Harem With Venom In Marvel/Dc

Chapter 48: Chapter 48: The Enemy

Outside Wayne Manor, Damian stood quietly beside Venom, her small frame appearing stiff.

In a short span of time, she had been abandoned by both of her biological parents. The fact that she neither cried nor threw a tantrum was a testament to a strength far beyond that of a child her age.

Her little face was tense, her eyes filled with both stubbornness and confusion, as if she was desperately suppressing the emotions within her. She stood like a small, silent statue—so still that it was heartbreaking.

Alfred's eyes reddened as he gazed at Damian, his heart heavy with sorrow. Behind him, the towering Wayne Manor stood solemnly, its ancient walls seeming to sigh in lament at the impending farewell.

Having served the Wayne family for decades, Alfred had come to see Bruce as his own son. And now, after finally having a granddaughter, she was to be sent away at such a young age.

Bruce clenched his fists tightly, his knuckles turning white from the pressure.

To say he didn't care for his daughter would be a lie. In the past five days, Batman had not once donned his cowl. Aside from the first two days spent buried in his work on the serum formula, the rest of his time had been dedicated to Damian.

However, Gotham was a dark and decayed city, a place filled with danger and chaos—entirely unsuitable for a child's growth. He took a deep breath, trying to steady his emotions.

Kino had sent ten shipping containers to hell and couldn't help but marvel at Bruce's meticulous planning. Every aspect of Damian's future had been accounted for, from transportation to even the smallest accessories—nothing was overlooked.

Looking at Bruce's awkward expression, Kino chuckled."Bruce, why do you look like that? Do you think I won't bring your daughter back someday?"

Bruce frowned, his expression filled with doubt. "You can travel between worlds that easily?"

Kino shrugged. "As easy as taking a few steps."

Bruce was momentarily stunned, at a loss for words.

He had prepared himself for a lifetime of separation, even instructing Alfred to be cold toward Damian, severing emotional ties to prevent her from longing for them—or resenting Kino.

But Alfred ignored his orders. Taking a few steps forward, he knelt in front of Damian and spoke gently,

"Miss Damian, when you get there, be good and listen. Don't be mischievous. If you're ever wronged, be sure to tell Mr. Kino.

Remember to eat on time, get plenty of rest, and wear warm clothes when it's cold. Don't catch a cold.

And don't neglect your studies. Even if your environment changes, knowledge is the most valuable treasure. Also, don't shoulder everything on your own. If you face difficulties, seek help. People will like you."

Damian looked at Alfred, confusion in her eyes.

She hadn't had to train these past few days, nor had she been injured. She didn't have to drink those awful nutrient concoctions anymore, and she could even eat sweet little cakes every day.

Her father, though cold on the surface, read her bedtime stories every night and took her out during the day.

"Why are you abandoning me? Is it because I'm too weak?" Damian's voice trembled. "Was that why Mother abandoned me too?"

Her small fists clenched tightly, her eyes welling up with tears as she fought to keep them from falling.

"Miss Damian…"

Alfred's tears slipped down his wrinkled face.

Bruce froze, his lips trembling as he tried to speak, but no words came out.

Kino sighed and nudged Bruce forward.

"I'm only responsible for looking after her. Don't expect me to give her fatherly love—I'm still just a kid myself."

Bruce took a deep breath and knelt down, meeting Damian's eyes. His voice was hoarse as he spoke,

"Damian, it's not because you're weak, and I'm not abandoning you. I love you—I love you very much. But this world is full of danger, and I can't always protect you.

By entrusting you to Uncle Kino, I'm ensuring that you grow up in a safer place, away from the darkness and conflicts here. I'll always think of you. When things are better, I'll come for you."

Kino, seeing the moment unfold, quickly took out his phone and recorded it, his face carrying a mischievous grin.

"This is one of Batman's rare vulnerable moments—I have to save this for the memories."

Venom rolled its eyes and returned to Kino's body. The human child was hers now; there was no need to rush.

"Father…"

Damian was momentarily stunned by Bruce's words before she reached out and wrapped her arms around him, burying her small head in his chest.

Once Damian had calmed down, Kino spoke."Alright, let's go."

He picked up Damian and held her in the crook of his arm.

Bruce fixed Kino with a piercing gaze. "Kino, who is the enemy?"

Kino narrowed his eyes. "Are you sure you want to know? The truth might leave you in despair."

Bruce was silent for a moment before speaking with unwavering determination, "I am Batman."

Kino sighed, pulling out a Mind Ring. "Then drop your resistance. This isn't something I can say outright."

Bruce immediately recognized it as the ring that had controlled him last time. A trace of caution flickered in his eyes, but he still allowed his mind to relax.

In an instant, an overwhelming flood of information surged into Bruce's consciousness.

Visions of the Dark Knights, the mysterious and powerful X-Metal, the hidden Court of Owls lurking in the shadows… and at the root of Gotham's evil—Barbatos!

Kino had transmitted the entire Dark Nights: Metal event directly into Bruce's mind.

It took Bruce a long moment before he slowly opened his eyes, his face pale. He took the handkerchief Alfred handed him and wiped the blood trickling from his nose.

"So this is my enemy."

"How do you feel?" Kino asked.

Bruce's gaze burned with fury. "I want to kill him."

Kino smirked. "A word of advice—treat this information as intelligence, not as an inevitable future. Otherwise, you'll die a miserable death."

Bruce nodded. "I know."

"Well, you're Batman, after all. See you."

As Kino ascended into the sky, Bruce watched him disappear before turning away, his mind still processing everything.

Back in the Batcave, he sat at his desk, surrounded by files and equipment. Opening his computer, he began to draft a series of plans.

"Justice League Contingency Plan…" His fingers typed swiftly, adding new details to the document.

"Court of Owls Dismantling Plan…" Every word was laced with cold precision.

"Anti-Batman Plan…" A countermeasure for the Dark Knights.

"And… Anti-Kino Plan."

Recalling Kino's ability to replicate powers, Bruce's expression darkened with determination.

In the dim light of the Batcave, his shadow stretched against the walls—a massive, looming bat, ready to strike.
