Greatest Streamer System

Max continued going down slowly as he taught Lily the safe path down. It was pretty easy as the tower was made from rocks placed on each other and was actually slightly slanted. The gaps were pretty big for them to put their fingers and feet.

Still, it took a long time for them to do this. To reach the ground, they needed around 30 minutes. There were some parts where Lily was about to fall. Fortunately, she managed to regain her footing, and they safely reached the ground.

When their feet touched the ground, the area shook once again, and the tower got eaten by the ground. Nothing was left of it, leaving only a clearing.

Afterward, Max took the stream mission reward.

"Got it. I also think we need to beat this mark first before continuing." He agreed and looked toward where the black circle was shown in the GPS. "It's that way, around 400 meters away."

Nodding, Lily followed Max through the animal trails once more. The dense forest covered the artificial sky above that flickered with blue light occasionally.

For a VR world, this forest looked really alive. Max could see some bugs and small animals crawling on the ground and something shiny behind bushes.

"Wait." He raised his hand and stopped on his track. Without explaining to Lily, he crouched and reached toward that shiny thing.

"Hmm?" Lily hummed in confusion as she watched him.

"Got it."

Before long, he smiled and got something pretty incredible. It was a stack of arrows in a quiver alongside a black compound bow.

"A bow?" She asked curiously as she looked at what he held.

"It seems so. Chat, tell me about this. Just the rules and don't tell me what I can use the bow for."

— Oooh! Compound Bow Obtained!

— Look at what he found: a bow!

— That's neat. The bow will be useful no matter what they do

— So lucky. He found a hidden item scattered through the forest

— In this game, you can find some items hidden behind the bushes. When it is hit with the sunlight, it will shine and be easy to spot

— It's like an extra supply, just like your survival knives and GPS. However, the items you can find are random. The bow is one of the most useful ones.

Reading the chat, Max nodded in understanding.

"It seems there are some items scattered through the map. We can find them easily when the sunlight shines on them." He explained to Lily.

"I see. So they can help us in the trial."

"And fend off hostile players," Max added as he handed the bow to Lily. "I am fine with a knife. You can use the bow. Please watch my back."

"Un, leave it to me."

Lily immediately slung the quiver on her back and held the bow in her left hand.

They continued moving toward the black circle mark while looking around carefully to avoid missing any items.

Finding them wasn't as easy as Max previously thought.

By the time they almost arrived at the black circle mark, they found no item at all. The clearing could be seen from afar.

A small lake with a small bridge leading to the center with a pedestal was apparent. The path leading to the middle had many symbols and looked like a maze, making it difficult to pass. Not to mention the two rotating blades that could cut one's legs if they weren't careful.

This trial was the hardest to clear among the two they had finished before. It could even be called by another name.

Max didn't notice it as he was looking at the chat before. He followed Lily's fingers and noticed two men sitting behind the bushes. They were looking at the clearing and hadn't noticed them yet.

"You're right." He whispered quietly.

"Should we kill them?" Lily inquired as she raised her bow. "I think I can snipe one of them from here and disqualify their team."

"No, wait." Max raised his hand to stop her. "Let's watch them for a bit. It seems they are planning something, and I want to know what it is."

Nodding at him, Lily lowered her bow.

Max's eyes narrowed like an eagle, looking at the hiding players like prey.
