Going For The Dream

Chapter 38: Chapter Thirty-Seven

I stood in front of my window looking out at the garden. The weather started getting warmer so the gardeners started cleaning it up. I wanted it to be perfect since it was March 19th. Which happened to be Aiden's birthday. He was now 20.

"Lil bit. It's almost time. Are you ready?" Raiven asked as he placed a hand on my shoulder.

I tilted my head back to look at him and nodded. Everything was done. Raiven and I just had to surprise him when he got back. He went to his old pack to check it out before he put the finishing touches on taking over.

I turned around and grabbed Raiven's hand, interlocking our fingers. I smiled up at him. "Let's go welcome him back."

We walked out of my room and went down to the living room. I looked around. A banner saying happy birthday was hanging from the bannister. Balloons were everywhere. They lined the ceiling and the floor.

"Turn off the lights." I ordered just as I heard Aiden's car turning onto the driveway. Soon everything was black. No lights were on anywhere in the house. We wanted him to think no one was home. "Mask your presence."

I listened as Aiden pulled to a stop. He didn't get out right away. Most likely checking out the house, wondering what was going on. He then turned the car off and got out. He slowly approached the house.

He was fiddling with his keys. He only did that when he was uncertain about something. He stopped in front of the door. He stood there for a bit. He slowly inserted the key in and turned the handle. The door slowly swung open.

I gripped Raiven's hand tighter and smiled up at him. I couldn't wait to see Aiden's face. Raiven tightened his grip also as he gave me a small smile. I knew he was just as excited as me even if he didn't show it.

"Surprise!" Everyone yelled just as the door fully swung open. The lights turned on and we could see Aiden standing in the doorway with his mouth open and eyes huge. He slowly looked around at the decorations. His blue eyes slowly landed on Raiven and I.

He started opening and closing his mouth but not saying anything. His eyes flitted around the room. They wound land on us and then move around the room and then on us again. He could keep his eyes still.

I giggled while watching him. Soon enough Raiven had to hold me up so I didn't fall to the floor. Aiden's eyes snapped to me and then stayed. I pointed at him as I held my side while I tried to catch my breath.

"You look so hilarious." I said between hiccups. "You can't stop looking at everything. You can't even say anything." I slowly stood straight and looked Aiden in the eyes. "Happy birthday Aiden."

He stood there staring at me for a few seconds before he slowly took a step toward me. He stopped again. When I just smiled at him and didn't do anything he started walking toward me. With every step he started going faster until he was basically running toward me.

I let go of Raiven's hand and held my arms out so he could land in them. Once he did I wrapped my arms around him as he buried his face into my neck and wrapped his arms around me. Soon I felt something wet on my neck. I giggled as I realized he was crying. He may be an alpha but he was a big crybaby.

'Raiven, send everyone into the ballroom.' I told him through our mindlink. 'I'll calm him down.'

Raiven looked down at me. 'Ok.' He then turned toward everyone else. "Let's go to the ballroom." He ushered them out.

I listened to the footsteps fading away. Once everyone was gone I slowly slid Aiden and I down to the floor. I rubbed his back. He slowly calmed down. He slid down so his head was in my lap. For some reason they both liked to lay their heads in my lap. I started playing with his hair. His body relaxed more.

"Calm now?" I asked as I ran my fingers through his hair.

He nodded. Guess he didn't trust his voice yet.

"Too much?"

He shook his head.

I tilted my head. "First time?"

He nodded.

I knew he didn't have a good time at his old pack but to think no one celebrated his birthday was beyond me. My family always celebrated everyone's birthday. Hell. Kiela and I had two celebrations. One together and one separate. We were twins so we had to celebrate together but we were also separate people so we also had a separate celebration.

I smiled down at Aiden as he opened his eyes and stared up at me. "It won't be the last time. I promise. We will celebrate it every year."

He opened his mouth and his eyes widened. He closed his mouth before opening it again. "You mean it?"

I nodded. I won't let him go another year without a celebration.

He lifted his hand and placed it on the back of my head. He pulled me down so my lips touched his. We kissed gently and slowly. He was expressing his thanks, nothing more. When we pulled apart I pressed our foreheads together.

"Are you ready for the rest?"

"Yes." Aiden replied. His voice was raspy. It was almost like he barely used it.

I giggled. "Good. Let's go." I pushed him off my lap and stood up. I took his hand once we were both standing. I took him to the ballroom. He looked around once we entered.

It was similar to how it was for my birthday but we decorated it with blues and greens instead of gold and silver. Ribbons of every shade of blue and green hung from the ceiling. The tablecloths were a light shade of blue. Banquets lined the walls with all kinds of food and drink.

We found Raiven to the side of the door waiting for us. He walked up to us and pulled Aiden into a hug.

"You good?" Raiven whispered into Aiden's ear.

Aiden nodded as he gripped the back of Raiven's shirt.

I placed a hand on Aiden's back. "Do you want to tell him or me?"

Aiden's grip tightened as he buried his face into Raiven's neck. "You."

I smiled. "Ok." I looked up at Raiven. He was already looking down at me with an eyebrow raised. "It's his first celebration."

Raiven let out a breath. "Really?"

Aiden started shaking. He gave a small nod.

Raiven started rubbing his back. "It's ok pup. We will celebrate it from now on."

Aiden pulled back and looked into Raiven's eyes. "You mean it? Every year from now on? No missing a year?"

I giggled at how eager he was. He was so cute. For an alpha he had some traits of an omega. It was adorable. "Yes Aiden." I reassured him again. Raiven and I can keep telling him until he believes us. We wouldn't get tired no matter how many times we did. "We will keep telling you no matter how many times you need us to."

Raiven tipped Aiden's head back. He pecked his lips. "Hundred times or a thousand. It doesn't matter. We will keep telling you." Raiven whispered against his lips. He leaned next to his ear. "We could tell you in bed if you wanted." He whispered.

I groaned. That made my member throb. Raiven glanced at me out of the corner of his eyes. He smirked as he pulled back from Aiden.

"Guess that turned on our omega." Raiven told Aiden. Aiden looked down at me. I'm sure he could see the redness on my cheeks.
