Gojo Satoru: The Strongest Sorcerer Among Exorcists

Chapter 26: Chapter 25: Nino, Is This a Date?

"Mmph mmph! (No, no!)"

The man struggled desperately, trying to summon his demonic powers to regenerate his limbs, which had dissolved into bloody mist.

But before he could manage it, the foot pressing down on his mouth shifted slightly forward.

Shhk—

His head exploded.

Blood splattered across the walls, even reaching the ceiling in grotesque streaks.

"Looks like demons aren't all that interesting after all," Gojo Satoru muttered, shaking his head as he withdrew his foot with a hint of regret.

With the matter resolved, it was time for lunch.

Still, he needed to call the Tokyo Onmyoji Branch to handle the cleanup. Someone had to take care of the aftermath, after all.

After making the call and confirming that Tanino—the guard who had been knocked unconscious—was still alive and only fainted, Gojo left the hospital.

As for the Curtain? No worries.

Once the other Onmyoji arrived, it would automatically dispel.

Two Days Later

The next two days were rather pleasant for Gojo. Whenever he got bored, he'd tease Shizuka Hiratsuka, only to be harassed in turn by Natsumi Bekki.

Gojo didn't mind Natsumi's bold flirtation—it amused him greatly, and he often played along. Their antics grew so exaggerated that Shizuka ended up punching them both, leaving them sulking in separate corners of the room.

Meanwhile, Gojo continued to teach his Japanese literature classes for Year 1, Class F as usual.

Well, not that usual. Whenever he craved sweets, he'd duck out of school to buy some, leaving Shizuka to cover his lessons.

The students often grumbled: Who's really our homeroom teacher here? Hiratsuka-sensei or Gojo-sensei?

Saturday Afternoon

It was finally Saturday—Nino Nakano's planned meeting with Gojo Satoru.

At the Nakano residence, Nino was furiously trying on outfit after outfit, standing before her mirror.

She admired herself each time but couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

"Ugh, this is so frustrating!"

She tousled her hair in exasperation, feeling like she was losing her mind.

"Forget it! I'll just wear my usual clothes."

To preserve her sanity, Nino decided to stick to her daily style—a black dress with a Lolita-inspired design.

After putting it on, she adjusted the skirt and tied her signature black ribbon in her hair, nodding in satisfaction at her reflection.

Time to go.

But as soon as she descended the stairs to the living room, she was met with a sight that made her pause.

Her four sisters were sitting neatly on the sofa, their gazes locked onto her.

"Uh... what's with all of you?"

Feeling their eyes boring into her, Nino couldn't help but blush.

"Nino, is this a date?" Miku asked softly.

"Eh? No way! Do you actually like someone, Nino?" Ichika teased with a sly grin, covering her lips with a hand.

"Don't tell me... it's a bad boy?" Yotsuba asked innocently, tilting her head.

As her sisters, they knew Nino's taste in boys: they had to be handsome, with a bit of a rebellious streak.

Of course, it was just a playful jab—Nino would never seriously consider a bad boy.

"What bad boy?!" Nino retorted, her voice rising. "And it's not a date—it's just... just a simple meal. Don't overthink it!"

Her tsundere nature flared up, her words trying to downplay the situation.

Though in her heart, she had already decided to treat this outing as a date, there was no way she'd admit that to her sisters.

They'd tease her to death!

"But if it's not a date," Yotsuba said innocently, "why did I hear you muttering in your room earlier, 'What should I wear for this date?'"

"You—!"

Nino's face turned beet red, and she glared at Yotsuba, too flustered to say more.

Yotsuba shrank back with a guilty expression.

"I'm not wasting any more time with you guys. I'm leaving!"

Slipping on her little leather shoes, Nino hurriedly opened the door and left, slamming it shut behind her.

Thud!

The sound of the door closing lingered as Ichika rested her chin on her hand, deep in thought.

"Why don't we follow Nino and see who she's meeting?" she suggested with a mischievous smile.

"That's not a good idea," Itsuki said hesitantly. "Nino will definitely be mad if she finds out."

"It'll be fine," Ichika waved dismissively. "We can just apologize together later. Besides, aren't you curious about who Nino's date is?"

Of course they were curious.

The three remaining sisters didn't say a word, but their intrigued expressions spoke volumes.

Seeing their reactions, Ichika grinned and flashed a peace sign.

"Let's hurry, or we'll lose her!"
