Golden Dragon: Six Thousand Years of Empire

Chapter 369: Cataclysm and Calamity: Dragon Army

"People! As you can see, during my deep sleep period, I suffered a vile assassination orchestrated by the Divine. They intended to eliminate me and dismantle the order I have built."

Noah hovered above Elisium City; with each breath, the vast elements gathered beneath him, forming a throne that bore his ancestral body now entering its mature stage.

The six-winged Great Angel Commander, blazing with fiery crimson, stood beside the Holy Dragon, surrounded by the Holy Dragon's Sons, who had inherited the Ancestral blood.

The Dragon Lords, who as a whole had entered their mature stage, with most in the mature stage, manifested around the throne as protectors. These Dragon Lords, for the most part, revealed their true forms, emphasizing the Holy Dragon's nobility and majesty amidst the assembly of dragons.

However, the Dragon Lords gathered by Noah's war summons, although not under any coercive command, manifested according to their own will. Yet, no dragon could maintain transformation magic in the presence of the Ancestral Golden Dragon at this moment.

Every creature must show its true form before the Holy Dragon, including its offspring, for Noah no longer concealed himself, displaying and unveiling his mature power to the land.

It was a terrifying presence akin to the fall of the great sun—vast, magnificent, blazing, radiant, and unstoppable. This power harmed no one but brought unparalleled pressure and awe to the surrounding creatures.

Submitting to this power did not feel uncomfortable; rather, it felt like basking in the glow of a winter sun. However, should any thoughts or actions of resistance arise, the harshness and majesty of a blazing summer sun would be felt.

"But regrettably, this shameless and laughable assassination ended with the failure of the Divine. My companion safeguarded my security, ensuring I suffered not the slightest harm, allowing me to enter my mature stage smoothly."

The angel Ophelia, standing at the Golden Dragon's side, could not help but glance at Noah, fully aware of her role in that assassination attempt.

Even without her presence, the dragon beside her would scarcely differ from its current state, but without her meticulous vigilance, a god hunter or two might have escaped.

"Yet, the death of the assassins does not signify the end but the beginning. Because I have seen and understood the enemies we must face in the future.

Previously, I never imagined that those lofty Divine would possess such narrow-mindedness; they could neither accept nor tolerate my existence, viewing me as a threat to their status."

They want to destroy the order I spent my life building, which you currently enjoy in your lives.

Who among you is willing to accept such an arrangement?"

When Noah's question ended, a roar of indignant emotion echoed throughout the major districts. Not a single Dragon-man could tolerate the fact of the Divine opposing the Holy Dragon,

"What Divine, they're merely a bunch of pseudo-gods, Your Majesty, you are the only True God on this land!"

"Holy Dragon Emperor, eternal and immortal!"

"Cast the Divine down from their Divine Throne!"

"Revenge! War! Let the gods know fear with blood, let them know awe!"

"Gold eternal, the sun immortal, the glory of Your Majesty for ten thousand years!"

The flames of vengeance ignited in every Dragon-man's eyes, and this is what Noah desired. Even though his realm would henceforth enter a state of war, and all Dragon-men would be swept into it.

Noah was well aware of the harms of waging war; even a victory that gains land and resources inevitably results in massive casualties—failure would be needless to say. These are one of the roots from which the Dark Fruit grows.

But Noah would not shy away from war due to the pain tasted from consuming the Dark Fruit. War is the path necessary for civilization growth, power expansion; nations that shy and evade wars come to no good end.

Beings or forces that should not retaliate ultimately face oppression unto death, with no dignity, only ridicule and mockery from others as an evaluation.

Only those who resist, who strike back, who reveal their sharpness, have the qualifications for survival in this world that essentially follows natural law.

Therefore, as the tumultuous roar gradually quieted down, Noah's war declaration spread far and wide,

"War, is the response I will give to the Divine, and you will be my greatest confidence in wielding the sword against the Divine. To destroy the secular realms of the gods for me, to shatter their temples, to topple their idols!"

When Noah's words subsided, Elisium completely boiled over. In the eyes of foreign visitors to the city, those Dragon-men who usually seemed kind and genteel now appeared insane. They donned their ancestral armor, picked up exquisite alchemy weapons, and spontaneously formed armies to gather, even though the subsequent war summons from the Holy Dragon did not fall upon them.

Noah had not let the flames of vengeance cloud his mind; he maintained the previous standards for the admission criteria of his subordinate battle group, not only refraining from lowering them but continuing to raise them.

Strong and valiant Dragon-men could gallop on the battlefield to serve him, while those with insufficient strength could also serve in other ways and make contributions. Noah never intended to thrust all Dragon-men onto the battlefield. Besides, the Flame Sun Sect Country, which was the immediate target, neither required nor qualified for such a force.
