Murong Si smiled at his sister before walking in the direction of the Yu house, even though he knew where the Yu family house was, he waited for his mother to relay the address to him. Since he had been scheming about this day for a long time, he couldn't make a mistake.

'Damn old woman! She has always been in my way,' Murong Tai did not know whether or not Old Madam Murong was aware of her thoughts and intentions but every time she tried to chase after Murong Si, her mother would interfere in between.

Thus, Murong Si felt relaxed with no one's gaze chasing after him like a guard dog.

Everyone in the village and the Murong family thought that he was upset because of what happened, however, compared to the freedom that he craved, this was nothing. For Murong Si getting out of the house where Murong Tai lived was much more important than the position of official husband.

He did not love Yu Tong nor did he have any feelings towards her, at most if he was asked to, he would give birth to a child for her but other than that he did not expect anything from her.

His experience had taught him to not expect anything from a woman as she would disappoint him sooner or later. Thus, for Murong Si this marriage was a way to escape the terrible fate that awaited him. If he was married to the Yu family then he was certain of one thing, even Murong Tai would have to think twice before making a scene or harming him.

As for the threat that she had given him, he was worried about it but at the same time, he believed that Murong Tai was only saying empty words as she did not have the slightest bit of courage. At most, she would try to kidnap him but with the Yu family backing him, he did not think that Murong Tai would be able to do much harm. For that, he had to strike a deal with Yu Dong.

One that she wouldn't be able to refuse.

A determined gleam flashed in his eyes as he arrived in front of the Yu house, he turned to look at the guard and said, "Miss, I am here to look for Madam Yu Dong. If she is at home, can you tell her that Murong Si is here to look for her?"

Murong Si? Was this not the fiance of Yu Tong? Why was he looking for Yu Dong?

"Eh, Master…are you confused? Are you here to look for Miss Yu Tong? Madam Yu Dong is the head of this house and Miss Yu Tong is the one you are engaged to," one of the guards spoke causing Murong Si to purse his lips.
