Chapter 578(Magic Castle Extra Chapter)
After Sorrel finished speaking, his gaze shifted to the distance.
There, a brilliant golden radiance surged upward, condensing into a pillar of light that pierced the clouds and connected heaven and earth. The spiritual energy of the swamp trembled faintly under its pull, like tides responding to the moon.
"There." Sorrel raised his chin slightly. "That's the source."
"I can see it." Ember's eyes narrowed.
"But first, let's deal with what's in front of us."
As she spoke, her gaze turned sharp, locking onto Ethan.
Sorrel and Eryon followed her line of sight.
"…That's the third young lady of the Sky family."
"The man beside her—he looks familiar." Eryon frowned.
"He's the one who caused trouble at the entrance of the Training Trial Secret Realm. The one who openly provoked our Palace of the Four Cycles."
Ember's brows slowly knit together.
She stared at Ethan without blinking.
That day, at the gate of the secret realm, this man had trampled on the majesty of the Palace of the Four Cycles and openly challenged her father, Valerius. Even with multiple supreme experts present, he had acted as if no one mattered.
She had not forgotten that face.
"I didn't expect it would be you." Ember's voice was icy, devoid of warmth.
At her words, Elara's heart sank.
So it really had come to this.
Risa's expression turned grave as well. Although she had witnessed Ethan's terrifying strength with her own eyes, this was no longer a matter of one or two enemies.
This was the entire Palace of the Four Cycles.
Lunara. Ember. Sorrel. Eryon.
Each one was a top-tier genius, a figure standing at the pinnacle among their peers. And behind them stood clan elders whose true strength had been forcibly suppressed by the rules of the secret realm.
Zeph had been the weakest among them.
Even if Ethan was monstrous, could he really stand against all of them at once?
"Miss Elara," Ember said coldly, her gaze shifting to Elara.
"Why are you with this man? Do you even know what he did outside the secret realm?"
Elara clenched her fists.
Under Ember's pressure, she felt as though a mountain was pressing down on her shoulders.
She remained silent.
Sorrel chuckled softly. "Although the aura at Zeph's death site was extremely faint, I can still recognize it. You should be the one who killed Zeph of the Heavenly Palace."
His eyes gleamed as he looked at Ethan. "Am I wrong?"
"That's right," Ethan replied calmly. "So what?"
The calmness of his tone caused several people's expressions to change.
"So it really is you." Sorrel's smile faded.
"Outside the secret realm, you dared to challenge the authority of the Palace of the Four Cycles. Inside the secret realm, you went even further and killed the young patriarch of the Heavenly Palace."
"You're not just arrogant," Sorrel said coldly. "You're courting death."
Ethan smiled faintly. "If his skills were inferior, then his death was inevitable."
Eryon snorted and took a step forward, his demonic energy surging. "I'd like to see just how capable you are."
"Wait."
Lunara raised a hand, stopping him.
"The Dragon Leviathan Fish is here," she said calmly. "Don't rush."
Her gaze then turned to Elara. "Miss Elara, why are you with him?"
Before Elara could answer, Sorrel spoke again.
"There's no need to ask. I've heard before that the Sky family recruited a guest elder named Ethan." He smiled thinly.
"Now it seems this is him."
"Turns out the Sky family had a third Sage Token."
"You let this man sneak in to cover your tracks."
Sorrel looked directly at Elara. "Am I right, Miss Elara?"
Elara's eyes flashed with anger.
"Ethan is a guest elder of my Sky family," she said coldly. "As for Zeph—he made the first move. His death was entirely his own fault."
"So that's how it is." Lunara lowered her eyes slightly, murmuring inwardly.
Aether… Ethan…
Two identities. One person.
So cautious.
"Since the Sky family refuses to recognize their mistake," Ember said slowly, her killing intent surging, "then don't blame the Palace of the Four Cycles for being ruthless."
"Today, Ethan will die here."
"And the Sky family will pay the price for sheltering him."
Her voice fell like a blade.
"If you want to keep me," Ethan replied calmly, "I'm afraid it won't be so easy."
He took a step back, retreating together with Kara and the others.
"Miss Ember," Ethan said with a faint smile, "did you forget something?"
As he spoke, the water below suddenly surged.
The Dragon Leviathan Fish, which had been silently observing like a spectator, finally moved.
It did not care about grudges or factions.
Anyone who entered its swamp was food.
Its massive tail swung violently, tearing through the air like a collapsing mountain, smashing toward Ember and the others.
Ember reacted instantly.
She raised her arm, and golden demonic energy burst forth. Hundreds of feather-shaped blades condensed in midair, interlocking into a massive golden shield.
Bang—!
The tail collided with the shield.
The resulting shockwave was terrifying.
The swamp water was forcibly pushed aside, exposing thick layers of black sludge. Mud and water rained down like a storm.
Ember and the others were forced back dozens of steps before stabilizing themselves.
She dispersed the feather blades, her expression turning grim.
"This Dragon Leviathan Fish isn't suppressed by the rules of the secret realm," Ember said. "It's a peak Inferior Demon Lord."
"What now?" Eryon asked.
"Deal with the beast first, or deal with Ethan?"
Ember glanced at Ethan, her eyes cold and calculating.
"Let's wait," she said after a moment. "See who this beast chooses first."
Lunara nodded lightly.
This was the outcome she most wanted.
Avoiding a direct clash with Ethan—for now—was the best choice.
"Roar!"
The Dragon Leviathan Fish suddenly opened its abyss-like mouth and let out a thunderous roar.
The sound rolled across the swamp, shaking the air.
Its aura surged violently.
Then, something terrifying happened.
On its massive head, points of golden light began to appear—one by one.
They stretched and split.
Cracks formed.
And from within those cracks, rows of golden pupils slowly opened.
Twelve in total.
Dense. Cold. Ancient.
Elara's face turned pale. "That's… the Twelve Golden Eyes."
"The Dragon Leviathan Fish whose bloodline has fully awakened."
"This is its true form."
"Twelve Golden Eyes…"
Within Ethan's mind, Alicia's voice sounded as vast streams of information flooded in.
"When the Dragon Leviathan Fish's bloodline awakens."
