will be easier to deal with them.

So, with the brilliant record, Kyle is fearless.
