Chapter 546: Moon Enclave
"Welcome to the Moon Enclave," Matriarch Skyla said softly, her steps graceful and light. "Ancestor Skulnen, Chief Bonen, and Master Ethan, let us head to my Moon Fortress to talk."
Her tone was calm, carrying the subtle authority of someone who had led her tribe for centuries.
By now, Elder Meyla had already returned and reported everything that happened in the Bonepiercer Tribe, so Matriarch Skyla dared not show even a trace of arrogance.
Instead, she bowed slightly, her posture respectful, before leading them toward the towering fortress behind her.
Ethan's eyes narrowed as he walked, carefully observing his surroundings.
The Moon Enclave was breathtaking—wrapped in perpetual twilight, its landscape lit by countless moonstones embedded into towers, walls, and bridges.
Silver bridges arched over crystal rivers that shimmered with faint lunar energy, while the very air carried a hypnotic aura, almost slowing the heart and clouding the mind.
A perfect reflection of the Moonshadow Tribe's heritage—illusions and shadows woven into reality itself.
"It is indeed… beautiful," Ethan murmured. His voice was calm, yet his sharp eyes missed nothing. So far, among the three Secret Enclaves he had visited, the Moon Enclave was the most enchanting.
Once they entered the grand hall of the Moon Fortress, Ethan stopped walking. His gaze locked onto Matriarch Skyla and the dozen Ancient Elders… ten women and two men.
"Let's not waste time." His tone was steady, quiet, but carrying a natural authority that pressed down on the hall.
"Matriarch Skyla, I came here for one purpose. Swear your loyalty, along with your entire Moonshadow Tribe, to follow me just like the Bonepiercer Tribe."
The hall grew deathly still.
Though Skyla had already prepared herself after hearing Elder Meyla's report, the directness of Ethan's words still pierced her heart like a blade.
"Like I promised Chief Bonen, I will personally nurture a Soul Transformation Realm cultivator from your tribe," Ethan continued, his words echoing across the grand hall. "Along with cultivation resources to strengthen the Moonshadow Tribe as a whole."
Matriarch Skyla smiled faintly. She had already decided to submit the moment Meyla told her everything.
But she wanted to hear the benefits directly from Ethan's mouth—and now that she had, there was no reason to hesitate.
She knelt on one knee, pressing her fist across her chest in a solemn gesture.
Behind her, the Ancient Elders followed, their movements sharp and disciplined, a ritual bow akin to knights pledging fealty.
"The Moonshadow Tribe swears loyalty to Master Ethan," Skyla said clearly. "From this day forth, we follow you."
"From this day forth, we follow you."
The Ancient Elders repeated the same with full respect in their eyes and tone.
[Congratulations to the host for gaining the loyalty of the Moonshadow Tribe.]
[The host will be rewarded with a High-level Life Card: Godly General Revival Life Card.]
'What? A reward?' Ethan's brows lifted slightly, though he kept his expression calm. 'I wasn't expecting that.'
After gaining the loyalty of the Bonepiercer Tribe, getting the Moonshadow Tribe's loyalty wasn't difficult, so Ethan wasn't surprised by their submission.
But receiving a reward—especially when there was no mission whatsoever—was something else.
Moreover, the Godly General Revival Life Card was exactly what he needed.
'Originally, I wanted to use my next Godly General Revival Life Card on the Peak Rank 8 Azure Serpent Fiend King… but it might be better to use it here.'
Ethan silently planned in his head, 'If I revive someone in this tribe using this card, I'll immediately see their exact loyalty to me just like Ancestor Skulnen. That way, I won't need to watch over them constantly—that revived subordinate will do it for me.'
Even though Ethan could not see Chief Bonen's exact loyalty, with Ancestor Skulnen, he was not at all worried about the Bonepiercer Tribe.
Because in the Hermit Tribes, loyalty was cultivated from a young age, and until now, there was no one who betrayed the tribe in the Green Lotus Tribe, Primal Fang Tribe**,** and even in the Bonepiercer Tribe.
So, he wanted to follow the same method for the Moonshadow Tribe and live worry-free.
With a small smile, Ethan spoke. "Matriarch Skyla, since your Moonshadow Tribe has sworn loyalty to me, I will give you something." His gaze sharpened. "Wake one of your oldest ancestors—someone who is very close to death."
Ethan knew that the system would definitely generate the Special Talent [Eternal Vitality] for those who lacked lifespan. So, Ethan decided to choose someone who was closer to death.
'The closer someone is to death, the easier it would be to gain their loyalty.'
This was what Ethan thought in his head.
'T-this….'
Matriarch Skyla stiffened. Her eyes flickered with hesitation.
Once such an ancestor was awakened, their remaining life force would collapse, and they would surely die within a day.
Even though she had sworn loyalty, her trust in Ethan wasn't yet blind enough to follow such a command without thought.
"Little Skyla, do it," Ancestor Skulnen's voice broke the silence. His tone was steady, carrying an undeniable weight. "Master Ethan has a way to extend life. Do not worry."
Matriarch Skyla's pupils trembled. Ancestor Skulnen was someone who had been close to death himself, yet here he stood brimming with vitality—more youthful in energy than Chief Bonen, who was thousands of years younger.
Taking a deep breath, Skyla bowed. "Then… I will awaken my predecessor. The previous chief of the Moonshadow Tribe."
She left the hall and moments later returned.
Beside her walked a frail, skeletal old woman, her skin like parchment, her aura faint—like a candle guttering in the wind.
An ancestor who had less than a day to live.
"Old Hag, y-you… you are still alive?"
Looking at the old woman brought by Matriarch Skyla, Ancestor Skulnen was shocked.
"So, it is Little Skulnen from the Bonepiercer Tribe."
The old woman chuckled, treating Ancestor Skulnen, who was more than 10,000 years old, as a little kid.
"You must be Master Ethan, who claims to increase my lifespan. If you can really increase my lifespan by at least 10 years, I will gladly serve you for whatever lifespan you bestow upon me."
At the same time, she walked to Ethan and swore to become his servant for life if he could really help her gain at least 10 years.
