Harry Potter and the son of Morgana LeFay

Chapter 5: Ch:5 Shopping

While Orion marveled at the sight of the crooked houses and stores Mordred also had his ,outh agape in pure shock.

"Welcome to diagon alley" McGonagall announced statisfied with their expressions of suprise. Unknown to McGonagall through, Mordred was absolutely dissapointed.

"I didn't expect much but they can't even build their houses straight!" he whispered to Orion "and this magic they use is nothing more than tricks to amuse kids. Are we really in the future?"

Orion also silently admitted that he was right. Due to the several laws of the ministry magic, a lot of knowlege was strictly regulated, forgotten or in the hands of pureblood lords who can't wield this power with their pitfull magic from incest marriages.

"First we'll go to Gringotts, the wizarding bank" McGonagall said and walked through the croud towards the white building next to the entrance to Knockturn alley.

'I will definetly check this out' Orion thought with a glance towards Knockturn alley.

They entered Gringotts and moved to a teller.

The goblin looked up from his work "how can I help?" he asked.

"We would like to get the muggleborn loan of 50 galleons for both of them" McGonagall said.

The goblin looked like he had bitten into a sour apple and said "of course" and gave 100 galleons for them to spend.

Soon after they moved to the various stores to purchase the things mentioned on the list.

"Alright, we won't be needing an inkpot or the quills and we can get the books for cheaper if we buy used ones..." Orion said to Mordred who quickly nodded.

"Hold on young man, the quills and the inkpot are neccesairy" McGonagall said.

"I refuse to buy this trash with my money" Orion stated confidently. He already had writing equipment from his muggle school and they were worlds better.

He was very proud of his black pen he enchanted to hold around a liter of ink inside a small subspace. The inside of the subspace was linked to the pen and would worklike any normal pen only with a lot of ink that would last for years.

"But you need something to write..." McGonagall started.

"Don't worry we have writing utensils from muggle school we won't need new ones" Orion said.

"You can't bring your muggle things into school, it is mandatory that all stude ts use quills and ink" McGonagall said in a strict voice "this isn't negotiable" she continued as soon as she saw Orion open his mouth again.

"Good then let's return the money and we will attend Beauxbatons...we can speak french anyways" Orion said and marched towards Gringotts "If the rules are already like that I doubt the school will have anything to teach us".

McGonagall rubbed her temples. These two were equally troublesome like some other pair of twins she knew only without a speck of humor.

"Fine, you won't need to buy the quills and inkpot" she grumbled.

"Good now then let's begin" Orion said cheerfully.

They bought almost all the neccesairy things on the list and a few additional books for Orion on Laws of the ministry and pureblood traditions.

"You won't be needing those" McGonagall said and Orion just looked at her like she was the dumbest person he had ever encountered.

"Sigh, just do what you want" McGonagall surrendered.

She knew that Orion wasn't kidding when he said he would join another school over Hogwarts. How would she explain this to Dumbledore that a student refused to attend their school because of the rules?

She had long surrendered as she watched Orion raid the whole bookstore.

'Definetly a rawenclaw' she thought with a smile while Mordred just waited beside her looking extremly bored.

"Okay I'm finished" Orion thought with a stack of law, wizard tradition books and and a few others.

"Finally!" Mordred said and pushed him outside the bookstore before he could change his mind.

The last thing they were missing was the wand so they swiftly moved to the store of Ollivanders.

The store was incredibly dusty and Orion wondered if this was intentional to appear more mysterious. A simple cleaning charm would solve the issue.

"Ahhhh new customers...I'll be there in a second" he said and pushed a stack of wandcases inside the shelf.

After that he come over to them and wouldn't stop talking. The man was like a waterfall of words.

What are your dominant hands?

They both answered "right" and a measure tape flew around them and measured their whole body.

Ollivander then looked like he had an idea and took out a wandcase from the shelf and presented it to Orion.

"Try this one" he said and gave him a very ordinary wand.

"If I use this it will explode" Orion just said and looked at Ollivander.

"Just go ahead you never know" Ollivander said and regretted immediately when the wand burst into splinters.

Ollivanders needed a moment to regain his senses and muttered "something more robust..." and gave him a sleek brown wand.

For the next 15 minutes small explosions were heard from Ollivanders. But with each explosion Ollivander seemed to grow more excited and happier.

He then gave him a wand from an unknown wood that looked like burnt wood. His Darkness element seemed to merge with it and tried to devour it. Like two magnets that tried to fuse.

Orion supressed his magic and stopped the fusion, he didn't need to let McGonagall see this.

Notheless the wand accepted him and wind rushed through his hair.

"Interesting...you see I honestly have no Idea what this wand is neither it's core or wood...but I am sure yoj will accomplish great feats with it" he said and moved over to Mordred.

After three explosions he brought a white wand and gave it to him.

"Dragon bone instead of wood and Heartstring as it's core...you were choosen by a very powerful wand young man. Use it with responsibility" Ollivander said and gave him the wand.

"Good anything else?" he asked.

"Two duelling wandholsters please" Orion said and used up all the money they had left.

"That would be 18 galleons then" he said and collected the money.

Orion and Mordred collected their wands with the wand holster and packed them on the small mountains of books they needed to transport. It wasn't hard to notice that Orion's books were more than Mordred so he struggled to carry all of them.

He was really tempted to let them dissapear in his heir ring but he didn't want to make Professor McGonagall suspicious of him.

McGonagall then took them back via apparition and gave them two tickets before departing and saying "you will find plattform 9 3/4 if you walk through the wall between plattform 9 and 10. I'll see you during the new school year".

With that she dissapeared with a silent pop and left Orion and Mordred in the front of the orphange. Orion put his whole trunk and books inside his ring without any hesitation and stopped to supress his magic.

Immediately the wand was sucked into his hand and merged with his magic.

It merged with the katana and changed it's form fom a traditional katana to something smaller. It now looked more straight and a bit shorter. Orion personally prefered this form because althrough katanas were cool, they are too long. He also felt that he could change the weapon to whatever he wished it to be. A dagger, an axe, a spear, a wand.... the possibilities were only limited by his imagination.

He willed his wand into his hand, then let it dissapear again. He then threw it away on the ground and willed it into his hand again.

The stick on the ground dissapeared in black smoke and reappeared inside his hand. Orion grinned. He really liked this thing.

Mordred just stared at him "how the hell are you doing that?".

"I devoured it...Jörmungandr bloodline remember?" Orion answered while pointing at himself.

"Amazing" Mordred admitted.

"Anyways let's go back" Orion said and walked into the orphange.
