Hallow Throne

Chapter 21: Lessons

Finally, the long-awaited day arrived, and they stood at the entrance of the dungeon, the clock striking 9 am. Roy, their leader, gathered everyone, saying, "Is everyone ready? We've spent three days practicing for this. Let's make this a success."

Iris chimed in, "Yeah," and Astrea added, "Yes, sir."

As they stepped into the dungeon, it was teeming with demonic beasts. Roy wasted no time, commanding, "Star magic, star conjunction!" Beams of brilliant light shot out from his star orbs. He continued, "Stay magic, star partizan!" One of his stars transformed into a partizan.

Astrea marveled, "That's a seriously cool weapon."

Iris contributed to the onslaught, shouting, "Mirror magic, reflective ray!" Her magic blasted from her, and she declared, "Holy relic prism staff!" Her staff unleashed destructive power, vanquishing numerous monsters.

Aoi joined in, saying, "Blade magic, blade dance!" It proved effective, as she engaged with the beasts.

Roy, however, let a few weaker beasts escape intentionally and instructed Astrea and Klaus to handle them. The two managed to deal with the creatures swiftly.

After dispatching all the beasts on the first floor, Astrea had not been able to defeat even one. Klaus grew concerned, asking, "Astrea, what's wrong? You used to be stronger."

Klaus attempted to take down a beast in one shot, but it retaliated with a magical attack, bringing him to his knees. Roy quickly intervened, killing the beast. He explained, "I let that strong demon escape on purpose to see how far you've come."

Klaus thought to himself, amazed by the beast's power, "That beast brought me to my knees with a single attack, yet Roy held his ground."

Iris questioned Roy, "Was it really necessary to test them, especially with that beast?"

Roy replied, "I wanted to see just how far they've come."

Astrea asked Klaus if he was okay, and he responded, "Mostly, yeah."

Lumos, the group's healer, offered assistance, saying, "Let me heal you; that's why I'm here."

Klaus accepted, saying, "Sure." After Lumos healed him, Klaus thanked him.

As they progressed to the second floor, they encountered even more monsters, all with stone and steel-based magic scales. Lumos remarked, "Well, that's a mess."

Roy took charge, declaring, "I've got it, you guys. No problem. Star magic, celestial partizan slash mode!" He swung the partizan, creating a series of small orbs that homed in on the enemies.

Astrea was astonished, exclaiming, "Whoa, that's new!"

Roy grinned, saying, "You've seen nothing yet. Partizan burst mode!" The blade part of the partizan opened up, and he continued, "Star magic, celestial partizan burst!" A massive star blast obliterated all the creatures on the second floor.

The floor was now filled with weapons, and Roy suggested to Astrea, "You should take a weapon; it helps control your magic."

Astrea agreed, saying, "Yes, sir."

Astrea and Klaus were both amazed by Roy's prowess and the versatility of his star magic.
