Chapter 348: Kid, Do You Want a Wife or Not? (Part 2)
Noah's exclamation shattered the smile that had just appeared on Sorlon's face.
His words didn't sound like praise at all, and the underlying disparagement made this young man, whose self-esteem was not weak, show shame and a bit of embarrassment.
"Am I the weakest?"
"Yes, but you don't need to be disheartened. Bloodline awakening isn't set in stone. You can stimulate your bloodline through hard work and awaken further.
But starting from such a low point, to achieve the same accomplishments as your ancestors, you'll need to put in ten to even a hundred times more effort to possibly catch up with them."
Noah comforted the young man, who looked somewhat dejected,
"Of course, with my assistance, every bit of your effort can yield more results."
"Since I'm so weak, why do you want to help me?"
Sorlon asked with some confusion.
"You are indeed weak, but among your peers, besides you, there is no other bloodline awakener in the Augustus family's new generation.
I have no choice. Although your character isn't bad either, as you said, there are plenty of people with similar character.
So you don't have to think too much or worry. I chose you simply to maintain the bloodline heritage of the Augustus family."
Noah's words were like blades stabbing into Sorlon's heart, but they also brought the young man, swept by a wave of ecstasy, back to reality.
Making him understand that he wasn't anything special in the eyes of this noble being, the only special thing was his mysteriously awakened Titan Bloodline.
Apart from the bloodline, even though he has Augustus lineage, it doesn't prevent him from struggling for food and warmth like ordinary people around him.
"Now tell me your decision, are you willing to go with me?"
"Of course, I'm willing."
Even though he was treated as a tool for passing on the bloodline, compared to being completely free from his difficult living conditions and no longer worrying about survival, this small hit to his dignity was nothing.
Even if not for himself, he has to think about his mother and sister. He promised his late father that he would take care of them.
Now that the opportunity to change his fate is in front of him, how could he refuse it out of momentary pride?
"Not bad."
Noah nodded with satisfaction.
"If I refused, what would you do?"
Sorlon, with unexpected courage, dared to ask.
"Of course, I'd still take you with me. I've already said you're the only awakener of the new generation. I have no choice, and neither do you."
Noah replied with some irritation.
"Then why ask my opinion?"
"To give you the illusion of having a choice, making you feel like you have a little freedom."
"But I don't have freedom."
"What right does a weakling have to talk about freedom? That's something only the strong are entitled to have."
Noah glanced at the young man who seemed inexperienced with life's harsh realities and ruthlessly pointed out the truth,
"To truly have freedom, the only thing you can do is become stronger."
"In your eyes, what kind of person can I become?"
"Isn't that up to you to decide? What's it got to do with me? If you're asking about future strength, I think you have a chance to challenge the current King Atlas, replace him, and bring the Augustus family back on track."
"Isn't the current King Atlas a Dragon-man Monarch? Why would you want me to challenge and replace him? Wouldn't that conflict with your interests?"
"Of course, it would hinder my interests to some extent. But I've made promises. To me, the weight of those promises far surpasses any potential losses I might incur. Whether or not it will eventually lead to losses depends on your conscience after you rise to power."
Noah gave Sorlon a meaningful look, and the young man, who had just managed to stand up, collapsed again under that gaze. It wasn't that he enjoyed kowtowing; he simply couldn't stand.
"Go tell your mother and sister, I'll take you back in a bit. Let them be prepared mentally and not panic."
"I'll tell them now."
As Noah retracted his awe-inspiring presence, Sorlon quickly got to his feet and went to find his only two blood relatives.
As he walked out of the room, Sorlon realized that despite being just a few steps away, his mother and sister were completely unaware of what had transpired in the room. When he recounted everything he'd just experienced, his mother and sister both concluded that he must have lost his mind due to the old man's meddling.
It wasn't until Noah appeared before the family and casually sliced open a space passage leading directly to Elisium City did Sorlon's family believe his words, though they also went into a state of mental shutdown.
"Why are you still dawdling? Waiting for them to get used to it? How long will that take?"
Noah stepped into Elisium City and looked back at the dazed young man,
"Hurry up and bring them over."
From there, the family of three, who had been struggling in a poor northern country, moved directly to the East's Holy Dragon Land, settling in the very heart of the land.
Such treatment would be enviable to millions in Elisium City. Even their temporary small residence would be something many would strive for their whole lives, yet it was just a minor benefit.
Because this was one of the most basic benefits received after gaining the Holy Dragon's attention, insignificant compared to the fame that would come overnight.
The news that Holy Dragon Noah brought back an Augustus with an awakened Titan Bloodline created a sensation, not just in Atlas but also in the Holy Dragon Land.
Even though Noah possessed a complete Ancestor Dragon Bloodline, the Titan Bloodline had an extraordinary significance for this land.
Without Noah issuing any orders to block the news, Sorlon's existence spread across the Holy Dragon Land in a few days, shaking the Atlas Kingdom.
Nonetheless, this was nothing, as the now weak Sorlon was still under the protection of the fairies. Even though many wished to meet or befriend him, most were unqualified or unable to approach him.
But this 'almost' didn't apply to everyone. For some people, they could see him in person the moment they got the news, if they wished.
"Haha, I'm delighted that there still emerges an awakener of the Titan Bloodline in our Augustus family. It can continue to be passed on!"
Having obtained firsthand information, Alexander hurried over. Looking at the fearful and somewhat self-deprecating youth before him, Alexander couldn't help but burst into laughter as he patted the young man's shoulder.
The Golden Dragon Lord Alexander was unlike his father or grandfather. His obsession and dedication to power surpassed even the previous two monarchs combined.
Therefore, when he knew there was a bloodline awakener in the new generation, he felt a strong threat, especially since the awakener was born in the North, outside his purview, which made him even more wary.
However, all his concerns, wariness, and anxieties vanished the moment he met Sorlon. Even Alexander, who bore the kingly aura, couldn't help but laugh out loud.
"What's your name?"
"Sorlon."
Facing the kindly-looking Dragon-man who gently asked for his name, Sorlon tried hard to control himself and not let his voice quiver with nerves.
"That's a fine name indeed. Do you have a partner? I have a daughter who's just come of age..."
