Going For The Dream

Chapter 30: Chapter Thirty

A couple days later we all met up at my pack house. I walked out to the backyard and looked around. All my pack members were there along with Raiven's. They were waiting for their orders from the Alphas.

All day I felt tingly in my belly. If I'm right my heat is about to happen. I hope it doesn't start until this raid is over. I didn't want to have to ride it out until Raiven and Aiden were back. This will be the first heat I had since I stopped using the medicine so I knew it was going to be really strong.

My eyes finally landed on Raiven and I smiled. He was standing on the stage we used for pack gatherings. I walked over to him and snuggled into his side. He quickly wrapped his arms around me. I looked up at him. "Where's Aiden?"

Raiven glanced down at me and then looked around. He was making sure no one started trouble. "He's waiting inside. He's nervous about standing in front of everyone."

I hummed. I knew he would since he was part of the pack we're raiding today. He was worried he was going to be hated. Wait a minute. "I didn't smell or sense him on my way out here."

Raiven looked down at me and smiled. "He's blocking his presence. He didn't want to worry you."

I frowned and rubbed my face on his chest. "Doesn't he know that doing that makes me more worried?"

Raiven threaded his fingers through my hair. "Yes but he didn't want you to focus on him. He wants you to focus on the others." He kissed my forehead.

I sighed. "Fine. Just because that's what he wants."

Raiven pulled me closer to him and ran his nose along my neck. "Good. I need you here. You are after all going to be my Luna."

I looked up at him and smiled. "What about Aiden?"

Raiven smirked at me. "He will also be the Alpha. We will have two Alphas and a Luna." His fingers slid down from my hair to graze my cheek. His thumb rubbed my bottom lip.

I giggled. "Yes."

Suddenly I started hearing murmurs. I turned my head and looked around. My dad was walking over to us. Everyone was trying to guess why he called them here. Dad walked up on the stage and stopped next to us and held his hand out to Raiven.

"Thank you for coming, Alpha Raiven." Dad said, looking into Raiven's eyes, asking him to play along.

Raiven took my dad's hand and shook it. "It's my pleasure, Alpha Colten. You don't have to call me Alpha yet. I haven't received the position from my father yet."

Dad laughed. "Why is that? Have you not found your mate?"

Raiven smiled down at me. "I have but we haven't mated yet." He looked back up at my dad. "I can only get the position if I'm mated. I'm only here because it involves my mate."

Dad glanced at me and then looked around. Everyone had their eyes on Dad and Raiven. Dad looked back at Raiven. "Who's your mate?"

Raiven smirked down at me and pulled me closer. "Your son. Killian Borg."

I could hear the murmurs getting louder. Only a few people knew I was an omega let alone I was Raiven's mate. I glanced over at the crowd and frowned. I stepped out of Raiven's arms and stepped closer to the edge of the stage. I stared out at them until they started quieting down. I waited until I could no longer hear anyone talk.

"I'm sure everyone is confused. I'll explain the best I can." I paused and looked around at everyone. Their eyes were set on me. "I am an omega. I started taking medicine when I presented to make it seem like I'm alpha since I didn't have my mate at the time. It was safer that way" I whispered the last sentence. "I met Raiven at my 18th birthday party and found out we were mates. He's my best friend Charly's big brother. He will be the Alpha of the Blazing Amber pack." I watched as everyone's eyes grew huge. This match was a big deal.

"He knew we were mates when he presented but for some reasons we couldn't meet until I was 18. He slowly took over the Alpha duties but he can't really be the Alpha since we haven't mated." I looked down. "I wasn't ready for that so we have been putting it off but then we had some problems that needed to be taken care of before that." I looked back up and glanced around at everyone. "Those problems are why we are here." I glanced back at Dad and Raiven. "They will tell you more."

I ran back into Raiven's arms and buried my face in his chest. He wrapped his arms around me and held me tightly. He leaned down and put his lips next to my ear. "Good job Lil bit. That took some courage. Do you want to go inside to Aiden?"

I wrapped my arms around his waist and held on tightly. I shook my head. "No. I want to be with you." I lifted my eyes a little so they were looking at Raiven through my lashes. "Besides, if I leave now they would start questioning it."

Raiven ran his fingers through my hair. "Right. We don't want that right now." He kissed my temple. "Let me know if you want to go to him."

I nodded. "I will."

Raiven drew back a little bit but not enough to make me leave his arms. He looked over at Dad. Dad nodded at him. Raiven took a deep breath. "Just like Killian said. We met in person at his party. We bonded but didn't mate the next day and I took him to college with me since we had to wait until the bond calmed down. We were confronted by someone I thought of as my best friend. Instead of congratulating us they made a scene and disrespected my mate."

Raiven tightened his hold on me. "We were then confronted by a family member of theirs. I decided to teach them a lesson for disrespecting my mate. For the past few weeks we were gathering evidence against them since they also tried to go after my family's company. The government's now going after them but we then decided to teach them a lesson within the shifter world."

Raiven growled and looked around everyone. I ran my hands along his back to calm him down a little bit and it worked. "We are here for a raid against the NightShade pack." He glanced down at me and I nodded at him.

"We actually have help with that. Killian and I have another mate that is part of that pack. He has been helping us since the very beginning. When he found out someone was willing to fight his Alpha he approached us. That was how we found out he was our mate." Raiven slid his hands down to my waist. "I would like him to come out here and introduce himself to you all."

After a few seconds I felt Aiden coming closer to us. I lifted my head and looked to the side. He was slowly walking towards the stage. I looked up at Raiven. He smiled down at me and let go. I kissed him on the cheek and then stepped back.

Once Aiden was on the stage I ran over to him and threw myself into his arms. He quickly caught me and buried his nose into my neck. His nose ran along my scent gland. His arms tightened around my waist. I felt Raiven's hand on my back. I looked up just in time to see him kiss Aiden on his temple. Raiven and I both stepped back. I never let Aiden go though. I was wrapped around his arm.

Aiden turned toward the crowd. He took me off his arm and wrapped it around my waist and pulled me into his side. He grabbed Raiven's hand.

"I know this is weird but I am here to help you. I am Aiden Knoxx. I'm part of the NightShade pack. In their eyes I'm their number three. I train them but I have never trained them to make them strong. I trained with Crescent Moon and Blazing Amber since I presented. I wanted to be strong so I could fight against them some day. When I found Killian and Raiven I was more than happy to take them down."

"I don't like them and don't want to be there." He looked away. "The only reason I'm still there is because I was born there and if I tried to leave I would be hunted down. I'm strong but I know I would not stand against all of their warriors at once." He looked back out at everyone. "That is why I would love to help you with them. I can get you in undetected. With the position I have in the pack I know every secret the pack has. Secrets no common member knows."
