Chapter 298: Rescue by the Father of the Holy Dragon
"Undead Black Scripture?"
Originally intending to move around a bit, searching for resources and supplies amidst the Shattered ruins, Terramus came to a complete stop after discovering the book suddenly appearing in his spiritual sea.
Born with an obsession with magic, Terramus had always been deeply fascinated by spells. Although being thrown into the Great Graveyard, teeming with undead, corrected this obsession somewhat, encountering the Undead Black Scripture, filled with profound knowledge, once again captivated him.
Although the contents are all related to the undead, Terramus considered it knowledge worth learning. There was no need to generate negative emotions of disgust and rejection just because it's connected to death.
Death always stands in opposition to the living. Most living beings loathe and fear it, while only a few can accept it calmly, often holding extraordinary traits.
Even among the Divine beings, those who can master the powers of death are among the top existences, rarely provoked by others.
"So interesting, to think you can create undead like this. I can try it out right now."
In the underground palace filled with undead, acquiring necromancy materials is exceedingly easy. They're everywhere; you can simply pick them up, if necessary, even pry out the bricks and stones from the corners to use.
However, before practicing, Terramus had to ponder one question: where did the Undead Black Scripture come from?
This Undead Holy Scripture, filled with so much secret knowledge, why did it appear in his place and even cut him, making it his own?
Reflecting on his previous experiences, this Undead Holy Scripture must have been deliberately given to him by the master of this Underground Maze, otherwise how else could he stumble upon it by luck?
Terramus wasn't foolish nor naive. He had already discovered that the dominator of the Great Graveyard did not intend to kill him but also did not want him to have an easy life.
If he wanted a more comfortable life, he could only strive for it himself, and now the opponent was placing a path in front of him.
"Father, do you want me to become a Necromancy Dominator, or perhaps, the Death God?"
The intelligent Holy Dragon Descendant precisely identified the ultimate culprit, believing that all he was experiencing was orchestrated by his father.
Otherwise, why else would he still be trapped in this graveyard filled with undead when he should have already been taken back to the palace of infinite radiance?
However, even knowing the truth was useless—it did not change his current predicament. All he could do was speculate what standards he needed to meet to leave this place.
Now it seemed that relying only on his strength to fight his way out was the only option, otherwise he could not leave. As soon as he left the current room, it wouldn't be long before he encountered irresistible undead pursuit.
"Where is Terra?"
Compared to his youngest son, who was struggling with how to escape the Great Graveyard, Noah was facing another problem: the mother of his youngest son had come looking for him.
As a dragon mother who had lost contact with her offspring for seven years, Agnes was now particularly irritable. Even when facing an Ancestor Golden Dragon several times her size, she showed no fear,
"Why won't you let me see him? I am his mother."
"I'm not keeping you from seeing him, it's just that he's currently going through training."
Noah patiently soothed the mother dragon in front of him.
"Training? He's just a hatchling, what kind of training does he need?"
Agnes could not accept the explanation Noah provided.
"Precisely because he's a hatchling, he needs to undergo training. Haven't you ever heard the saying that education should start from a young age?
I have high hopes for Terramus. I want him to become a dragon as strong as I am, so he cannot slack off even during his hatchling phase."
Noah found ample reasons to explain.
He could understand a mother's love for her only offspring, but he could also imagine how such a mother would react seeing her offspring trapped in the Land of the Undead.
Though he did not fear, he wished for a relatively warm and harmonious court atmosphere as his powers were aimed outward, not inward.
"Become a dragon like you? Can he also become an Ancestor Dragon?"
The previously agitated Agnes became significantly calmer upon hearing Noah's reasoning, her bright golden eyes filled with hope.
As a qualified Golden Dragon mother, Agnes naturally hoped her offspring would achieve great success and have a radiant future, ideally just like his father.
However, Agnes knew this was impossible because her child inherited only half of the ancestral bloodline. Under the influence of his mediocre mother, he exhibited severe regression, stronger than ordinary Golden Dragons but only just so.
"I was able to evolve from an ordinary Golden Dragon to undergo Ancestor Return, becoming the Ancestor Dragon I am today. My child has a better starting point and foundation than I did, so why can't he?"
Noah questioned, though he himself did not yet know how to make his two offspring undergo a complete Ancestor Return and possess the ancestral bloodline.
However, Noah believed such problems were temporary. As his own strength continued to grow, there would surely be a solution.
