Chapter 146: Chapter 146 Continuous Offensives

A gun is a deadly tool that can easily take a person's life, and it is also a powerful weapon for ordinary people to fight against Nen Users.

After everyone pulled the trigger, flames gushed out and bullets flew out of the gun barrel.

None were reckless enough to keep holding the trigger. At most, each person fired three bullets, most opting for burst fire. They intended to waste as few bullets as possible on Law and Sanbica.

In their minds, one bullet was more than enough to deal with the two.

However, when the countless bullets halted mid-air in front of Law, most of them lost the opportunity to pull the trigger again.

Law expanded his domain to protect himself and Sanbica, stopped the flying bullets, and then released his Aura to repel the bullets back.

Whoosh…!

There was no sound of gunfire, but the bullets zipped through the air, embedding themselves into the bodies of the surrounding Meteor City's guards.

Blood splattered like blooming flowers, accompanied by anguished cries. One by one, the gunmen collapsed, bewildered by their fate.

Out of the 400-plus people present, less than half remained standing after this single counterattack.

Those who were not hit by the bullets should perhaps be thankful that they only fired two or three bullets. The act of not wasting bullets undoubtedly saved their lives.

After reflecting the bullets and dealing with most of the people, Law and Sanbica ignored the rest and walked towards the alleyway they came from.

As he walked, Law released a powerful momentum powered by his Aura, enveloping the group of people who were not hit by the bullets.

The scene that just happened before their eyes, coupled with the Aura Law projected, directly made the remaining people lose the courage to pull the trigger.

Their hearts pounded, sweat drenched their bodies, and their hands trembled.

Despite the weapons in their grasp, they could not overcome their fear and pull the trigger again.

Law's Aura acted like invisible strings, binding their actions and dominating their thoughts.

They could only watch in silence as Law and Sanbica leave without being able to make any action.

In one of the surrounding buildings, Illumi leaned against a window, observing the scene below, with no emotion visible in his dark eyes.

A moment later, he slipped through the window and jumped onto the top of the building to tail Law from a distance.

Meteor City had four main districts, each with an exit leading to the outside world.

Law led Sanbica through the alley and came to the main street of East District. They could leave Meteor City directly from the exit of East District.

At this time, there was no one on the street, but Law could sense multiple hostile gazes from the shadows, their animosity palpable.

The hiding methods of this group of people are completely amateurish, or perhaps, they hadn't bothered to hide.

"Don't be too far away from me."

Law reminded again. He couldn't determine how many people were lying in wait, but there were certainly many.

Hearing this, Sanbica nodded. Her Nen could not block so many bullets. So without Law's protection, her survival against so many firearms was nonexistent.

"The range is too large. It will take a while for it to take effect."

She let her hands hang naturally at her sides, with Aura surging in her palms, releasing a large amount of virus that spread through the air to the surroundings.

The virus she chose wasn't particularly dangerous and can only cause the infected person to temporarily lose control of their limbs. However, it takes effect quickly and is the most suitable virus at the moment.

Although the conditions were limited, Sanbica could have chosen a more dangerous virus, but she did not want to cause unnecessary casualties, that's why she chose a gentler virus.

"Then we'll wait."

Hearing Sanbica's whisper, Law stood still, like a target exposed under the light, blatantly mocking the residents of Meteor City who were hiding in the dark and biding their time to strike.

If he used the domain, no matter how many armed assailants Meteor City sent out, Law could easily resist them, and he could also fight back with the flying bullets, but that would consume a lot of his Aura.

While he could maintain the domain long enough to stroll from here to the city's exit, without knowing how many Nen Users there are in Meteor City, consuming Aura without restraint would only put himself in a disadvantageous position.

As long as the opponents don't take the initiative to attack, Law preferred to let Sambika's virus incapacitate a large portion of them., thus avoiding wasting his Aura meaninglessly.

The core forces of Meteor City had gathered in East Street, including the other three Elders, who also came here to participate in the siege against the external threats.

They were positioned strategically, inside buildings, at alley entrances, and on rooftops, all keeping a sharp eye on Law and Sanbica, who are standing on the street.

Before the Elders gave the order, their subordinates did not dare to recklessly launch any surprise attacks on Law and Sanbica.

The three Elders are all Nen Users. Though their mastery ranked only mid-tier among second-rated Nen Users, they each possessed unique Nen Abilities.

Surrounded by dozens of their subordinates, the three Elders stood on the edge of the tallest building, looking at the backs of Law and Sanbica below.

Unlike the East District's Elder, these three Elders were dressed more normally and were all over fifty years old.

One is a short and fat man, with a bald head and many scars. He is the Elder of South District, named Shabo, and is an Enhancer.

The other is a thin, bearded man with one eye larger than the other. He is Elder of North District, named Kit, and is a Manipulator.

The last one is tall and strong, with a bulbous, ball-shaped nose. He is the Elder of West District, named Marshall, and is an Emitter.

"That woman…?" The short and fat Shabo stared at Sanbica's hands with a narrowed gaze.

"It must be her Nen Ability, but who knows what it does." Marshall sniffed and said coldly.

Kit remained silent. Through Gyo, he could see countless tiny bits of Aura drifting out from Sanbica's hands, like dandelion seeds scattering into the surroundings.

"No matter what her Nen does, we've got everyone in position. Just give the order." Shabo said in a deep voice.

Marshall nodded and said coldly: "Pass the order down and start immediately."

Upon hearing Marshall's order, the subordinates behind him all took out their radios and passed on the order.

Whether it is guns or radios, they are all equipment provided to Meteor City by the Mafia. In addition, there are many contraband military supplies.

As the order was given, Law immediately noticed the change in atmosphere.

The hostility from their surroundings intensified, becoming sharp and overt, like an unsheathed blade.

"They are probably going to take action now." Law said calmly.

Their intent was so blatant it was almost laughable, just shy of shouting their plans aloud. With such a style, it would be a waste of time to hide.

Law had just finished speaking when the hidden Meteor City's residents revealed themselves. It was clear from the start that they had no intention of engaging in close combat. Most of the individuals who emerged were armed with firearms, and at a glance, there were more than a thousand of them.

Seeing so many people and guns, Sanbica's expression tensed up a little, and he subconsciously took a step closer to Law.

At this time, gunshots rang out throughout East Street.

What surprised Law was that there were only thirty or forty people shooting, indicating they were aware of Law's ability to stop and redirect bullets. They avoided a full-on barrage to prevent their efforts from being easily turned against them.

"Since you know that guns are useless..."

Law stopped the bullet and then sent them flying back, taking down seven or eight enemies in an instant.

But at this moment, hundreds of grenades rained down from above and hurled toward Law and Sanbica.

At the same time as the shooting, the Meteor City's residents on the top of the buildings pulled the ring of the grenade, but did not throw it out immediately. Instead, they waited until the last second before the grenade exploded before throwing it at Law.

Like a deadly firework display, the grenades exploded mid-air before they could even reach Law and Sanbica, unleashing a massive wave of destruction that engulfed the two.

At the same time, under the watchful eyes of the three Elders, the surrounding people fired bullets towards the blast's center.

The coordinated assault treated Law and Sanbica as if they were high-level raid bosses.

"Even if your Nen Ability is quite tricky, it's impossible to block so many grenades and bullets." Marshall sneered.

After more than ten seconds, the gunfire ceased as the attackers ran out of ammunition, and the smoke from the explosions began to dissipate.

Not only the three Elders, but also the residents of Meteor City who participated in the attack were certain that Law and Sanbica had been obliterated, with their bodies reduced to unrecognizable remains.

Theoretically speaking, even a Single-Star Hunter would have fallen under such an assault.

After some time, the smoke completely dissipated.

However, the scene that emerged left everyone in stunned silence, with horror etched on their faces.

Even Illumi, who was watching from the shadows, was also surprised.
