Golden Dragon: Six Thousand Years of Empire

Chapter 374: Golden Dragon and Titan, Super Mixed Blood

"Don't you want anything at all!"

Noah watched his grandnephew fade into the darkness and shadows, feeling somewhat troubled.

This grandnephew had solved a troublesome issue for him, yet it seemed there was nothing he could reward him with now.

Wayne had come this far, especially after becoming an Overlord of the Eternal Night. While his path to godhood and becoming immortal was bound to be fraught with difficulties, before he prepared for divine enthronement, the road ahead was open and smooth, allowing him to walk as he pleased.

Although Wayne's racial transformation device was not completely finished, neither his Purgatory Bloodline nor his Titan Bloodline could be entirely suppressed by the rank of an Overlord of the Blood Clan.

Yet even so, the negative influence from Purgatory was suppressed to its limit, while the Titan Bloodline was fully and intactly preserved by the boy.

Therefore, from the current point of view, young Wayne seemed to lack nothing. Even this journey, laden with sins he bore, yielded him a bounty of benefits.

Not to mention the numerous clergy who received divine nourishment, the kind of top-grade essence ordinary blood clans could only dream of tasting, Wayne had drunk so much of it that he could puke.

Noah couldn't quite fathom how much this boy had stockpiled, but he could sense the magic power within him was skyrocketing. Even if his realm didn't break through, his magic power accumulation was entering an alarming surge period.

This is the terrifying aspect of the Blood Clan Overlords of the Eternal Night: as long as they can access blood, they can grow stronger indefinitely. More importantly, they can create a sea of blood, mimicking the pseudo immortality and undead characteristics akin to divine powers.

If Wayne were to stage a small rebellion now, even Noah would find it somewhat troubling—not that he couldn't suppress it, but rather he couldn't utterly destroy it.

To the divine beings outside the world, they may not regard the Overlord of the Eternal Night, but to the creatures of the Material Realm, an Overlord of the Eternal Night is an almost unsolvable existence. Once such a being arises, it is universally acknowledged by the blood clan as the Supreme Monarch.

"To have no desires or pursuits does not mean being truly unburdened!"

Noah was not troubled too long by this situation of having nothing to reward or bestow. Wayne indeed had no special needs, but his descendants were still with him.

"I had planned to delay a little longer, but now it seems I might as well try it ahead of time!"

...

"Why? Why can't I become stronger? Why can't my bloodline awaken any further? Am I only able to come this far? Why? I refuse to accept it!"

A voice close to madness, frustration, self-reproach, and filled with intense dissatisfaction echoed through the forest. It was a giant, a giant wielding golden thunder, capable of forging armor with thunder.

He was the undisputed ruler of this forest, and every dragon beast or dragon-man that attempted to challenge his position eventually perished under his Thunder Spear.

In the past twenty years, no creature dared to challenge him; the powerful dragon beasts around all acknowledged his rule over this forest hell.

However, such accomplishments did not bring the Golden Giant satisfaction. Instead, it fueled his dissatisfaction and strong self-doubt.

For in the recorded history, there had never been a Titan Bloodline Awakener as pathetic as him, who occupied a forest and became a ruler of the wilderness, akin to a Wild Giant.

Although the environment here was highly unusual, being an oversized experimental ground created by Ancestral Golden Dragon Noah to select and cultivate more powerful favored ones and establish a legion.

Yet ruling over such an experimental ground bore no glory, and even more unacceptable for Golden Giant Sorlon was that, despite this, he wasn't the strongest within the Dragon Domain.

On this land, over twenty creatures could rival him, and among them, two or three Dragon Vein Giant Beasts could defeat him.

Undeniably, these were rather disheartening results; decades of hard work and striving resulted only in being caught in a middling position within an experimental ground, never reaching the pinnacle.

If word of this got out, he would undoubtedly become the shame of the Augustus family; he wasn't worthy of becoming a Titan Bloodline Inheritor.

Never had there been an Augustus family Awakener as dismal as him.

"Sorlon, what are you raging about now?"

At this moment, a loud shout rang out, pulling Sorlon from his emotional breakdown.

Yet when the disheveled Golden Giant looked up to the being who spoke, his heart wrenched painfully, with an indescribable bitterness instantly spreading in his mouth.

For it was a High Rank Dragon-man, appearing at first glance like a towering Golden Dragon, complete with dragon horns, dragon wings, dragon scales, and dragon tails; all features of dragon species present in him.

"Raymond, you're here."'

Sorlon's face seemed to calm, but inside, he grew even more troubled and restless, with no other reason than that the High Rank Dragon-man before him was one who could contend with him in the vast Dragon Domain.

What Sorlon found hardest to accept was that this worthy opponent of his was someone he had personally nurtured.

It was something that happened fifty years ago. Back then, Sorlon, under the assistance of some unknown force, advanced rapidly in bloodline awakening.
