Chapter 378: Playboy Dragon Scum, Grandson of the Holy Dragon
"We are each responsible for constructing a Cross-border Gate. Does this mean that once the Cross-border Gate is completed, we have the opportunity to independently rule the legion and conquer the plane?"
The girl's eyes gleamed with uncontrollable excitement. Once the Dragon Clan's desire for dominion emerges, it will only continue to expand. Unless the Death God descends, nothing can suppress it.
"This is a war of righteous vengeance that conforms to principles. Conquest is merely an incidental achievement, not the purpose of our war declaration."
Seeing his sister's excited expression, Iliad, as the elder brother, offered a gentle reminder.
"Mm-hmm, I understand. This is a righteous war, so will Father allow us to lead the troops independently when the time comes?"
Scadino somewhat dismissively replied to his elder brother and then resumed the previous topic.
Independently conquering a plane—what Dragon Clan with a desire for dominion can resist such temptation?
"Not likely. We're still too young."
Iliad shook his head,
"We don't have the capability to lead a plane war right now. Father only wants us to supervise the construction of the Cross-border Gates. Don't overthink it."
"Young? Brother, you're nearly two hundred years old, and I'm not young either. I'm almost graduating from Dragon Academy."
Scadilo complained discontentedly.
"So, you're still a student currently."
"But I'm also the ruler of Arendelle, the Ice Great Lord. My achievements are not inferior to yours."
The Ice Princess slightly raised her head proudly.
"These achievements are meaningless before the Divine. Once the Cross-border Gate is completed, what follows is a war against the Divine. Unless we possess the power to counter the Divine, we can't lead the war."
Terramus interjected. Though eager for war, he remained rational, aware of his actual level.
Therefore, although he received the task from his father to eliminate the Flame Sun Church's faith and oversee the Cross-border Gate's construction process, most of his energy still focused on his basic terrain: the Dark Territory.
He enlisted many Goblin Engineers into the underground, aiming to establish a Mechanical Undead Workshop there. He was no longer satisfied with the production pace of the Giant God Workshop since he amassed too many souls, eager to convert them to Mechanical Undead quickly, which necessitated expanding production capacity for offense and defense.
Of course, this didn't divide too much of his energy, merely continuing the previous plan, developing step by step. What truly consumed most of Terramus's time was the fact that he had found a mate.
Indeed, as a Dragon over a hundred and thirty years old, despite his growth being slowed by ancestral bloodline influence compared to Dragons of the same age, he had entered the Young Dragon stage.
This age group in the Dragon Clan, even among the traditionally conservative Metallic Dragon Race, is optimum for breeding. As for the Colorful Dragon Clan, there are records of them laying eggs in the Young Dragon period.
His physical development was near maturity, meeting the conditions. Naturally, as a Dragon, Terramus followed his heart to find a suitable mate.
However, the Holy Dragon Descendant, mingling in the underground for long, found no Metal Dragon Race appealing, and none caught his eye even in the Dragon Academy. Instead, he unexpectedly encountered a Wild Dragon Clan underground.
Of course, calling them 'wild' may not be polite, yet these Dragons indeed remained hidden underground without fame or records of their kind.
Gemstone Dragon Clan
A powerful branch only second to the Metal and Colorful Dragon Clans, yet unlike these two highly active branches, the movements of the Gemstone Dragon Clan were much more low-key. This is because most Gemstone Dragons are reclusive, rarely engaging in the Material Realm.
Wholly engrossed in his subterranean endeavors, Terramus 'dug up' a Gemstone Dragon Clan member quietly staying at home, never venturing out. Then the narrative unfolded rather conventionally.
A descendant born with privilege, surrounded by many admirers, was indifferent to them, but during adventures, he fell at first sight for a Wild Dragon Clan member lacking in social experience, becoming exceedingly enamored.
However, despite the Gemstone Dragon Clan being a strong Dragon Clan branch, its racial bloodline potential is slightly weaker than the other two major branches. It doesn't hold a candle to the Golden Dragon, and both the Silver Dragon and Red Dragon can overshadow any True Dragon Species of the Metallic Dragon Race.
Hence, out of certain apprehensions, Terramus concealed the fact that he had found a mate, neither confiding in his elder brother nor his father.
He planned to wait until 'the rice had been cooked,' meaning until his mate laid the Dragon Egg, before disclosing it. That way, even with opposing opinions, the fact would have to be accepted.
However, Noah was far more open-minded than his offspring expected,
"You have a child?"
Noah felt rather peculiar, even complex, because, in his self-perception, he was still a very young Dragon.
After all, he had just entered adulthood, yet his very own son tells him that while he slept, he got himself a little female Dragon.
For fear of being disapproved or disliked, he concealed the matter from him. Now that the Dragon Egg has been laid, he chose to bravely announce it.
