Golden Dragon: Six Thousand Years of Empire

Chapter 309: Suffering Brothers Reunite

"My dear child, you've worked too hard lately. From now on, you should stay with your grandmother. I'm planning to visit your brother next."

Orsya glanced at Noah, who was once again admiring the relief sculptures. She could clearly tell that her grandson hadn't revealed everything, only part of the truth.

But even that part was enough to infer the brutal training he had endured recently.

Which Metal Dragon needs to learn how to master Enslavement Magic? Forced to enslave enemies on the battlefield to enhance one's own strength, even Colorful Dragons don't need to do that, likely because they can't.

"Visit my brother? That's great, I've never met my brother before!"

Hearing her grandmother's words, Terramus, who had briefly recounted his past eleven years, immediately showed joy.

In his recounting, he omitted the suffering he had endured, not mentioning the kinds of enemies he faced. On one hand, it was out of respect for his father, and on the other hand, he didn't want to worry the two elders who cared about him. After all, he had survived, and there was no need to dwell on the past.

"You haven't met your brother yet?"

With a sharp glance at Noah, who was appreciating artwork, Noah, unable to bear the scrutiny, as even his father hadn't spared him,

"Noah, what's going on? Haven't these two children met each other?"

"Iliad met Terramus, it's just that he was sleeping then."

Noah had to explain.

"So, your two children haven't met once when awake, or had any interaction?"

"Because Terramus was too young at the time..."

Noah was still trying to justify himself.

"You're too ridiculous, Noah. For the foreseeable future, your father and I will take over caring for Terramus. You don't need to worry about him anymore."

The two Mature Dragons clearly saw what kind of education Noah had been giving his children. Although unaware of the exact circumstances his grandson had faced, they imagined it must have been terrible.

Their sympathy was most stirred by the fact that such an understanding child had to endure this suffering. This guy just isn't a fit parent.

"But what about your injuries?"

Noah expressed concern for his parents' condition.

"No need to worry, we can recover without hibernation."

"Alright then."

With his own parents wanting to take care of the child, Noah had nothing to say but agree.

Thus, custody of Terramus fell into the hands of Noah's parents. These two Mature Dragons, despite their injuries, took their grandson to have some fun in Noah's territory, and with Serena's power, crossed the seas to the Alviss Continent to visit their eldest grandson.

"They just took your child away, and you didn't do anything to stop it?"

After sending Orsya off with some reluctance, Serena came to stir up things with Noah.

"Why stop them? Isn't this great? Terramus indeed went through a lot, and now he can rest a bit."

"Has his obsession with magic been corrected? If not, when he comes back, all previous efforts could be wasted."

"Hmm, you could say it's been corrected."

Noah pondered for a moment and replied.

"What do you mean, 'could say'? It's either corrected or it's not."

"He won't let his obsession with spells interfere with important matters."

Noah answered.

The advice from his foster mother, Serena, proved to be very effective. Under the stimulation of life-threatening crises, many bad habits can be quickly eradicated, and new habits and interests can form.

"Then it means it is corrected. In that case, going out to play is fine, he should enjoy what it means to be a Golden Dragon."

"I'm thinking the same."

Noah nodded, then brought up serious business he had long considered,

"Aunt, I have a profitable venture here. Are you interested in participating?"

"What profitable venture?"

"A venture profitable enough to build a Floating City!"

Noah's words were stunning, instantly capturing Selena's full attention. As a Legendary Mage, her current greatest aspiration was to own a Floating City of her own.

However, it wasn't something she could accomplish alone. Despite the support of a Hell Lord, the resources obtained from Hell are, to some extent, illegal assets requiring laundering conversion, resulting in a slow rate of saving.

"Such high profits? Why are you looking for me if there's such a good deal?"

"You're my foster mother, who else would I turn to if not you?"

He said this, but Noah mainly considered her prestige and background, substantial enough to hold the fort, not backing down even against a Beastman Demigod or an Ascender.

Noah aimed to profit from the Helan Continent, but his focus could not remain solely on a Different Plane. He needed someone with strength and background to maintain Plane trade, or to exploit the technological gap between civilizations for unilateral plunder.

Therefore, Selena was the optimal choice—there was no one more suitable—and Noah was even willing to split the profits equally with her.

"Such talk should be left to fool your children. Explain your big venture clearly."
