'They only have four more chances...'

Tsuna thought as he glanced at the scoreboard, which clearly showed the disparity in their points: 21 - 12.

He looked at Tsukishima, who still held the back of his hand as a cover, even though he knew Tsuna would serve it normally.

Tsuna couldn't help but shake his head, 'This guy... might be a little traumatized by what I've done...'

Still, it was thanks to Tsukishima that they were winning so easily.

The blonde freshman had been consistently blocking their opponent's spikes.

Although Tanaka managed to score a few points, it was still impressive how Tsukishima didn't bother to help and just calmly waited for the spike to come through.

Maybe he was training his receiving skills since he considered himself bad at it.

Or maybe he was too lazy... No way, right?

Looking back at the weird duo, Tsuna's gaze lingered on Hinata for a while. He couldn't help but wonder if he'd been wrong about him.

"Well, whatever..."

Tsuna wouldn't ignore what he instinctively felt, but maybe not today. He tossed the ball into the air, opting for another normal serve.

The ball sailed over the net in a steady arc.

Kageyama wasn't even surprised anymore that Tsuna didn't try to do a jump serve. He took a deep breath and looked at where the ball was going before he almost cursed out loud, Shit...

It went to Hinata!

'That might throw off our rhythm...'

But then...

Kageyama froze, his eyes widening. To his surprise, Hinata stood firm with his gaze completely locked on the ball.

'What...?'

Hinata received the ball calmly as the ball rose in a perfect arc. And just from Hinata's steady expression, Kageyama knew it might have been instinctive for Hinata to receive it high to keep their rhythm.

Kageyama cursed himself quietly, 'Fuck, what am I doing...'

He took a deep breath, and his cloudy thoughts cleared up. His focus sharpened as the ball floated toward his position.

"Holy shit, such intense focus..."

Tanaka muttered under his breath, goosebumps running down his arms. Without a second thought, he began to run.

Meanwhile, amidst this tense moment...

'Just run fast and jump high...'

Hinata repeated the thought in his head like a mantra as he bolted toward the net.

He remembered the time he crashed into the net. But this time, He could feel it—an unshakable certainty about where and when to jump.

Hinata's eyes then locked on Tsukishima, who was already moving to block the spot where Hinata was heading.

If he kept going straight, there was no doubt—he'd be blocked!

'Then...'

Hinata slammed his foot into the ground with a thunderous thud. The sound echoed across the court, drawing gasps from the audience.

In an instant, he pivoted sharply, changing direction like a blur of orange lightning.

"...!"

The sudden movement threw him off, and Tsukishima's eyes widened.

He scrambled to adjust but his long limbs lagged behind. Watching the little guy dart past, Tsukishima could only grit his teeth and mutter under his breath, "What the hell...?"

But Hinata didn't care. His mind was already ahead, his body moving on instinct. He reached the perfect spot and jumped—higher than ever before.

Not just Tsukishima—Kageyama was caught off guard too.

But he was still able to react to Hinata!

'Good. Now...'

Kageyama's sharp gaze followed Hinata's leap. His hands moved sharply, sending the ball hurtling toward the trajectory he knew Hinata would hit.

'Fly.'

The toss was flawless.

"Shit..."

"He's flying."

It was probably Hinata's highest jump of the game and everyone gasped in shock at the sight.

A small, short guy, jumping so high it looked like he was flying. It reminded them of Karasuno's legendary Little Giant from long ago.

Meanwhile, Tsukishima had already given up on reaching Hinata.

His long arms couldn't match the height of this ridiculous leap. But his sharp eyes were glued to Hinata.

And then he noticed it.

'What...?' His expression twisted in disbelief. 'Why... does he close his eyes?'

Hinata's eyelids were shut tight!

"What the fuck?"

It didn't make sense.

Who jumps for a spike with their eyes closed?

The absurdity struck Tsukishima hard. It wasn't just crazy—it was reckless.

Thinking about how absurd it was, Tsukishima couldn't help but cursed out loud, "Crazy motherfucker!"

"..."

But Hinata wasn't listening.

He swung his arm blindly as if reaching for something far beyond the court. His lips pressed into a thin line, trembling slightly.

'I want to take a peek...' A deep longing coursed through him, pulling him forward. 'The view of the summit.'

And suddenly, he felt it.

That elusive, breathtaking moment he had missed before.

His eyelids fluttered open, and he gasped. The world seemed to freeze around him.

The court stretched out below, and the ball floated in the perfect arc before him. The lights above cast a halo over the scene, illuminating every detail.

'Ah... No matter how many times I see it...'

It took his breath away.

'It just...'

A smile broke across Hinata's face. His hand stretched toward the ball, his body aligning perfectly with the rhythm of the toss.

Time slowed to a crawl.

The ball. The timing. The height.

It was all perfect. And Hinata somehow felt it...

...nothing could stop him!

'...wonderful.'

However...

As he gazed at the far corner of the court, imagining the ball landing in the seemingly unguarded summit, a shadow loomed into his vision.

"...!"

Hinata's eyes widened in disbelief as a towering figure rose before him. With his arms stretched high, the palms of his hands cast a dark silhouette covering his view.

The shadow blocked out the summit.

With a powerful swing, Hinata struck the ball. The impact was sharp and resonant like a crack of thunder splitting the air.

But then...

BAM!

A deafening sound echoed through the gym as the ball collided with the shadow's solid block and ricocheted back with force, slamming onto his side of the court.

"...!"

Hinata froze. His wide eyes followed the ball's path as he could only look at it in complete disbelief.

Everyone's eyes widened in shock as they stared at the person who had stopped the quick attack no one thought was possible.

Their jaws hung open in disbelief, and one question echoed in their minds, "H-how did he know it would work this time?"

"Wha...at?"

Hinata staggered back slightly, his breath caught in his throat. The ball bounced mockingly on the floor, its slow tap, tap sound cutting through the heavy air like a taunt.

Hinata's gaze dropped to the ball, then slowly trailed upward.

The looming shadow stood tall. And then he spoke, "I knew it..."

The calm face they had seen throughout the game, as if bored, was gone. In its place was a twisted grin, something unsettling and dangerous.

His eyes sparkled, like a child finding their favorite toy. It was a look that sent a chill straight down Hinata's spine.

It was truly...

...frightening.

"..."

Hinata's heart sank. The air around him felt suffocating. His legs, which had carried him so far, suddenly felt weak.

Tsuna took a slow step forward, his grin widening. His voice dropped to a low murmur, "...You're quite fun."

That block. The one Tsuna had pulled off so effortlessly. It had completely shattered both Hinata and Kageyama.

'That spike...'

Tsuna stared at his right hand, flexing his fingers as he felt a faint pang of pain coming from the spot where he'd been injured.

It wasn't unbearable—far from it.

The grueling rehabilitation sessions he'd endured were much worse. Compared to the pain he felt when exerting strength with his palm, this was minimal.

It was almost nothing in comparison.

Although, if the spike had been stronger, blocking it with his right hand might not have been the best idea. He made a mental note to meet with Junichi later, just to make sure everything was still fine.

But for now...

Tsuna stared at Hinata and Kageyama, who were looking at him with wide eyes.

His grin widened, 'I'll think about it later...'

He wanted more of this fun!

Meanwhile...

Hinata felt crushed, like an ant underfoot.

Kageyama, too, couldn't escape the overwhelming pressure radiating from Tsuna. It felt like a weight pressing down on them both, suffocating them.

They turned to the scoreboard, eyes locking on the numbers: 25:12.

They had lost the first set... terribly.

"..."

The realization hit them both at the same time. They were completely defeated in the first set.

And all they could do was stand there, paralyzed.
