Seeing Kōrai Hoshiumi's confident expression as he spoke, the rest of the Kamomedai team couldn't help but feel a little puzzled.

"I heard that Akira from Karasuno and setter Kageyama were there too… are you saying…"

"Yes!"

Hoshiumi's eyes filled with recollection. He nodded slowly and said:

"During that training camp, Akira showed extremely strong defensive capabilities."

"And when I say 'defensive,' I don't just mean blocking."

"Akira is known for his blocking at the net — that's something a lot of teams already know."

"But what I mean by 'defense' here is receiving."

"Receiving??"

Everyone nearby looked confused.

"That's right," Hoshiumi said with a nod. "In my opinion, his receiving is even better than some liberos."

"His timing and technique are incredibly precise."

"It's like every opponent's spike is drawn to him."

"Is it really that incredible?"

The others exchanged glances, still unsure.

After all, Hoshiumi was being unusually vague.

In aerial battles, Akira was already known to be formidable.

But now Hoshiumi was saying that Akira's receiving was also outstanding?

"That libero from Itachiyama, Motoya Komori, was also at that Youth Camp."

"Judging from what I saw in terms of receiving during the training camp, the two of them—Akira and Komori—were neck and neck."

"Of course, maybe neither of them was going all out."

"Exactly," Hoshiumi said, nodding again. His brows furrowed.

"It's not just Akira. Kageyama's receiving is also really solid."

"During the camp, we often rotated positions and played trial matches."

"Kageyama took on the libero role multiple times."

"As Karasuno's setter, he's remarkably steady when it comes to receiving."

"And usually, the setter is a team's weakest point in that area."

"Since they rarely handle the serve or receive spikes, it's natural for them to be less involved."

"But if the team's setter can perform that well…"

"Then it's not hard to imagine the overall level of the rest of the squad."
