Chapter 329: Abominations indeed
Lea didn't know what to say nor what to do. Her mind blanked out as she heard the words of Noah.
Her…? Kill her own husband? Kill the man she loved the most?
The very thought of doing that made her skin crawl in protest. She couldn't do that. She blinked, clearing her eyes in order to look at Noah.
But as she looked at his eyes, Lea was sure that this abomination would not even listen to her pleading, that this smiling monster would relish to see her beg on her knees only to discard her, to refuse her.
And even after knowing all of that, she still lowered her head until it touched the shattered floor beneath her. Her body quivering, her cheeks graced by a torrent of tears, as she parted her trembling lips.
"I-I… beg you." She pleaded.
Her voice was low, weak, broken. It was filled with deep crunching pain, that can make most men feel bad about seeing her in this state, especially looking at her beautiful figure.
But Noah just stared at her, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
He didn't respond.
He just extended her the sword, his answer clear.
You would kill him, there was no other way.
Neron amidst all this, just stared at this scene, at his lover being humiliated and he couldn't do anything about it. A deep self-loathing feeling pierced his soul, as his eyes reddened and blood started to trickle down… tears of blood.
Green blood of the Worldborn.
At that moment, he attempted to secretly activate his link with Mother Tree, Luelle but found himself unable to do so.
"Don't try, you are in my domain. Nothing would happen except I will it." Noah suddenly said, answering the question Neron was about to wonder.
That's when he noticed a thin white-silver film of light covering his whole body like a cloak.
His mind froze.
Since when was this a domain? How was this possible to compress a domain in this way?
Neron's mind was bombarded by questions he didn't have a response to. And added to that with his connection to his Mother Tree severed, despair finally overcame his mind as his bloody tears flowed faster and heavier, transforming the ground beneath him into a puddle of green sticky water.
Hearing her husband's breakdown, Lea became even more helpless. But she didn't abandon.
She just couldn't.
She didn't want to lose her husband, she didn't want to lose the life they were living.
And for that… for that she was ready to do everything she could.
She bowed even more, looking like she wanted to bury her head on the ground, and spoke: "A-anything… anything except killing him. I would do anything. I swear. I swear." She whimpered, she begged, she pleaded.
Noah paused, his smile widened like a devil, causing Aurelia behind him to shudder in elation while unconsciously rubbing her two thighs against each other.
"Anything you say?" Noah repeated.
Lea's eyes lit up in hope as Noah finally answered. And like a person trapping in darkness for eons, and now who has a chance to taste the light.
She jumped in without thinking, without pausing… without any hesitation.
"Y-Yes! Anything! Anything!" She said rapidly while nodding her head like a chicken pecking at its food on the ground.
"Then swear on it. Swear on it on The Records." Noah's voice was calm, sweet and inviting like the whisper of the devil convincing you to sin.
Once again, Lea jumped straight in.
She nodded, her eyes wide in both fear and now a budding hope. "I swear it on The Records, I will do anything for you except killing my husband." She swore.
And boundless, infinite presence swelled in the shredded room making them all feel a gaze on them.
A gaze that looked at Lea and Neron with indifference, with neutrality.
But once it went towards the three siblings it subtly changed, becoming more warm especially when it landed on Noah.
Aurelia clicked her tongue, feeling the favoritism.
Asaemon laughed, uncaring about all this.
Then the voice of The Records echoed,
{Lea, The Lady of Thorn, has swore to you, Noah Vaelgrim.}
They paused, then…
{She is yours to do as you please, except ordering her to kill her husband.}
{Your existence level has been enhanced.}
Then it disappeared, and the pressure dissipated like a mist.
Lea sensed something like chains binding her very being to Noah, unable to disobey him. She then looked at him, feeling a hope that now that she swore to him, he wouldn't continue this torture.
But…
Assuming this simply showed how much she didn't know Noah.
Noah was many things. He was an arrogant man, an insufferable one, a funny one, a pervert, a loving husband, an improving father, a god, a brother, a master… and also…
…a son.
But beyond all that, Noah was a petty and vengeful person.
He didn't forgive. He didn't forget.
And to get back at you, he didn't care about innocent people. It was like with the matter of Bari.
She was the only guilty one… but Noah involved all her loved ones in his wrath.
Yes, that was how he was.
That was… who he was.
A damn petty person.
And he didn't care.
So he opened his mouth again, looking at the hoping Lea, and spoke.
"Fine, I won't ask you to kill him…"
Her eyes brightened, as she was about to lower her head to thank him…
"…but, you could bring him to the brink of death, right?" Noah said with a sweet voice.
Silence fell.
Lea sluggishly raised her head again, looking at him with wide eyes. Eyes that reflected the shock she was feeling at that moment.
Neron wept even more.
Asaemon's laugh thundered through the whole realm, shaking it, causing the inhabitants to cry in fear as the sky above the realm was shredded by the claws of calamitous beast.
And Aurelia clenched her two legs tightly, as if avoiding something to slip down.
Honestly, these three looked like three bullies tormenting others for fun.
But… that's not exactly true.
Aurelia was watching this because of the feelings Noah evoked in her.
Asaemon was simply enjoying his brother's company.
Noah… Noah was doing this for revenge.
And that's why….
"Take it and go do what I said." He repeated.
With no being able to refuse, Lea took the weapon, went towards the weeping Neron, her eyes red with tears.
She took hold of his body, as he was on his chest, then shifted his position so that he lay on the ground on his back, causing him to grunt in pain, his eyes still bleeding green tears.
Lea took the sword with her two hands even though she was shaking, as if it were too heavy for her to carry. She raised it, pointed the tip of the sword directly above Neron's heart and while locking her eyes into his… silently and painfully drove forward the sword into his chest, crunching and tearing sound echoed through the space as she watched her own husband gurgling, choking under his own blood.
And…
She cried in agony.
She wept like a newborn baby, but even with all her tears, making her eyes puffy… she still continued to insert the sword, watching her own husband spasming.
All of that…
While three abominations were watching, calmly without much of emotions…
Abominations?
Yes, they were indeed abominations.
